Despite being pitted to play African champions, the Super Eagles in the final play-offs for the World Cup, Ethiopia are so sure of qualifying for the Brazil showpiece that they are already thinking of their would-be opponents in the tournament.

One of their star players, Menyahil Teshome, told Addis Guday, an Amharic magazine, that Eagles cannot stand on their way of playing for the first time at the World Cup, where they hope to play against Spain and Argentina.

“Nigeria are a good side. We played them at the Nations Cup in Africa and they defeated us. But we fought on that day. We know them and are confident that we are going to defeat them to qualify for our first World Cup. “We are counting on our fans to help us achieve this objective. In fact, we are already seeing beyond Nigeria. It is the World Cup we are preparing for, where we hope to play against Spain and Argentina on the field. We believe that our dream will be realised”, said Teshome, who plays for Dedebit, in the Ethiopian league.

Ironically, Teshome was the player caught in the web of ineligibility clause, which made FIFA to deduct three points from them during a previous match against Botswana. But he returned to score the winner in their 2-1 victory over the CentralAfricaRepublic on September 7 in Brazzaville. Even with the points deduction, they still finished with 13 points to finish top of Group A, comprising favourites South Africa, Botswana and CentralAfricaRepublic.

They play Nigeria on October 13 in
Addis Ababa.

Anyway, i am not against anybody's opinion especially that of Sexkillz's loyalists but i want to strongly condemn some of their derailing nature to tribalize the OP's request. How on earth could you say some people supporting this are yoruba tribalists?? It gives a true picture of the kind of being you are.

Personally, i never knew Sexkillz since i have been on Nairaland until about 3 days ago when he came on to prove critics right of the opinion they have about him. I won't dig much into this because the issue has been sorted out already. I believe everyone who was part of the #OccupyNairaland struggle know what i am talking here.

However, i plead with everyone here calling for his head to kindly give Seun a benefit of doubt. He has promised to carry out some sensibility trainings on some erring mods and who knows? This might bring the much needed desired changes!

I have never been banned on Nairaland for over two active years of my using this forum not until during the struggle which was lucidly unjustifiable but later rescinded within hours.

I also want to say that as mature social forum users, let us try as much as possible to respect other peoples opinion and constructively counter any one that we think is not right other than resolving to insulting co-members. It doesn't show how mannered we are.

Nairaland is our forum,
We are all poised at one direction; A better Nairaland!

Seun: Dear Nairaland Members,

...However, I apologize for the inflammatory statements that some of them have made and I promise to expose them to some sensitivity training.

Best regards,
Seun Osewa.
This part is needed to be done asap, an apology letter to Nairalanders will definately prove to us that he has been rehabilitated... Good Morning Amingos
Nairaland GeneralRe: A Response To The Open Letter To Seun Osewa by Davo93(m):
Great Response Seun and i must indeed say i am impressed. But why did it take you so long to respond??

Moreover, despite all what we said earlier, this same Sexskillz still parades himself around Nairaland to spew nonsense. If truly he is not your staff, then we strongly advice you do away with him before he destroys your work.

We also plead you to set every imprisoned accounts due to the former open letter free. I think moving this particular letter to the front page shouldn't be that hard to let offline contributors be aware of this new development.

In the meantime, i appeal to all loving members of Nairaland to let us take Seun by his words and allow peace reign here while he sorts out things.

Long Live Nairalanders!
Long Live Nairaland!!
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!

Regards,

riskit33: Ok OP after the 7-day-ultimatum and Seun does not yield what do you advise should be the next course of action? Because all these cannot be thrown away just like that.
You don't have to be scared comrade, we have a more powerful approach on ground but i pray Seun won't force us to that extent.

@Ogugua88, i understand your position on trying to bring an end to the issue at the start as you claimed but the issue were the MODS disrespectful and rude responses.

Justwise has greatly contributed to this website, you can check the travel section to confirm what i am saying but he needs to work on his manners of approach and addressing members here. He started responding this topic well not until he got infected by Sexkillz virus.

As for Sexkillz, we are all saying, time up on Nairaland!!!

Dear Nairalanders,

Our attention has been drawn to some posts that claim to report Nairaland to some hacking groups. We understand this could be due to some silly responses we have been getting earlier from some mods but we want to say it is never an option in this struggle.

Nairaland is our website and we can't afford to loose it, we so much cherish it and that is why we are all here requesting for the much needed changes. So please, we are not going or aiding such action to hack or report Nairaland to any hack group. Our struggle is directed at one direction which Mr Seun is fully aware of.

In the mean time, i salute our doggedness and tenacity displayed so far and i want to plead with us to sustain the tempo and keep telling the forum board our mind until they fully yield.

Please don't let us correct what is worse with a worst approach, remember we are working with a time frame 7-Day Ultimatum, so please let us sustain the tempo without any threat of hacking or whatsoever, Nairaland is our forum, we can't afford to destroy it! All we are saying is, we want a better Nairaland. Our requests should be met!

Scun: i don't know why this is even an issue. Check Seun's posts on his profile it is full of thousands of hidden posts, all in the name of covering his tracks. Why can't others do the same?
Thats not true, the hidden post on Seun's profile are those ones posted in sections not viewable by ordinary members perhaps the Moderation section.

@r231,

You have been warned earlier not to do anything that will aggravate the problem on ground. I believe as a mod, what you should be doing now is to look for every possible ways to help Seun overcome this by telling him to yield to our requests.

The earlier stated is so simple and clear, don't play smart by banning contributors here and you should unban those already banned. Be very careful you don't take this issue to another dimension you will regret later and i'm sure Seun won't be happy with you.

Thanks

@Fellow Nairalander, we can't afford to derail this thread at this stage that we are already making great progress.

A lots of MODs are already up with their other handles to derail and provoke us, so please, let us be wiser than them.

We have common requests to ceasefire.

Spartan3d: Apology or not, @Sexkillz doesnt deserve to be a mod at all, self control is zero, manners zero, leadership skills ~zero, wud ve asked for his total ban, but then he will simply create a new account, so he shud be stripped off his mod" title as he doesnt fit such a position... well as for justwise a front page apology will do.
PS: The main active comrades on this thread still ve thier accounts under ban!

Seun: Dear Nairalanders,

We really care about making you happy. We are looking into these complaints with all seriousness and trying to see what can be done.

Best Regards,
Seun Osewa.
Revolutionary Greetings Able Comrades,

Now we realize Seun has now sounded great to our requests against the dellusioned responses we have been getting from some unwise mods. I sense Mukina is a prime suspect to Seun's nice response...mama we hail you. So far, we also respect our own professional and responsible admin here too Afam4eva, baba you too gbaski!!

We are still saying Seun should move this topic to the front page so as to gather more views from other unaware Nairalanders. Also moving it to the front page will probably give us assurance to take you on your words(i am not the only one in this struggle, so i can't decide alone, a lots of able comrades are in here).

We also request that Sexskillz and Justwise be immediately stripped of their moderation duties because they have grossly violated our dear Nairaland rules and also intimidated and provoked a lot of Nairalanders to do same. They also have abused their mod powers by unnecessarily banning contributors of this peaceful threads due to intolerance and shame.

In same vein, we requests that all our able comrades in this struggle whose accounts have been banned at various sections of our Nairaland be restored and allowed to air their opinions without violating any of the Nairaland's rule.

All this aforementioned are the conditions for taking you by your quoted words above and also for peace on this thread and we promise to surprise you by making Nairaland more fun than you expect if you promptly answer us.

I call on our able comrades here to step up the steuggle until our requests are granted. No retreat; No surrender!!!

Personally, i don't need Sexkillz's apology, he should be banished from moderation here for life... Justwise can still tender a front page well stated apology letter because he was still less abusive...

But you guys are my oga at the top o, i no fit talk otherwise if you think they should be given a second chance...
