A loyal dog which has waited on a busy road for more than 80 days after its owner died there has captured the hearts of online communities in China.
Footage of the animal in the middle of the road in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, has been viewed 1.4 million times on the popular Sina Weibo microblog.
China's Pear Video website said the dog has been seen in the road every day since its owner died on 21 August.
A taxi driver said people try to help but the dog runs away.
"Drivers often give the little dog bits of food, but when we get out, he goes away," he said.
"This owner's relationship with her dog was very deep. After she was killed, this little dog has just stayed standing guard.
"Every day it's in the road, I always see it. The relationship between man and dog is so true."
The video was filmed on 10 November and since it was shared on Sina Weibo, the site used instead of Twitter or Facebook in China, users have been commenting on the "loyalty" of the dog.
One person said: "This little dog is so loyal. My family used to have a dog and every day it would wait for me by the village school."
Another user was concerned for the welfare of the pet.
"It is so dangerous for that doggy to stand in the middle of the road. I hope that some good people can adopt it and take it to a safe place," they said.
But this is not the first devoted dog to tug on the heartstrings of those on China's social platforms.
Earlier this year, Pear Video users fell hard for an elderly dog named Xiongxiong who would wait patiently outside a train station for his owner to come home
from work.
In Japan, Hachiko the Akita became famous in the 1920s for meeting his master every day at a railway station. He continued to make the journey nine years after his owner's death.

The major work to recovery through depression still lies with the people that surrounds the sufferer, but often times they help to make the situation worst. This psychological illnesses are so crappy that you'll begin to wonder why a vibrant and cheerful looking fellow that has everything going well would take his own life, and some will manage to kill others too. Subtle mental illnesses are dangerous, and its scary a lot of people we deal with on our daily routine are suffering from one or two. .like having to deal with a lot of them on the internet.

I don't know how this çould even be possible when one of NUC's requirements for establishing private universities is to provide the Cert Of Occupancy of the land the university is meant to sit on. How should there now be a tussle over a land that could only be licensed if it has a Cof O? Nigeria is a mysterious country. It seems the new trend is to use demolitions to target perceived opponents. This could only be political. But only useless/pathetic govt/politicians would take aim at a university to spite opponents.

He had 204 or 25 points in jamb and needs like 35 points in post utme to beat the cut off mark, can he do change of course now that the post utme form has closed and secondly, what course can he change to so he can change back to computer science?
