ofcourse, it may take sometime for regularization, however it is not an issue as your emails are very much active for notifications viz-viz the transitioning
Nope.

Application centres are not proxy to consulate Hence, there's no regularisation needed on submitted applications. As regards his/her question, processing time has nothing to do with any of the VAC and the ongoing transfer.

TLS will close down completely on 19th December, after which documents would be formally transferred to VFS. Until then, those that submitted via TLS, would still get contacted by TLS up till 18th December 2024 to come pick up their passports.

If you didn't receive a decision by Midnight 18th December, 2024 you'll be contacted by VFS from 19th via mail

Makaegbobi:
Okay, thank you. I know that they don't have influence on the decision process but I noticed that visa decision news has been a little scarce since the switch. I was wondering if the transition is causing delays with receiving a visa decision.
Let's say you did biometrics with TLS in November, 2024 you'll still be contacted by TLS till 18th December, 2024. But if you don't pick up from them, they'll send your passport to VFS office in the same Ikeja, VI or Abuja where VFS operates from

Seeking assistance with a GTB Dollar card issue. My friend recently used their GTB Dollar card to pay for a UK application fee in Pounds and noticed a significant disparity in the conversion rate, with an excess of over $40. Can anyone shed some light on the potential hidden charges or fees associated with this transaction?
Some banks do this a lot, when you're using a card denominated in a different currency to pay for a service in another currency.

Zenith showed me pepper in Rome, while I withdraw €100 from ATM and was charged more after conversion.

Sterling bank is another bank that does this.

As I'm going to the UK now, I'll rather do exchange with Aboki with my cash in hand, than use my $ in London

Bro, you can't eat your cake and have it. If you want a better service, you'll have to pay more for it.
Better service inside an old school B777, that may reviewers on YouTube talk about? 😂

People being unable to charge phones, no WiFi or live TV? 😂

Emirates is charging ₦11million, I'll rather use Emirates, Air France, KLM, Turkish Airline or Ethiopian Airline, than that aircraft.

All the above Airlines use better planes and better services than Air Peace.

Quote me anytime and bring your evidence.

Thank you, but I’m not the one who travelled to Rwanda.
I’ve to 5 countries and I don’t think that is even an issue, my point is the reasons the officer gave for the refusal is strange to me as non of those information was in my application. I’m confident they mistook by application for another person because I’ve gone to check all my submitted documents and VAF and none related to what the ECO described on the refusal note.
I didn’t loan anybody money, I didn’t miss write my monthly salary as allege on the refusal note.
We've already told you what to do.

Highlight all the errors and mail them.

Itemize paragraph by paragraph.

If you can do this we'll, you'll be granted.

Read the above post. They can overturn erroneous decisions with you reapplying.

Just follow and advise and stop emphasizing what you've already explained here and we all now understand that there's a mix up.

The person that you should address now ASAP is the UKVI clearly written mail/letter

I mean they refused me 5 times before, so on the 5th refusal I send them long mail with explanations which they said I have no right of appeal but I escalate it and subsequently they sent a mail that the refusal is overturned, so my passport is with the embassy now for the visa.

They told you to submit your passport and still refused you?
Now I get.

You'll surely be granted.

There's a woman here that has similar refusal based on erroneous perception by the ECO

Yeh. I understand you. That's why I want to wait for up to 8months to build consistent income. I'll say I'm in a salaried employment this time.
My question is: will it be a problem if I claim I'm in a salaried employment now. Meanwhile in my previous application I said I was self employed.?
What did you state in your current application that was refused?

You have to be consistent

This visa officers just doing any how , is like they don’t even read the application properly they will just give refusal, they do that to me last 3 weeks , I sent a paid mail with very long explanation, they refly I have no right of appeal but if am not satisfied I can escalate it, I escalate it and after like some 2 weeks they sent a mail to me to submit my passport that the decision has been overturned and my visa is approved, so I submitted my passport with the mail yesterday, I was refused 5 times including it now, so am fedup and send a very long mail.

The documents and information you have submitted in support of your application
indicate significant differences between actual income and the income stated on your
VAF, and due to the discrepancies, I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated
your financial circumstances to be as stated. Based on the documents submitted and
information available I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated your personal
and financial circumstances are as stated.”[/color]
Another blunder the ECO made was this, my monthly salary after tax is N742,356.85 and this was the same amount I entered on the VAF, how then did they come to this conclusion that there are discrepancies, I even attached my pay slip.
I think they got so many jobs that they just messed up everything, cuz I know what I wrote on the VAF and it corresponds with my salary to my bank.
They told you to submit your passport and still refused you?

Thank you very much.
What if Im able to show proof of being in a salaried employment. Then build up my account for about 6 to 8 months(with consistent salary coming in) before re applying . Will they consider the fact that I said I owned a business previously and reject the application?
Also, how much will be a good monthly salary please.
I stated that balances in accounts is a factor. The ECOs mostly use the word 'your personal financial circumstances'

Look at the picture you posted well. Those other flights are longer, indicating they are not direct flights.

That of air peace is a direct flight and such price is expected. Check the time span from departure to arrival. Others are 9hrs + . Airpeace is 6hrs +

Please let us always try to read things through before making decisions. It's very important.

Nigeria is already too divided. Let's not make comments that will further break us

I used Air Peace in October for my trip to London and their Aircraft is damn old. No inflight entertainment. Can't charge my phone. Their food was good though. I only used them because it's direct and Gatwick is not far from where I live in London. There's a lot that they need to do if they plan to ply the international route on the long haul.
They are using a very old Boeing 777 which is fairly used by an airline in Asia for about 15 years before selling to Air Peace. That Boeing is very old

If it's just one point that is correct, you can reapply and state that in a letter that the issues used in determining your refusal may have been mixed up.

But fix the only part that you said the ECO is correct.

This December for detty well, unfortunately this happened.

I had a refusal for Australia in year 2017 which the ECO got wrongly. I reapplied and it was case officer that handled it, but corrected himself afterwards by granting the visa

Arik Air was the most expensive.

Try be patriotic and nationalistic for once. By patronizing our own, you are encouraging them to improve and do better. Volume is what slashes price. They already met the international standard, let's encourage them with the volume.
Lol.

Let's be patriotic ABI?

Dangote dey sell PMS for ₦970 and that making inflation high and you see Total (French company) selling at ₦800.

Should I still buy from Dangote of Total?

Good evening everyone, I was just refused a visit visa.
But I’m not quite sure I’m the one the officer is addressing on the refusing note.
Yes, I was to visit the UK for 7 days on tourism.
They said I loaned person money, I never loaned anyone money and I didn’t say anything like that on my application. All the funds on my bank account belongs to me and I don’t understand the terminology.
They said there’s a difference between my actual income and income stated on my VAF, this is not true, I don’t think they were addressing my file.
They said I stated none of my family dependents are in my home country, I do not understand this sentence as I clearly stated I have family here and I live with them, I don’t really know if they were really reading my documents or someone else maybe. Buts it’s okay, but I just feel this is opposite of the information I put on my online form.
Sis,

Take time to read the refusal again.

It's 100% your fault, not the case officer.

Except if the officer didn't say the truth as per what you posted in your form
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 7:43pm On Dec 03, 2024
giselle237:
It’s clear that the visa you mentioned is a child dependent visa, which is a temporary migrant visa, distinct from a visitor visa, which is the main focus of this thread. I’m unsure why you’re going back and forth about your situation. You’ve already been advised on the steps for a 'child dependent visa' under the student, skilled worker, or global talent categories.

Please note that ECOs are strict; prepare your documents carefully. The child's biological father cannot be mentioned on the form or be involved in the child's life, especially since you claim to have sole custody from the courts. If there's any indication that the other parent is present, it will be assumed that the child can stay in Nigeria with them, as there would be no compelling reason for the visa.
Good luck!
Just to add to the final paragraph.

The fact that the child is even living in Nigeria, while he's abroad shows the child can survive without him being there physically.

So, he needs to convince more

Good day, second time applying

I applied with proof of work, offer letter, consent letter from my husband, pension statement all to prove ties to Nigeria.

The application was for I and my child.

The refusal makes no sense to me.

I also stated I've travelled to Rwanda In the application
Let me try to respond.

Some of these case officers can be mean to Nigerians and that in your case

1. Ties to return to: They believe it's a ploy for you and you kid to Japa, while your husband would stay in Nigeria, hoping to join you later
2. The officer erred by claiming that you had to International travel, as Rwanda is not in Ibadan or Sapele. It's another country
3. Officer now said a country similar to that if UK. Here's the point. The European countries (EU) Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand are countries with similar immigration rules with that if the UK, not Rwanda
4. Officer said you don't have landed property
5. Your sister abroad, how financially stable is she?
6. Also your financial circumstances in Nigeria may not be strong. Eg you having balance of say in excess of ₦10million, meaning that you have a very good paying job that would compel you to return to
7. Depending, your husband's financial status could also have helped, let's say he also does or owns a business that super lucrative.

Financial circumstances played major role here and also lack of property ownership.

These days, they need some super concrete evidence that you can give, to show you'll come back.

Will someone working for Shell, Chevron, NNPC, CBN really want to Japa? I know a guy that works for Mobil and he earns ₦3.5m monthly.

Such brand can convince them that you'll surely return.

Emphasis here in the refusal is that your husband and job are not enough to motivate you to come back.

My brother told me that UKVI actually called him to ask if I intended to Japa and that he should make sure we return. I was shocked that they had to call.

My ties in Nigeria and investments, I'm sure that case officer can earn close to it.

But it's what it is. They always doubt our intentions.

So you need luck, God and ability to convince them

@(advanceDNA) pls kindly advice...I dont want to mess this up..this is so conflicting .

David are you versed in child dependant visa?.I didnt mention or mean DNA test result..I was quoting an advice from a nairalander who goes by the name 'advanceDNA'
I see

I got a visa for myself, wife and son last week.

I noticed they wrote that the boy can only be allowed to use the Visa if I or his mum was accompanying him. Boldly written on the boy's visa. I'm shocked.

For children under age 18, they require that the child would be accompanied by either the parents together or one of them, with the consent of the other.

Bro, even if you're divorced, either of you must grant consent if the child is going with one of you.

Do you remember David's case when he wanted to go to Dubai with Imade, without the consent of Sophia the mother? Davido was stopped at the Airport when Dele Momodu wrote a petition because the mother didn't consent.

See what I got from Meta and UK Government website

Traveling with a minor child after a divorce can be complicated. In the UK, you'll need permission from everyone with parental responsibility for the child, unless you have a Child Arrangement Order that says the child must live with you ¹.

If you don't have a Child Arrangement Order, it's best to get written consent from the other parent, including their contact details and confirmation of the trip details ¹.

*What to Consider:*

- *Parental Responsibility*: If you're the child's mother, you automatically have parental responsibility, but you still need the other parent's permission ¹.
- *Child Arrangement Order*: If you have this type of order, you can take the child abroad for 28 days without permission, unless the court says otherwise ¹.
- *Court Permission*: If the other parent refuses permission, you can apply to the court for a Specific Issue Order to determine whether the trip is in the child's best interests ².

To avoid any issues, it's best to communicate with the other parent and try to reach an agreement. If you're unable to come to an agreement, seeking legal advice is recommended.
Bro, don't mess things up for the child. There's no other way out
