Failure to use the hand brake, puts so much pressure on the gear, especially on sloppy ground.

I correct my drivers most times that the gear is not the hand brake. The hand brake is to prevent the car from moving forward or backwards in a spot. i.e when you're not moving the car or you're on same spot or about to park the car, the work of the hand brake is to make the car remain in that position and not move. Many olodos use gear 1 on manual transmission cars.

Just make sure your hand brake is good
