nedekid: Oga it is possible, the medical center will be an MD customer, ie those that have private transformers, we struggle with average monthly bills of 5m for a small boutique hotel and an event center. Note that it is not daily you have events in which you turn on ACs. The hotel closeby I hear average 20m, the Chinese making nylon next door have bills of averagely 30m. All this is aside diesel cost which is the real killer. Infact most business these days see diesel as the major expense. Most cannot afford to restart production process when nepa takes light and bring it at will so they just keep the gen running. Now if the federal medical center is a big place such as Lasuth, or LUTH, I assume they will have heavy equipments such as CT scanners, MRI and other power hungry equipments you cannot just shut down, they are not like computers or TV you off and on, it takes a long process. Based on that assuming they run a 1000kva generator which ast 80% load consumes eg 180 liters of diesel per hour for 15 hours daily ie 2700 liters per day or 81k liters monthly. Yes corruption as you rightly said will be there. I give you an example, few days ago we bought 500 liters, the next day by 5am estate security stopped a vehicle leaving with 7 kegs of diesel, last last it was traced to my premises. By 5am my security man had drained 220 liters into 7 kegs and a buyer came that early morning with a vehicle to carry, paying him 24k per keg. And this has gone on for a long time, luckily we caught them. My oga at the top, I comot cap prostrate for you o! Sheh you be doctor ni? Your analysis is brilliant and I'm impressed by your argument. Thanks. |

It makes no sense at all, almost amounting to the legendary sleaze and corruption the civil service is reputed for (disrepute actually). Let's break it down. A monthly expenditure of 20 million naira on electricity amounts to about 650k daily. If they're supplied with only 3 hours of power every day, then that's 220k per hour. Haba! Furthermore, 80k litres of diesel in a month is about a hundred million naira every month for 24 hours power? It just doesn't add up to me. |

Lanretoye: I don’t subscribe to acquiring afford for over a £100m and you can’t invest €1m in Remo stars after coming to Nigeria to enjoy fame and such hospitality. People quoting me on this comment should just understand that the money may not necessarily be an investment but a way of giving back to the people of Nigeria cos that act will still give the local club more publicity internationally and improve the local league to an extent, that’s the power of our celebrities and they can use their capacity to build our brand.when ahmed Musa came back to Kano pillars it wasn’t about the money he wanted to make but the support for the club. Well said, and to think that €1 million which is about 1.6 billion naira, will bring a lot of improvement on the local football scene. |
