Many Christians today are far too casual with God. We often treat Him like a celestial vending machine, popping in prayers when we need something and expecting Him to respond with just what we ordered. We must consider His holiness! He is the Almighty God, Creator of the universe who deserves our reverent fear. But the proper fear of God is not an attitude that keeps us shaking in a corner or running away from Him as fast as our weak little legs can carry us. No, if we have trusted in Jesus as our Savior, then His blood has granted us access to the very throne room of God. We can draw near to our holy God “with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith” ( Hebrews 10:19-23 ). Yes, we have access, but God is still holy. Malachi 1:6 reminds us that God is both our Father and Master, which makes us both child and slave. This dual role creates a tension that helps us better understand what it means to fear God A proper balance will keep us from either treating God too casually or remaining too distant. We will obey God out of fear.“Where there is no fear of God, there is no fear of sin.” When we do fear God as we should, then we will begin to obey Him. Our obedience will then foster a deeper intimacy and closeness with God than we have ever experienced. |
It seems almost unfathomable to question God's love for man. We might fail to see the love of God when we take it for granted, for what is the essence of his unconditional love if we taking it for granted. God’s very nature is love: John says, “ love is from God ” and“ God is love ” (1 John 4:7- . We also know that God is unchanging in regards to His character (Malachi 3:6). Therefore, His love is constant and unconditional. Jeremiah wrote, “ The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness ” (Lamentations 3:22-23).However, because His love is constant and unfailing, we can eventually allow ourselves to take it for granted if we are not careful. Once we start taking it for granted, it can be easy to overlook. |

Comatose since Christmas 1969: A tale of unconditional love and miracles By Wayne Drash, CNN UPDATED: 08:02 AM EST 12.23.12 Colleen O'Bara bathed her older sister, Edwarda, and fixed her hair. She fed her through a feeding tube like she'd done countless times. It was going to be a good day, the day before Thanksgiving. With her morning routine complete, Colleen planned to fetch a cup of coffee. She bent down and kissed her big sister, told her she'd be right back. "She gave me the biggest smile she has ever given me in her life," Colleen recalls. "Her face was aglow. There was a sparkle in her eyes." But just then, Edwarda closed her eyes. For 42 years, her family held vigil. They awaited the day Edwarda would awake, the miracle that never came. At the age of 59, Edwarda died, believed by medical experts to have lived longer than anyone in a comatose state. Her father, Joe, died six years after she fell into her diabetic coma, the strain of working three jobs to pay her medical bills too much. Her mother, Kathryn, had promised to never leave her side; she died in 2008 after caring for Edwarda for 38 years. Former President Bill Clinton, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, singer NeilDiamond and other celebrities visited the home over the years. Renowned self-help author Wayne Dyer penned a book, "A Promise Is A Promise," about Kathryn's unconditional love. Thousands of people -- from Japan to Australia, from Italy to Canada -- took the pilgrimage tothe O'Bara home, inspired by the devotion of her mother. They were drawn too because they believed Edwarda had miracle healing powers: A woman with an inoperable brain tumor was cancer free months after she touched Edwarda. Two girls with cystic fibrosis were apparently healed in the months after visiting her room. Even skeptics said they felt a strange aura when they walked into the North Miami home. http://m.cnn.com/primary/cnnd_fullarticle?topic=newsarticle&category=cnnd_latest&articleId=cnn/2012/12/23/us/longest-living-coma-patient-dies#page2 |

sweetrace: This is so wrong on many levels. They don't think that they're better than others cos they are smartter. They usually just want to be like everyone else, and simply accepted by their peers. In the US, some of these kids are heavily medicated. Off cos the medications have their own side effects. I've worked with some kids that no one else would, and they all craved acceptance. Even the most seemingly detatched ones. Some end up escaping into a world where fiction is just as real as the real world. Adam's mum introduced a very unhealthy element into his life. Guns! She took him to learn to shoot guns, and bought 5 guns. Someone who is said to be have been a computer game addict.yeah, maybe i was wrong, but not totally. Mind you we have various types of personality disorder, but basically my opinion is base on the original post, and all that was said about him. His mother introducing him to guns, and factors like gory games and movies were just catalyst there to induce him. |
People like adam are particularly very smart, timely, and meticulous to a fault. They are very much aware of their super intelligence, hence they find it hard to socialize with people cus they believe others are not as smart, and they can't deal with that. This narcissistic behavior is usually their achilles heel. He also must have loved being alone,so he wasn't frustrated cus of the "outcast" treatments. The fact that the guy doesn't feel pain,he is unlikely to experience any other human emotions like love, pity, fear, and remorse. People like him see other normal people showing these emotions as being weak;so,because he killed himself doesn't mean he was sorry or scared of the punishment to follow;to him, killing himself is just like outwitting the law. To him, killing himself means he won. |
A lot of psychos roaming the streets. . and when guns are like some cheap over-the-counter commodities, any daunted mind can go on a free spree;and even for the stupidest reason. God console their families. |
sexkillz: [color=#000030]Shollypopz is up for grabs. . . And we are considering throwing in abil as well.and what more can one ask for. . . |
slimderek: The military Joint Task Force (JTF) has killed four sub-commanders of the dreaded Boko Haram sects including two experts in the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol-bombs.They sure have tight and organize hierarchy, with various specialties, and that's why they've been able to strive even after the deaths of their big guns. God help us this christmas. |
And whats up for grab? ? A BRT bus? ? All expense paid christmas holiday trip to syria? ? Oh,a good share of the subsidy fund? ? Tempting. . . But i need to make-up. |
We are what we say we are,and that's what they'll call us. And we say it louder by our actions, celebrating curruption. |
Some people are already weary of their own lives, and they are just waiting at the edge of a cliff; they just need a little push by someone else for them to finally end it. . . .reminds me of a person that took her own life cus an hotel wouldn't discount her cus of her size. |
Society generale. . .the new generation bank of the 20th century. That bank did a lot of damage to many families. Hope its staying this time. |
You only need hyper-active bleaching agent in "brainwashing" these morons in believing the myth about some 72 virgins awaiting them after taking their miserable lives with other poor - unfortunate - souls with them. Shocking and sad! |
