It does not matter if you work for AMCON, the fact remains that the court has given its ruling based on facts presented to it. If AMCON had a case, coupled with the backing of the government, I do not see a reason ehi they should not win the case. However, the reverse is the case because the facts laid before the court was glaringly in Capital Oil's favour.

See, Amcon is not paying 1 kobo to the account of COG that I know. What do you know the money was meant for in the first place? Why do you think Amcon refused to perform?

Who do you think is owing between the two parties?

Do you think Amcon can't appeal the judgement?

Amcon will pump in money to revitalise COG and rather pay the trade creditors directly.

That's the way to go.

Also pay salaries of workers owed since 2012

Amcon would be silly to pay such amount into COG's account, cos COG is indebted to close to N100billion with Amcon and if all the assets are sold, it can not pay the debt.

Option left for Amcon is to continue the business on going concern basis, pumping in money in order to make money.

A lot of people posting on this thread have no idea of what's on ground. They're here either hailing the judgement or criticising.

We already advised both parties last year on what to do.

Some paper works needs to be tidied up

Whilst Ambode is building bus stops etc he demolished couple of houses, im not sure people took up arms to protest, cos they know the end result of their temporary hardship

PDP just cant accept defeat.

Im sure they want to ride on that dead horse being that Edo State is part of SS and PDP controls the SS states.

If i can recall also, PDP won Edo State in the Presidential Election. This and the former would be the leverage PDP wants to build on for their case.

What they've failed to realise is that the Governorship election is a different ballgame. It's sometimes controlled from the center case of (Ekiti Fayemi VS Fayose) and from the incumbent sometimes like we had in Osun (Aregbe vs Omisore)

In Bayelsa, it was Incumbent that defeated the federal might. In Edo, its same scenario. i.e Incumbent+federal might defeating the new comer.

That's how politics is played in Nigeria. You win some, you lose some
