When real hostilities begin or any military operation is initiated, and a soldier faces an imminent threat to his life, he doesn't revert to a pocket-size manual on the rule of engagement (he doesn't call the Commander-in-Chief); his first instinct goes to his basic training: And that can mean anything, depending on individual soldiers.

Does a soldier face the risk of being tried in a military court, for violations of human rights? Yes, but guess who will judge him? A soldier (or soldiers) who had been in his shoes. With all the atrocities committed in Iraq, Israel, and Afghanistan, how many soldiers are in prison?

I just returned from Sydney, NSW Australia last night 10/9/2017.

Throughout my 8 days stay, all Fox Sport 1 and 2 were showing was rugby from morning till night. I was bored and had to switch to CNN, following the Hurricane story.

On Saturday, I went to the Sydney Olympic park. Saw cars parked with lot of people and the guys were playing rugby, with a huge crowd watching.

I asked my friend, if they know anything about football. She said no, cos they are rugby crazy. Let Australia be playing football world cup match and the Rugby team playing as well, they'll not watch football, but rugby.

Funny enough, the springbok (SA rugby team) traveled with us from South Africa to Perth in Australia, the captain openly expressed his bias by saying he wishes the Aussie team defeats the springbok. Everyone just laughed.

In summary, counties when channels are broadcasting from matters, in terms of sporting programs preferences.

Try to stick with the food your system is used to. Reasons are you will save your self health and money.
Western food should be eaten as a treat. There are heaps of Asian cum African shops in Sydney and Newie.
All you need is a large deep freezer, microwave (gas/electric stove) and few food containers.
Cook your food in a large pot, plate your meal portion into those containers and store them in the freezer. Then use when necessary.
You really don't need those tips if your are sponsored or earn above $2k weekly after tax.
I assure you you do need them if you are paying your tuition fees and may be looking after family back home.

There are over 5000 restaurants in Sydney, you shouldn't be looking for good food. Define good food...and your budget/location then I can give suggestions.

This is a very big city and it's spread out. It's difficult to meet Nigerians unless you make plans to meetup with someone. There's no Nigerian community.

Conference has been very very fruitful and interesting. From morning till late evening. Issue is, any other mill apart from Nigerian delicacies doesn't flow in my system.

I'm staying in a self serviced apartment with cooker, pots, etc practically everything, but to cook na wahala.

I'm staying not far from Kent street, NSW 2000. I had to go to wynyard station to get food .

Not budget cos I don't really care, but I need Nigerian meals.
