My travel purpose is tourism at the same time I would like to dedicate a day to fly to another Schengen country to source for suppliers for my business (not buying any product, just sourcing suppliers for future business transactions) Can I mention this in the itinerary and cover letter? Is it safe to mention that? I am confused if they might deem the purpose of my visit as business and not tourism.

Website just stated evidence of finance, without specifying number of months. You're right with Schengen that's very specific.

No, I meant through other embassies, like the French embassy, German embassy here in Nigeria.

I had intention of doing Malta, but that has to be done via Italian Embassy in Nigeria.

It's best to just get France or Italy, then use that opportunity to visit Malta.

Just that their visa stamp would not be obtained, since you're visiting via another Schengen visa.

If it possible, one can get
Portugal, Netherlands, Germany Belgium, Italy, France and Spain visa stamps on your passport by respectively applying via their embassies, but the refusal rate will discourage one from this. Hence, people are stuck with France and Italy.

No. It has been incredibly frustrating and after this, I swear I am never ever applying to Italy again. I pray I never have any reason to go to Italy for anything ever again for the rest of my life. And if I do, I'd just rather apply to France (the French are not as sluggish as the Italians) or better still, just buy a second passport that does not require me to apply for visas from these Schengen countries.

If you look at the form, there's a place that you must fill the total cost of the trip and another part you're to fill the percentage you're personally contributing.

Yes, all the cost, except the one that would be covered by your UK sponsor.

As I said, you can't expect anyone else to buy your ticket, as you're an adult

Accomodation
Feeding
Entertainment/shopping/transportation

All will give you what you're budgeting.

This is very possible, except if you can't see that part that says cancel application.

You can click on Cancel application and it will take you to the page where you can apply.

How much would you advise someone earning about 882,000 Naira per month who receives additional allowances/financial benefits of least 1 million Naira per annum to budget for a one-week trip to London? Disposable income is between 350,000 and 500,000 Naira per month. I'm reluctant to budget 1,000 pounds because this will exceed 2 times my disposable income when converted to pounds (based on the messed up exchange rate), which is a highly common reason for UK visa refusals these days (as seen on this Nairaland forum). Hence, I'm considering budgeting somewhere between 500 and 600 pounds for a week (excluding accommodation covered by my host and airfare), then mentioning in the 'Additional Information' section of the application that 'the 500-600 pounds budget excludes accommodation which will be covered by my host and excludes flight costs as well, which will be covered separately using my USD savings, if my visa is granted.' Please note that I have $7k+ in savings and have been issued a UK student visa twice within the last ten years (once in 2016 and another in 2017), so I really hope my prior student visas will strengthen my application.

Seeing that you have UK history, I can tell you authoritatively that you'll be granted, except you mess up the application.

Aside accomodation and feeding, your host should not be paying for your ticket.

Minimum return ticket cost is between ₦1.4m to ₦2million

Then for entertainment, shopping transportation, budget £500 to £1000

State that your host will cater for accommodation and feeding.

I believe people can pay money on people's behalf.

We sometimes receive alert from unknown account and the sender can later share transfer receipt. Hence, ordinarily, this shouldn't be an issue provided you have the debit alert via mail or you can download receipt to tender as evidence.

Imagine you using someone else's debit card to pay for visa fee, will UKVI care that the card details is for Cashmadam, while applicant is Seun Osewa.

If you read my response and being mindful of what I highlighted in your post regularisation, you would have seen that's what I addressed.

There's nothing to be regularised here, that's why I stated below, and beyond just your post but for anyone else that could be anxious pertaining to if the switch from one VAC could affect outcome, timelines or collection.

What I addressed is more on calming to those who my be worried

TLS will close down completely on 19th December, after which documents would be formally transferred to VFS. Until then, those that submitted via TLS, would still get contacted by TLS up till 18th December 2024 to come pick up their passports.

If you didn't receive a decision by Midnight 18th December, 2024 you'll be contacted by VFS from 19th via mail


Let's say you did biometrics with TLS in November, 2024 you'll still be contacted by TLS till 18th December, 2024. But if you don't pick up from them, they'll send your passport to VFS office in the same Ikeja, VI or Abuja where VFS operates from

The above transcend your post without ambiguities, which I expected you to have read and understood, to include other queries that may come to the mind of applicants.

Around 20th November, had similar questions if there could be mix up, until I read clearly how seamless the transition was between the two VACs and how it would not impact applications already submitted

Their appointment is for tomorrow but 2 people are for 9am and 1 person is for 2pm

Unfortunately he’ll be traveling from another state to arrive in Abuja tomorrow.

Will they all be allowed to enter the visa center if they show up at 2pm ?

If you said he's trying to enter with his wife and son at same time despite having same time, I'll say that's very possible, as I did this exactly with TLS.

Our time slots were for same day, but we different times on that day, but managed to enter together, using the earliest time of obe the applicants.

As regard later time, he would be allowed due to his afternoon time, except he finds luck.

This is VFS now, not TLS. I don't know how nice they are or otherwise
