European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by dayokanu(m): 3:27pm On Oct 09, 2009
Look at this old donkey, most of these players came in very young. Arsenal had a very big hand in their development. Cesc wasnt in Barca's plan when Wenger brought him over to England. Now they are having verbal haemorage because they want him back.
Almunia, Osasuna Came to Arsenal at 27 years of age
Sagna, Auxerre Came to Arsenal as a 24 year old
Clichy, Cannes Came to Arsenal as an 18year old after 15 caps for Cannes
Gallas, Caen/Marseille Came to Arsenal as a 29 year old
Vermalaen, Ajax Came to Arsenal as a 23 year old
Cesc, Barcelona Came to Arsenal at 16 after being crowned the best player at Under 17 level
Diaby, PSG/Auxerre Came to Arsenal as a 20 year old
Song, Bastia Came to Arsenal as a 19 year old after 2 full seasons with Bastia
Arshavin Zenit Came to Arsenal as a 29year old
Van persie, Feyenoord Came to Arsenal as a 21 year old after being crowned Dutch football talent of the year 3 years earlier
Bendtner Arsenal Arsenal bred.

So only 4 of the starting 11 came to Arsenal under 20, Song and Clichy were already played first team football in the previous clubs So how can someone who has already played senior team football be discovered at Arsenal?

I am sure in some years we can also claim Arsenal discovered Gallas and Arshavin.

@dayo , where are the Aliaderes ? Matthew Upsons ? Jermaine Pennants ? David Bentleys ? Ashley Coles ? Need i go on ?
The players I've mentioned are better known round the world than, and i confidently say this, 95% of the players in Bundesliga.
Aliediere - Middlesboro Division 2
Upson - West Ham Lower half team in the EPL
Pennant - Zaragoza bottom half team of La liga, Infact newly promoted team
Bentley - Tottenham
Ashley Cole - Chelsea Truly world class.

Being known around the world means nothing in football, David Beckham is more know around the world than Zidane and Kaka added together

@okunoba,

Some people when they dont have any point to make just resort to insults.

@ezeagu,
When the coup plotters were planning the killing of Sardauna, Balewa, Akintola and Okotie Eboh, they should have killed Azikwe or the Eastern region premier too. But they chose the path of tribalism and that got us where we are today.

Does that make any sense to you?

Those stats show how Italian teams fared vs German teams last season and shows the steady decline in the standard of the Serie A

^^ Because some people are not ready to take responsibility for their misdeeds, Starting a war, attacking other regions.

Yet everyone in this country is resposible for their sons in the army planning a coup to kill other regional leaders and sparing theirs

History has it that the Yorubas always for a political party that they follow making them a bloc and not an appendage to the Hausa Fulani party.

Like Action group, Like UPN, they all joined SDP , later AD until the rigging machinery of the PDP took over.

Igbos allied with the NPC (NOTHERN peoples Congress) in the 1st republic.
In the 2nd, they allied with NPN and became second rate
3rd republic According to the June 12 election results released by Nwosu recently,

MKO Abiola won in Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Taraba, Yobe and the Federal Capital Territory. Tofa, according to Nwosu's result sheet, won in Abia, Adam-awa, Bauchi, Enugu, Imo, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Rivers and Sokoto States.

This result was released by an Igbo man Humphrey Nwosu and it shows where the allegiance of the South east lies
Of 4 Igbo states, 3 voted for the Hausa candidate.

Beaf

I think the 1990 coup was more of a minority coup a lot of middle belters were involved. Gideon Orkar was from Benue I think, Mukoro benin, Ogboru Delta
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Drogba Vs Torres. Who's The Best? by dayokanu(m): 4:15am On Oct 09, 2009
Rather its the other way round, Torres plays as the Big man upfront and Villa behind him.

The norm is to use the bigger guy, the Six foot plus guy as the guy upfront and the shorter guy with better running and nimble skills behind him.

It was due to his ineptitude at scoring for NT that makes Villa take the scoring gauntlet.

Like Rooney plays behind Heskey but scores more than heskey cos Heskey is just a waste of human flesh

Or Zik decided to become boy-boy for the North when Awo stood alone.

If Zik hadnt traded the South east for ceremonial presidency and his clansmen contented with being Vice presidents behind Hausas maybe things woulda been different.

Zik chose to queue as assistant behind Balewa When Awolowo stood alone
Ekwueme chose to queue as assistant behind Shagari While Awolowo had a Hausa VP
Sylvester Ugo chose to queue as assistant behind Bashir Tofa while MKO brought Kingibe under him
Okadigbo chose to queue as assistant to Buhari while OBJ took Atiku under him as VP

They say if you sell yourself for cheap (VP), you cant be taken seriously again
Politics › Re: Under One Roof? by dayokanu(m): 12:29am On Oct 09, 2009
^^ It was so unfortunate that the Igbo officers who led the first coup chose the path of tribalism by killing other regional leaders and leaving the eastern leaders.

Its so unfortunate that Ironsi as head of state did not take decisive actions against coup plotters like Ifeajuna and Nzeogwu.

Its so unfortunate that Igbos in Northern Nigeria decided to make posters depicting Ironsi standing on the Head of Sardauna

Its so unfortunate the Biafra army decided to attack the South West before they were stopped at Ore.

Unfortunate unfortunate

Do they take Second class Upper or is it just First class?

Must it only be Engineers or can Medical graduates apply too?.

What is the age requirement? How many years work experience is needed?

We need more information and he can also post it on Monster.com

Depends on where he is playing. He led the lines at Kaiserslautern, Werder bremen with Klasnic and with the national team.

At Bayern he dropped behind Luca Toni who is the bigger threat physically

Klose is flexible he can play as a top striker and he has the off the ball skills and unselfishness to make him a good support striker

Gilberto was schooled by the French midfield. Infact the loss can be adduced to Gilbertos presence.

Zidane schooled him so much he gave up. Henry scored what Zidane served him on a platter. If you erect a statue there the statue woulda scored that goal.

The greatest country in the world Brazils captain played in the Bundesliga till last June.
