Even a 3m broadcasting satellite will do. I once wanted to purchase a 3m dish and was told it will cost 3000 dollars about 600,000 naira minus shipping and I was shocked. The lady told me its for broadcasting houses and the signal reception will be equal to a commercial 5m dish.

But seriously do you think a 3m will do the work of 4m?

Very true bro, the only problem is apart from picture glitches which is due to their inadequate signal reception, not all beinsports are being aired especially the ones with english commentary due to d fact that there aren't getting all Tps.

My box will soon be with me and I will unbox it here for everyone to see. My items are coming by sea and will take sometime to clear.
I will not spend more than 3000 naira on IPTV a month to get about 90gb data if you know your way. But I don't watch TV that much anyway though using dstv family, Startimes premium with FTA, lol.
I normally use kodi hooked to a TV through a HDMI port from a pc mainly for football matches.

At the end of the day, no way to displace local content from Star times or DSTv

IPTV is for matches not aired on IKS or FTA.

I even heard that Star times acquired the bundesliga rights from DFB and if true, I'm going for star times as primary source, just that I'll miss Africa Magic. I love urban, showcase and Yoruba. Only Orisun and WAPtv supplies Yoruba movies on Star times.

I'm also anticipating CTL/ Trend TV. they said they have all beinsport channels and uses DVBT decoders as against DVB, hence DSTV can't challenge them over rights issue

I have a motorised dish
I have one of Star times and GOTV
I have two phones that I get minimum of 2gb data on, monthly basis for normal office work

Why should I get a Spectranet that's not too portable like a phone and be adding 7000 to my monthly expenses?

It means some things will be based on opportunity cost, with alternatives to forgo.

I guess we ran to IKS and motorised dish to save cost, not so?

This post almost turned me against my good friend Emmachile and Boss.

Anyone of us that is ready to spend 15k a month on internet, should rather pay DSTV 13k jeje

For now, stick with Big motorised dish according to available space, back it up with IKS and then support with either Star times or Gotv for local content

CTL/ Trend started in LAGOS, using yagi antenna back in early 2000s but moved to the South.

However, DSTV owns the entire west African beam in terms of right to show EPL in this region. They'll kill all competition, even with the backing of the law.

They'll soon challenge CTL, as soon as it becomes more popular.

No no no. The full package has never been less than N11,000 per month!. It has about 196 channels in total but with the 10000cfa (N3,300) package with canal football and canal sports +, you dont need any other package. it covers all football leagues there from epl to uefa matches especially the canal sports + channel.

Some sport channels are missing on the cheap package. please confirm

Hahaha you are right. Just went through their page and there are a package of 7 premium channels at 10000cfa (3300 naira) and another at 18000cfa (6000 naira) but the full package is 40000cfa (13300 naira).

I think the packages especially the 10000 CFA was introduced to curb piracy.

Think its cos of dollar increase, it wasnt as high as 13k before, except they copied DSTV. They have offices in VI

Its raining heavily in here, and my Irib Tp signal strength has dropped to 35%, showing scrambled channel, whilst Aljazeera Tp is still very strong and high.
