Nestoil took facility (loan) From Gtbank in excess of 2 billion naira to fund this project.

Until the loan is fully offset, this building by Law belongs to Gtbank. That's how Legal mortgages work in Nigeria and any part of the world.

How will Gtbank make their money? The floors are going to be rented out, and as soon as rents are paid, Gtbank collects principal and interest. If Netsoil can't pay back, the matter gets to Amcon. AMCON is the bail out bank grin

Nice but the rent they're asking for may not really be sustainable cos of the recession.

Just like Heritage place on Alfred Rewane, lots of vacant floor spaces to let. Rent per Sam could be as high as $900.
$900*375 * floor space.

231m2 to 810m2

It means you'll be spending between 30-50m per annum to rent office space in Nestoil building. This is no longer sustainable

Whilst it is necessary to have a special funds for roads projects, its also necessary to note issues as

1) Corruption: that endemic corruptive nature of Nigerians. Who manages the funds? How can we ensure its judiciously used?
2) Why can't the Senate urge the CBN to reduce the exchange rate for fuel importers, thereby that 5 naira would not be noticed by Nigerians?. Here it is. Fuel importers get Dollars at 305 naira. CBN can reduce the exchange rate for fuel importers by N5 hence the price drops to 140, whilst the 5naira on top goes for the road

Note that Ambode that is fixes all the roads in Lagos State and touching every councils isn't doing so by performing magic.

Every month, he deducts 70% from the federal allocations to each of the 20LGA. Many people wouldn't know this

The policemen stationed at strategic locations in Lagos gets supported via the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. Many people contribute to these funds, whilst its used to service the policemen on special duties.

We can't fix all roads, without special funds

In wake of the call by Ipob and Massob, I advise that all genuine igbos, irrespective of where they reside, should comply with the sit at home order.

This means that

1) All Diamond Bank branches should be shut for today (especially in Lagos Abia, Anambra and Imo States)
2) All Fidelity Bank branches must be shut for Today
3) All UBA Bank branches must be shut for Today

Also all Igbos working in Corporate Organizations like Banks, IOCs Conglomerates, Industries etc must not go to work today
Also all businesses owned by Igbos should also be shut for today.

Alaba Int mkt, Tradefair complex Aspamda etc

Also Nairaland, Facebook, Yahoo, Twitter etc must also shut down today to support the Igbos

Anything short from the foregoing, will amount to hypocrisy.
