Hello all. I spoke with my account officer yesterday as regard Embassy verification or confirmation of Statement of Account submitted by applicants. He said they sometimes do send an email to the head office for confirmation only, not about the balance or source of funds, but rather to be sure the SOA isn't fake (where they used someone else's content on applicant's name). But in most cases, they don't do at all. He said a customer service representative once doctored a SOA when the UK embassy sent one to them for verification. The customer service representative, printed the figures of someone else and manipulated the name to show that of the applicant. Of course the bank staff was sacked immediately and Visa issuance denied |
sunene1:Startimes should act on it if they're aware or on Saturday, Startimes can retaliate too by showing Man City vs Liverpool. The two PayTVs are yet to clash since 2010 when Startimes started operating in Nigeria |
frankunizi:Hello. Is this under West Africa beam or East Africa? I'm guessing K24 is a Kenyan channel and not a core DSTV SA's owned channel |
tillaman:this IS SCARY |
olpsufinvhf:You bastards continue to register multiple accounts and post pornographic contents just to get traffic to your useless sites. May Satan punish you some day |
Amalahajames:Second question is, who forwarded the visa to you? If you can post the mail that forwarded that visit to you, then we can tell you of its fake or real, There are two ways INZ communicate. 1. Via non reply mail 2. Via your Realme Account. No one else can forward to you a visa |
crestking:Please thread cautiously with these agents https://www.nairaland.com/4001717/8-things-need-know-new/31#83745338 Someone was duped on that thread by an agent, who gave a fake Visa |
HIGHESTPOPORI:No, DSTV doesn't offer everything. They offer some, but not all |
ayobamizz:There are lots of FTA channels on Hotbird and others not free |
Threebear:Red oil? Palm Oil? Vegetable oil? Engine Oil? Brake oil? Gear oil? Crude oil? Which one will you recommend? |
TSHIRT2:I doubt it will come out on 3.2m. May 3.6 or 3.8m But for 4metre, you're certain. Even this my 4metre loses signal from 7:00am till 2:00pm on 9e |
TSHIRT2:You are right in terms of premium channels that none of the Paytvs in Nigeria currently offer. My neighbour was asking why such a big dish and what will I get that 90 cm PayTv can't offer? I said apart from the African movie channels, I have 42.5e for local stations and both 9e and 13e covers 100% foreign entertainment. My decoder is covered till October, 2020. if I divide ₦160,000/12 months= that's ₦13,000 per month for year 2019/2020, assuming I subscribed to a paytv From 2020/2021, it is ₦10,000 per annum (₦800 per month) on my big dish. |
ucheo:As at last night, my calculations was around ₦160,000 -₦170,000 Dish plus transportation ₦90,000(refurbished but not perfectly done) Pole ₦12,000 Jack ₦26,000 LNB ₦8000 Coxial cable ₦3000(This is original, looks like blue in colour and not the regular one) Miscellaneous ₦25,000(cement, sand, Aboki assisting, bolt and knots, buying one or two things) Lastly, there must be space cos that dish is a 'monster' If it's not your house, you must not do something that would make your Landlord increase house rent ![]() But ideally, things like this doesn't make sense if Nigeria is a good country. I can't imagine just because we want to watch premium content, spending almost ₦200k. That kind of money can be invested into other ventures or even given to the less privileged |
Amalahajames:How much did you pay? |
femijck:So e people will not die a peaceful death I swear. As soon as I saw 'agent' I knew it might be a scam |

Wow. I would rather stick with 9e then. As I said, the dish had an impact, placed on Mould, but despite that, it still has fractures and having 'amoeba' kind of contour Secondly, a stationed dish can't get same signal quality with a motorized dish. With motorized dish, we tend not to favour a particular satellite, but tried to align all Satellites along the East and West horizon. The dish is so heavy that the '36' heavy duty jack struggles to lift it up from 28.2° East But after checking the already downloaded 1000+ channels, 12245 and 11488 are there |

That's the content but the yellow Background is the challenge How did you get this? |
NIFES:Thanks |
timibare:I haven't completely checked Hotbird, as the position now is 9e. Later I can use the positioner to take the dish up and check |
She's pretty, why did she tone her skin? |
Jesse777:This means, it took over 1 year. Congratulations |
serendipityF:Nope Alausa is active There are 3 points in Lagos, which are Ikoyi, Festac and Alausa |
ab221:Installation complete. All Cosmote TV came out with good signal on 9e, except M7 from 12074V. That M7 is where I love to have cos of Bundesliga. Suspecting, the 4 meter dish I'm using. It's seems to have had a severe impact and not properly repaired. On Hotbird 13, over 1200 channels came out. Also, the kind of Decoder I'm using, drops signal a lot. I don't want to mention the name of that decoder. If it were to be strong decoder, maybe, it would have been better. Also, for you to do proper dish alignment, some signal quality would be lost, compared to stationery dish that's in one position. Motorized dish can never have perfect alignment. 12130, 12245, 12332, 12360 and 12437 are the ones that didn't show. |
ayobamizz:Lagos |
Cyberknight:Its a risk traveling abroad with any Nigerian Airline being operated by Nigerians. May God bless us, the last two African airlines I used are ET and SAA. But I'm done with anything Africa over safety concern. From 2017 to date, it's being Emirates. Although very expensive, but it makes a lot of sense. We returned from Auckland in September, instead of using SAA, we used Emirates' A380 which meant we spent the longest hours in the air in the world on Dubai to Auckland (17 hours) |
ayobamizz:The jack is to motorize the dish and 'jack' it from East to west The is the biggest Jack in Nigeria at 36*36 inches and can watch all satellites from 68.5° east to 68.5° west (180° turn) |
xule20:My son who's 1 year old, I paid N40,000 for his at Alausa. He applied on 22nd of October, passport came out on 25th of October |
helinues:That's naija for you |
We're using Stargold 2 way lnb
|
Installation in progress 36 inches Jack and 4 metre dish
|
jj17cv:Thanks bro Whatever the outcome, thank God no stamping of passport |
chakula:Are you okay? This is a private development |
