The USSD code was created before this coronavirus epidemic and it was a way to may it easy for members that don't have an internet connection to donate without stress. The members of the church are not complaining and I am sure you are not a member and no one forced anyone to pay, in fact in winners, if you don't pay tithe no one will know because the church is big and not all members pay tithe.
Oyedepo has no obligation to give because you pay don't tax to him, this should be the responsibility of your government, not the church. Oyedepo offers scholarships to students yearly but you will not know because is not on FP. Do you know that covenant university alone employs more than 2000 people?

Good morning nairalanders, I am Samuel Oluwagbenga. it all started in 2013 when I was introduced to bet9ja by my friends and I started betting with 100naira, 200naira, everyday and it always lost. It's a shame!

You insult the whole church members because you want to make a point, no one force anyone to pay tithe but why not direct your frustrations to your government that force you to pay tax and yet can't provide essential services.

Yes the tithe is the believe of Christians and while it's good to support the work of God, but the work of God is just building empire or competing who is the richest pastor as it is in Nigerian Penticostal Churches of today.
Doing the work of God is when the life of the people (members) are impacted positively.
