dmahn:congrats bossmi me, abeg wetin be their minimum deposit |
peteregwu:Yeeeee boyyyyyyy, even though I don't trade ucad, your analysis is inline with my view on the DXY |
GabsonFX2:Done sir |
GabsonFX2:I'll do that sir, thank you so much once again.. DM sent to your mail sir. |
GabsonFX2:Thank you so much bossmi, this is very much helpful to me. and yes my postgraduate studies will be related to engineering as I graduated from mechanical engineering, although my research interest for masters is the field of energy engineering, but I am open minded and wouldn't mind changing to AI, Cloud or machine learning provided I can get the opportunity after building myself and my profile. I eagerly await the job postings so that I build myself up to the requirements. Thank you very much sir. |
Puremark:Thanks for your kind suggestions but they are a big no for me as it is not in line with my Japa plans. Although I intend to study and learn both python programming and data analysis because my goal is to further my post graduate studies abroad and one of the required skills in my field of interest is proficiency in data analysis or python programming or even mathlab. But nevertheless thanks again for your kind suggestions. |
Shout out to boss PriceActionZ for the pdf you shared freely from Fundednext, it was quite an eye opener. While I was reading through the ebook, it talk about a lot of mistakes which traders make which is also common knowledge to anyone who has been here for a long while in the trading space, I know a lot of them but I have not made conscious effort to tackle some of them. But after reading the ebook, I made a resolve to implement this new routines, going forward, although I have to give myself credit for even putting myself on the right path b4 even coming across the book in terms of risk management and the number of pairs that I trade. so going forward, I made a resolve to only trade between Tue to Thurs, no more trading on Mondays and Fridays. I think this will help me reduce the number of trades that I take as I only focus on nasdaq and US30. Also judging from my past performance through my trade explorer from the month of December till this very moment, my biggest wins and profitable trades always occur within those three days. Linking my accounts to a trade explorer has also really been helpful to me as I am able to track my performance and statistics better and also they kind of serve as my trade journal... cheers and wishing us all a profitable week |
I am bearish this week on indices as I expect profit taking from last week bull run, and also seasonal tendencies shows that the end of February and also the month of March tends to be bearish month for stocks, also, in the case that PCE deflator comes in flat or higher this Thursday, we could potentially see more stock sell off as the expectations for rate cut would be kicked further into the year. For NQ and YM, the CE of the BISI created last week on the daily chart is the next DOL, COT reports shows that both commercials and non commercials are net short on the sp500 the leading benchmark, this could weigh down indices this coming week.

Happy Sunday folks, So last week was overall good for me and this week promises to be interesting with loads of volatility as we have GDP and PCE deflator the Fed's favorite tool for gauging inflation coming up this week on Wednesday and Thursday this week, I still remain solidly bullish on the greenback due to strong economy and recent uptick in inflation in the US, last week manufacturing and services PMI continues to be in expansionary territory compared to other global economies, this shows that the US economy not just performing well but also growing and expanding, if another stronger NFP comes out for the month of February, boy o boy no more rate cut until Q3. So far so good, I say long live the dollar bulls

Donsheddy:Bossmi wetin gone ![]() |
dmahn:tag me @olaoyedavid3 |
JasonNOTStatham:That's why most trading firms or hedge funds subscribe to Bloomberg terminal, because they get the news 30sec b4 the news is even released officially |
nzechu:Bossmi na NEPA no wan bring light for 2days for my area, na why I never post charts, I'm also seeing sells on both too, price has made new highs last week and it's only natural for a correction to the downside to take place before continuing up. |
twosquare:My bad, GDP 28th, PCE 29th |
Puremark:pls can you suggest or recommend some. although I started learning python programming but I couldn't continue due to severe epilepsy of light in my area |
F1re:bros abeg no quit your job ooo, I was also a teacher like you but I quit last year December because I was preparing for NYSC, unfortunately for me the new directive by the DG that all prospective corpers should use their NIN when registering for service and its compulsory, meanwhile there's a mistake on my date of birth for my nin and it does not tally with all my documents including my BVN, I have to rectify it. I went to the NIN office 2 weeks ago and made remita payment of 16k for the correction of the date of birth and uptil now the change is yet to be effected on my NIN, I have been to their office to make complaints and I was asked to come back next week. now I can't go back to the school that I teach because they have already gotten a substitute teacher for the subjects which I teach. although I have a very good record with the school but there's no vacancy for me there. I have had a test of trading full time and with all sincererity, I don't think it's what I want to do for the rest of my life, of course you have the freedom and luxury of time, but danger there is that you will overtrade and make stupid mistakes by spending too much time on the charts, or even try to force trades during periods of low volatility in the markets. Honestly staying at home is killing me and I feel unproductive. If not for my NIN mishap which I'm still trying to fix, I should have been on service now, I even went to immigration office to apply for my international passport but I could not do that as I was told that my NIN is a requirement, so I have to fix my NIN before I can even apply for a passport, this is really fustrating. Honestly trading full time is really boring and that will definitely lead you to make silly mistakes which can cause serious damage to your account. you might claim that you have strong discipline and psychology but I have come to realize that the human mind is never to be trusted especially when you are tempted to do things which you are not supposed to do. |
realone12:Gold that is not as profitable as US30 sef 😠 |
twosquare:what about US GDP release on Tuesday and PCE deflator data on Thurs |
hassan50:Haaaa, this is serious ooo, |
hassan50:You say what? 😱 |
Nwadaka:First of all I come in peace... the problem with most ICT students is that they are too toxic and act like savages. I am also an ICT student too and one of my fundamentals mentor trades supply and demand, infact his favorite chart pattern is flags and he is pretty damn good at it, but I personally don't trade flags as my trade style is ICT 2022 mentorship but despite the difference in our technical discipline I still learn from my mentor. And even Michael Huddleston my ICT mentor and teacher has said to his students that they do not need to implement all his models or concepts to be profitable, they only need to pick one of his concepts or find something that repeats everyday in the market to be successful. if ICT himself with all his wisdom and experience emphasize on the importance of sticking to things or patterns that repeats everyday in the markets, then who am I to argue with anyone who has found a pattern that he/she has consistently be profitable with. There are many roads that lead to Rome, the ultimate goal of every trader which we all can agree on is to be profitable irrespective of what method you use. I trade ICT concepts because it is where I find my own consistency, I have tried other concepts and I couldn't succeed with them especially support and resistance, I hated it with passion because I felt it was way too subjective, but ICT concepts was easy for me to understand and implement when I study it, would I then say that anyone who trades support and resistance is an unprofitable trader when we have evidences of exceptional traders like Dapo Willis and peteregwu. pls let's stop being controversial. A martial arts master said and I quote, it is not the fighting style that matters in a fight but the skill of the fighter that matters, a fighter is only as good as his skill is... cheers |
Davigle:closed my nasdaq long with 120 pip profit, although I am disappointed with myself because I allowed my greed to cheat, if I had stuck to my original plan and closed my trade at tp2 I would have bagged 200 pips but I modified my tp2 and price never got to it, alas greed cheated me when I should have been contended. meanwhile structure has shifted bearish, and I anticipate some correction to the downside on nasdaq before we continue our journey up north... As for gold, I am super angry with gold after price went 90 pips in my direction, it reversed all the way up and hit my stoploss, I have decided to take a break on gold and focus on US30 and US100 only if my trades had hit my target today, I should have been completely out of draw down on my 5%ers account, but nevertheless I'm just 35 dolls away from break even, I hope next week will be good as this week was for me. it was a profitable week so far and I didn't over trade this week. #progress |
XAUTrader4L2:Spot on sire, gold definitely to 1980 and below then |
morning folks, gold currently at 2020, my first target is 2013, and then 1995. I won't be taking any trades today but I will be monitoring my open positions on US100 and gold, |
Davigled:US100 tp2 modified to 18140 Gold sell at 2027 triggered |
Davigle:Seems like US30 is going according to my anticipation which I made at the start of the week
|
GabsonFX2:I also flipped bullish last night after market close, Nvidia posted their earnings last night after market close and it beat market expectations (positive earnings). Before the earnings was posted, Nvidia closed down at 620_ish, but after the earnings release at the post market trading hours it jumped to 700_ish level. that's why I'm also bullish on nasdaq. price has already moved up 200 pips from market open during asian session. crazy move. |
Nawao, the prop industry is really under attack in North America, that's the reason why US or Canada isn't attractive to me for my Japa plans, too much regulations and stringent policies...
|
One more thing, shout out to kozmicity, abham, rhynoemmie, and et all hope you guys are good. And to jameselias, hang in there buddy, pls don't give up |
Goldie barbie; Stronger dollar means weaker demand for gold except there's a black swan event. I'm looking forward to the blue line scenario. US30; Still bullish on the Dow, because the stock market greed seems unabated, the magnificent seven remains buoyant because of the tech sector is still in good shape and the buzz on AI hasn't die down. So the stock market is a stubborn bull.

Hi folks, last week price delivered as I had anticipated on both the DXY and gold, but US30 didn't go as planned but the bias still remains the same. Going forward into the new week, the week promises to be super boring, with US holiday on Monday and no market moving events within the week, we may likely see some consolidation or correction of last week's price action. DXY baby; I'm still bullish on the dollar for the following reasons; The US economy is still outperforming it's competitors, as the EU is still in bad shape although she narrowly avoided a technical recession, whereas, Britain and Japan unfortunately fell into a technical recession due to poor GDP growth. Hot CPI and PPI release with poor retail sales, which has spike up inflationary fears in the US, one of the reasons for that is the rebound in oil prices towards $80 which caused the prices of food and services to spike up a bit in the US. Lastly, strong PPI and CPI sent treasury yields higher, and they are not about to give up on their gains...
