IGIG: Hello everyone,
I applied for a Standard Visitor Visa, but it was denied. Unfortunately, I lost contact with the person who helped me with the application, and I don't have a copy of the submission.
Now, I've received a job offer with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and other documents. My start date is approaching, and I need to apply for a new visa.
Should I:
1. Try to obtain a copy of my previous application from the UKVI? 2. Make a fresh application for a Skilled Worker visa (or relevant category)?
Will my previous denial affect my new application? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
*Additional details:*
- Previous Standard Visitor Visa application was denied - No copy of previous application available - New job offer with CoS and other documents - Urgent start date approaching Utmost disclosure helps because in the same form, you'll be asked if you've been denied visa before and Yiu have to say yes So irrespective of you applying for Skilled visa now and visitor before, you must tell them you're denied visa. Where's the refusal letter? Since you're going for a job, you shouldn't be applying for visitor visa or are you going as a visitor or to work? |

Enenche isbobe of the many pastor's I rate so low. Sane man was calling the pastor from Akwa Ibom criticizing them a mad man. Why didn't the man arrest him?

It's too late to travel on Monday.
You don't have direct interface with Embassy.
Also your passport would go through VFS and this alone would take days.
So send an email to Airline that Yiu may not be able to travel dues to passport. Let's see if you can either cancel of pay for no show.
But learn a lesson. Give 30 days minimum to apply for any visa, whether ATV or regular visa |

tpain121: that’s the practice with TLS. They just want to fleece applicants.
When it was handled by VSF, I used an old pics I had taken more than 6 months before and didn’t have issues.
Had to take another picture at the VSF center when I applied for Italian visa.
Almost all the applicants I met there had to retake their passport pictures. They're not different VFS does same thing as TLS VFS at Manor house in LEKKI did same TLS now handling are doing same. The photographers are working with them in syncing |

Jolene474: Thank you Jesus Christ.
I just went to pick up my passport, I got a collection mail this morning and I got a Visa sticker in my passport. After 4 refusal in 2016 as an 18 year old and two refusal in December 2024.
I wasn’t expecting this visa anymore..because of all the back and forth I had sending letter to home office and dragging with them. I’m so happy. I was asked to reapply by the Entry Clearance Manager because of the error they made in the first application, but I was told I must meet with the requirements or I’ll be refused and I went for biometric Dec 19. Fortunately, I guess I got this one. My proposed date has even passed hahahaha.
Thank you Lord. Which Church do you attend? |

Lheman: Good morning house, please I applied for a UK visit transit visa . I did my biometrics since Tuesday, Jan 14th, 2024. I am travelling to Poland. I wasn’t informed that I will be needing a transit visa until few days before departure. This is my first time passing through London. I have a 3 hrs layover at London(Gatwick) airport . I had already paid for the flight scheduled for Monday, Jan 20th, 2024. I hold a valid Schengen visa. I am yet to receive a response from UKVI. Even though they can’t issue a decision early, I would like to obtain my passport from them as early as possible. Please what can I do They don't work on weekends. Too late But we're in 2025, not 2024 |

Konquest: My goodness! December 2025 for a medical emergency? That's a dysfunctional NHS system. I'll have to make this a talking point this weekend with my younger brother who lives in England with his fam.
I wish your relative a quick recovery... But read on till the end to gain some further insights
To be honest, with advancements in the field of medicine right now in the area of stem cell therapy or regenerative medicine and more, people simply have to find ways of getting first, second, and third opinions in the medical field in treating themselves and close relatives. The famous American public speaker and writer Anthony Robins (who stands tall at 6 foot 7) talked about a very painful medical condition that occured when he had a very bad fall while skiing in Europe. The shoulder pain was very severe for weeks whenever he tried to move his arms, so, he met different American doctors who said he had to go for a major surgery which would have led to him being off the international public-speaking circuit for over 6 months while taking a bed rest from the surgery.
Fortunately, Anthony came across another doctor and scientist who said Anthony didn't require ANY major disruptive surgery. He was recommended to visit the "Panama Stem Cell Institute" in Panama where he got placental stem cells injected into the extremely painful shoulder and within just 2 days, the pain had stopped! Even the lower back pain that Anthony Robins had earlier for over 10 years also miraculously disappeared within those 2 days and NEVER returned. A visit to his cardio specialist also showed he was performing more optimally and he was estimated to be 10 years younger than his age. I intuitively sensed that sense of medical urgency in your post and this is why I'm sharing these profound medical insights with you. The use of placental stem cells for treatments of ailments such as cancer, neurological disorders, extreme pains, and more is already redefining modern, cutting-edge medicine. All these and more are contained in Anthony's massive book of over 800 pages entitled "Life Force" which I have read, but haven't finished yet. The first 100 pages of Anthony's book where fantastic to read.
As I type this, MOST orthodox medical professionals worldwide are NOT fully trained or aware about current trends in medicine so they have to be retrained. This is why when you go from one doctor to another, they give different opinions and results. So, it's important that you do your due diligence by getting first, second, and third opinions from medical experts.
Enjoy your day.
Ciao. I met a Doctor in Lagos last year, who told me he has been living with a tumor in his brain. He's almost removing it when another senior surgeon warned against it. He said 20 years after, he's still alive with same tumor well managed. I agree on second opinion |

Konquest: Didn't you detect "sarcasm" in the post that you quoted?
@Budaatum was just being "sarcastic" by using anecdotes.
An average of £600 for standard MRI is really high in those private UK hospitals though. People would begin to look elsewhere if they can get it cheaper. I'm flying a relative out of UK to get medical attention elsewhere, as NHS are still wasting time. It's an emergency and they gave us December, 2025 date. This is crazy |

Demmybim: I get it now. I've really learnt alot from y'all input. God bless you all. I told you same thing that irrespective of the financial instruments, the balance in your account should be minimum 2* the budget of the trip. There's no way you'll not spend ₦1.5+₦1.5+₦1m on the trip. Let's be frank. I just returned and despite not paying for accommodation and partly feeding, for a family of 3 it was well above ₦10m. If accomodation was included may be ₦15m in 14 days. Traveling is not cheap at all. For 10days, you need $50 a night budget hotel, that's $500*₦1670 Feeding too about £30*10days *₦2000 Ticket ₦1.3m You'll transport yourself from Airport to Hotel and back to Airport, budget £100 for this, as cabs are expensive to airport. Local transportation as well. You need ₦4m even with managing cost Yiu should have more than than as financial instrument, which you can state you you cover letter and also about ₦8m in your account. If you want to borrow money, this January, you should have about ₦5m as opening balance Add January salary of ₦1.1, take 30% out as expenses, you'll have ₦5.7m End of February you'll have ₦6.4 End of March ₦7.1 End of April ₦7.8 End of June ₦8.5 Apply in July or August with your account nearing ₦9m balance And your financial instrument about ₦8m as well |

budaatum: We can rejoice. The UK health system is now so bad that there's no reason for our rich and politicians to bother stealing our foreign currency to go buy health there.
All we need now is a thread claiming the UK universities kill students, and Nigerians wouldn't be coming to buy university neither and will buy made in Nigeria instead. Say only what you know. This is government Hospitals, like our general hospitals. Private hospitals are not like this but super super expensive. Imagine paying £600 for MRI, whereas in Nigeria it's cheaper at private diagnostic centres. |

Milito: There's not much difference for now. The regular lounge moves quite fast. I even completed my appoinment ahead of a buddy who used premium. Both of us were asked to make new portrait photos though. And the premium lounge users had to queue with the rest of us at the photo booth.
The France photo requirement is quite high. It's better one should just snap the picture with them over there at TLS. It's well priced. Someone gave me this advice, but I still decided to go to a studio to snap, thinking it will be cheaper and standard enough, the reverse is the case 😃 I remember telling you this. Experience coming from someone that between 2014 to 2024 had travelled to 11 countries (not Ghana, South Africa or Rwanda) A list countries like UK, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Japan, Hongkong and the likes. They will reject your image no matter how much you try, appears like a racketeering |
