I dey go UK to have fun with my family |
ndidibabe:Direct flight means there's no stopover. The headline here is misleading. What it should read is connecting ANA to LGW Via LOS. Direct flight means LOS to LGW/LHR as BA, Virgin and Air Peace does from Lagos, as the only 3 airlines in the entire Nigeria that takes you directly from Nigeria to UK. All other airlines make a stopover. A stopover is different from a direct flight, as claimed in the headline |
AyakaDunukofia:They'll still pass immigration in Lagos for proper check. ANA to Lagos is a local flight and not international flight, more so, they're using different aircrafts Boeing 777 for LOS to LGW. It's same as flying from any other state to Lagos and then boarding Air Peace from Lagos to LGW. This doesn't qualify as 'direct' flight |
Shokoloko:There are many things that needs to be in place before Airport can be certified for Direct International flights takeoff 🛫. Kano PH Enugu Lagos Are the only 4 Airports for now that ET and Turkish Airline do take off from directly out of the country |
Slimp1234:Na wa. If you want Schengen Visa from Nigeria, use France route others are time wasters |
Investorvibess:No one can know with certainty. I did Biometrics on 8th November. On 12th November, UKVI mailed me that they have received the application and will now start working on it. I got Passport collection mail on 27th November. I didn't count from 8th November day of Biometrics. Between 12th to 26th (27th was collection mail, meaning they may have sent to TLS on 26th November) is about 11 working days |
But he tried sa. Those of you that are not young in 2011 during the Arab Spring, would realise that he was the only person that survived Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen all lost their leaders |
Nairae:Comments from those that have gone that route, they complained that the banks charged way above the black market rate. Best option, open a Dom account with any of the banks, fund the card yourself and pay |
Nickipinky:I can understand how and why you feel so strongly about your point. You're the one that knows how the shoes pinches. I have been here once in 2017 with Australia. All I did was to reapply after I noticed the Visa officer did not pay attention to the previous visit to a similar country. I reapplied after 3 days and the same officer granted the visa 30 days after. Aside the account Glitch by GTB, please pay attention to other factors mentioned in the letter. Remember, you were first refused. Did you correct in this application the reason for refusal? That is why your attention is being pointed to other matters. For instance, you mentioned previous travels to Morocco & Uganda. These are not A list countries. Nigeria's economy is larger than that of Morocco and Uganda. Let me quote an excerpt from UKVI application form How many times have you visited the following places in the past 10 years?Any country outside the above are second grade to UKVI including Turkey, China, Russia, Iraq, South Africa, UAE, Qatar, Singapore etc I would suggest you try Schengen and if you package you documents well, you will get France approval. They are the easiest to get among the European Economic Area. With a good statement and previous travels to Morocco and Uganda, France would grant you a visa. If thereafter reapply for UK having visited one country in the European Economic Area, you may be granted Good luck |
Nickipinky:This bank statement as it appears here will make anyone doubt. Opening balance was about ₦500k Closing balance ₦6million. Let's ignore the glitch from GTB about the ₦64m and ₦58m ₦6m minus ₦500k = ₦5,500,000 In 6 months, you're able to do an inflow of ₦5,500,000 in the same account. This is how the ECO will think taking the account statement literally, that you just made up these ₦5.5m just to get the visa. Try and understand my point. This account statement whether glitch or not is responsible for this decision, as no other thing was emphasized on that you did wrongly, except the account |
Nickipinky:Now let's address something. You said you're self employed. Self employed means you own the company or a senior director, meaning you're not on salary. As self employed, you earn ₦620,000 monthly Then aside this income of ₦620,000 monthly, you also earn ₦10,200,000 annually. Do you have two businesses or despite being self employed, you still have another paid employment? This part is confusing and I am confused as well, making me to ask for clarification. Remember, you're going to be biased in your own case as the applicant, while those of us at the other side are judges trying to see what you did wrong that made you get a second refusal. If the refusal reasons are not addressed, then you may not be granted at the 3rd attempt at UK. Yes, you may have travelled to A list countries before, but UK specifically considers EU member states (especially Schengen Zones and Switzerland), USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia as A list countries, that is why you'll see in the same application form, they classified the above countries separately and the rest of others that Includes UAE, Turkey, KSA, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc as possibly B list countries |
Nickipinky:Apologies if I was wrong, but my response is based on the ECO's letter. The ECO made it appear as if you submitted just one account, as emphasis was on the ₦64m and ₦58m |
frankson1:Why did they pull out? Do you resign from a profitable business? Why did UK leave the EU? |
Nickipinky:How many accounts do you have and how many did you submit? |
Nickipinky:I have read the refusal letter and I'll say this to you and others that have companies, stating they're self employed. 1. If you say you pay yourself ₦600,000 monthly, you must first show that the amount actually enters your account monthly 2. Your company account you transfer from must be made available and the income or source of the funds in that account must be stated. If you have a balance of ₦10m in your company account and in the last 6 months no other inflow or sufficient inflow comes into that company account, then the ECO would doubt it that company is doing well to be able to pay you ₦600,000 3. You stated you have have savings, did you provide the savings account or you just stated it in your VAF or in the letter? 4. You also said you have another annual income of ₦10,200,000. Which business do you do that gave you this ₦10m? Did you also provide a bank statement to show this ₦10m For you and others reading, you don't just throw figures at UK ECO. They're super smart and would know if you're not saying the truth about your financial circumstances. You've already been refused before and the ECO referred to it, by saying He/she read the reason for refusal and still claimed he/she treated this application on it merits. That's a lie, they have that bias as soon as they see you've been previously refused and would look for a way to refuse again. In my case, I stated, I was self employed I paid myself monthly salary. The bank statement I attached shows the inflow of the salary and outflow of the monthly expenses. They tally 100%. The company account they the money goes out from, the bank statement was attached and for the entire 6 months, the salary left the account every month, while inflows from businesses the company conducts were also seen. This means if I claim to earn ₦10million a year as individual, then my company should be making 2 or 3 times more than my total annual salary for that company to be able to pay me ₦10million a year, pay taxes, and meet other financial obligations. You can't just submit a company statement with say ₦16million balance and still claim it's from that ₦16m you pay yourself ₦10m per annum. Nope. Even I would doubt that the company is actually doing well enough to be able to pay you that much. The ECO stated this clearly. It's just just submitting bank statements with good balance and stating that you're only spending about 20% of the balance on the trip will convince the ECO to grant you leave of entry. People need to do better So, upon reading the refusal letter, the ECO is 100% spot on by this decision. Paragraph 1: ECO says he/she needs to be convinced that you're doing well in Nigeria (a country where it's economy is doing badly and people begging to survive) so you'll not enter the UK and shout free at last and not want to return back to Nigeria Paragraph 2: ECO says he/she is aware that you're refused before and craftly stated that the refusal was noted (This is a deep message). The ECO now claiming in the same paragraph that this application is treated separately is just a lie. Paragraph 3: you stated you earn ₦620,000 monthly from a company as self employed and again from another employment you still earn ₦10,000,000 a year separate from the ₦620,000 a month and from all these earnings, you only spend ₦120,000. Naaaaa. No one will believe this. The disparity is much Paragraph 5: ECO then say for you that earn ₦10,200,000 how much does this your company make annually to be able to even afford to pay you that much? Paragraph 6: You earn ₦10million a year and bank statement is showing in flow of 68million and out flow of ₦58million for someone tha earns ₦10m. Where did you see the ₦64million? Paragraph 7: Your bank statement shows you spent ₦58million, but same you claimed to spend only ₦120,000 monthly. If I was the ECO, I wouldn't grant the visa over this disparities. Just forget UK for now and try France or Italy. Those two would not start asking you if you go to toilet or not and if you watch movies or not. UK would question everything. So to anyone that wants to apply, please learn from this and your package has to be very tight. |
Nickipinky:Before reading your letter to address your refusal reason, firstly, the bank statement is for 6 months and not from the year you opened the account. It's clearly stated in the image you shared, except if GTB has a glitch |
blowjohn:My chicken Suya is about ₦5000. I wonder when these guys come online to exaggerate. |
TimeManager:In what areas specifically have they benefitted? It's good to share those benefits if it's worth or matches our contribution. The article says ₦85b and $54m I'm going to the UK in few days and if you click on my handle to review my previous post you can have an idea of who you're exchanging with. The trip is costing me excess of ₦11million, cos I'm not flying Air Peace, but a better Airline that's more expensive than Air Peace. For spending that much on just ticket, what I'm getting in return for that investment is worth thousands of Pounds £1 (₦2170) So tell us what Nigeria has benefited from ECOWAS that equals our contribution or surpass it, so 'I can kiss the truth' |
Purpleivy:You've nothing significant to submit, as they're dependent., aside from birth certificate, evidence of paying school fees or letter from educational institution, their passports. Parents are the ones to submit cover letters and financial statement |
Tayorshd87:Ode. If you have half of what's in my brain, you'll thank God Part of who distinguishes us is your lack of decorum. You can't have a civil conversation without insulting. That's shows you're dull. Simple question. What's the significance of the payment? Response, insult. Some of the people dimwits like you insult can actually feed your entire family for a lifetime |
TimeManager:What's the significance of ECOWAS to Nigeria's economy in the last 10 years? |
SatoshiX:What's progressive in Nigeria that's suffering and needs dollars as much as possible, then donating that same dollars to an ineffective organisation? If it's NATO, it's understandable since they need to buy weapons to secure their territories. So what's the significance of this to Nigeria? Pathetic |
TimeManager:Same Organisation that some countries just pulled out from? |
Jamieabi:Google it. If you're traveling to UK with Air Maroc, spending ₦20,000 for the night will not be bad |
debby106:My question to most people that've gotten one or two refusals from UK, as it pertains to financials, can't you try other European countries? It doesn't have to be UK alone. France and Italy does not read your statement line by line as UK does. France would not do this when it concerns a student that doesn't work |
TimeManager:What's the significance of this payment? |
2bats the significance of ECOWAS? |
Chelseaboy101:This is a bit strange. Now if you flew with Brussels Airlines, except your destination is Belgium, ideally you're supposed to just stop over, except if they took you to France via local airport. Hence, you faced immigration in Brussels, since both are Schengen Zones. I experienced this in Australia. We left Joburg and landed in Perth. At the Perth Airport, we faced immigration, stamped in but luggage was not released. We're then taken by Virgin Australia to our final destination, which is Sydney in same Australia. When we're returning to Nigeria, we faced immigration to exit this time from Sydney, entered Perth without facing immigration again. Most likely, ensure you exit from Paris, stopover in Brussels without facing Immigration again, then you return back to Rwanda. But it's good for you to show you actually entered two Schengen Zones |
debby106:I'm guessing you mean if you transferred the money out of your account or same was debited from your account. Let's assume you have ₦10m balance yesterday and today you instructed the same bank to fix ₦5m for 90 days, the debit narration would read fixed deposit or investment. If you moved the money to the investment house from another bank that you're not submitting the statement, it still doesn't matter, provided the certificate is in your name and the tenor is stated. I used a different personal account statement and the bank I submitted the fixed deposit certificate from is different. Tenor was 90 days and the terminal date was about a week to date of application submission |
davodyguy:This is the crazy rate being charged by wicked VFS This is 2 times more than TLS |
We celebrate Bullshts in Nigeria. What's the significance of this now? |
Abbebbay:Did he check out? If you select date and didn't checkout, nothing will happen |
