Let's look beyong how many competitions that the players have participated in and focus on what they achieved in those competitions.

How many goals did they score?

How many goal assists did they achieve?

How many passes did they complete?

How many goals did they avert?

Let's look at substance...
One appearance in a world cup final bests 50 in WAFU cup

Sagamite: Nah! Chelsea won something not Mikel.

If JT was not in the team. THEY FEEL IT!

Remove Mikel and he is replaceable. No more loss than losing Welbeck!
JT was in the team they felt it and won Barcelona and Bayern Munich

Mikel was a key player for Chelsea when they won the CL last May

Sagamite: Rubbish!

Ajax is not one of the biggest clubs in history.

If Ajax is one of the biggest clubs in history then you can say Porto and PSG are also one of the biggest.

How come Finidi was bought by Real Betis and Ipswich? He was shyt?

Was Bebeto also shyt?
You can choose your opinion you can't choose your fact. Facts are sacred. Ajax is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Sagamite: Unfortunately starting a CL final means nothing to me as anc achievement. Nor does wearing a captains armband.

If you control the game, bang in goals like wata and/or are a source of inspiration everytime you are on the pitch, then that means something to me.

If you like wear cowboy hat on the pitch, that is not an achievement.
That's to you. I can say to me shooting stars is the best club in the world or Alhaji Adamu is the richest man in the world.

To the football world CL is the next biggest stage after the world cup.

Sagamite: If Mikel was removed from the team are you saying his team's chances would drastically reduce?
That's an opinion. Fact is Mikel started and won a CL something okocha never achieved. John Terry didn't start and Chelsea still won I'm sure someone like you would say the teams chances reduced
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 7:07pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: Why is PSG not in the league of Lyon? grin

But no big club bought Finidi now, so he is not good. A big club bought Valencia, he is a star. grin

Bebeto is also shyt!
Finidi was bought by Ajax one of the biggest clubs in European history. Okocha never achieved anything close
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 7:05pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: So the bench of Okocha matters but the bench of Kanu makes him the greatest ever while other people do the majority of the work? grin
Kanu started a CL. Final he captained an Olympic winning side. Tell us anything Okocha achieved close to these
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 7:00pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: And what makes you think PSG has not won several titles?

PSG is not one of the top teams in France?

His contribution on the pitch.

Tell me, is Valencia better than Finidi?
Psg is not in the league of Lyon.

How's Valencia better than finidi. What has he won that finidi didn't
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:59pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: Okocha won ANC and Olympics!!!

If Mikel was removed from the team are you saying his team's chances would drastically reduce?

How was Kanu key member of his team?

By sitting on the bench most times?
Okocha was largely a benchWarmer in ANC win of 94.

Kanu captained the Olympic team and number 6 in the whole world

afam4eva: Your criteria is very very faulty. What if an agent of Lyn oslo sees me playing someone in lagos and after trials, i get signed to this club and the club gets to the final of the UCL and wins it and even though i only featured in the last 5 minutes of the final match, will my name also appear there? It's an insult to use winning the UCL final to adjudged players of African origin. There's the world cup, nations cup and other competitions.
Mikel Kanu Finidi all started champions league final.

What factor is used to judge Messi as a great player
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:55pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: How are Lazio, Roma and Lyon bigger names than PSG?

But if Bebeto was good, big clubs would come for him na? So maybe you are suggesting he did nothing at the WC they won then.

Surely you are saying Bebeto is shyt because big clubs never bought him.

Their teams won, not them.
Lyon won several league titles. Can't be compared to PSG.
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:52pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: Be careful DK o!

People can vex and lynch you for what you did there. grin
Mikel won a champions league. Did okocha win anything in his career as a key member of the team
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:50pm On Jan 06, 2013
afam4eva: Guy, you're very wicked. See where you carry Okocha go keep.

I think supersports have to tell us what criteria they used to adjudged these players cos using different parameters will give you different results. But i think only two people will appear in most of any criteria you use and they are Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu nwakwo.
My list has a reason my top 3 won the champions league the best stage of football after the world cup
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:48pm On Jan 06, 2013
Sagamite: I guess Paul Gascoigne wasn't good then.

I guess Juninho Pernambucano wasn't good then.

I guess Bebeto wasn't good then.

I guess Claudio Caniggia wasn't good then.

They are all cannot even smell Kanu. They are inferior to him? cheesy

And Valencia is way better than Finidi George? grin
Gazza played for Lazio. Juninho for Lyon. Bebeto won the world cup. Cannigia played for Roma which of these can Okocha match

Jayjay na just circus entertainer
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:46pm On Jan 06, 2013
Kanu started a champions league final. The biggest level of football after the world cup final

My list would be like

Kanu
Finidi
Mikel
Taribo
Oliseh
Yekini
Amuneke
Okocha
Amokachi
Ikpeba
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 6:36pm On Jan 06, 2013
If you are good big teams would seek you. That's why big teams sought Kanu all through and only mediocre sides looked at okocha

Sagamite: Perenial long-term bench-warmer at Ajax, Inter, Arsenal and even Portsmouth and West Brom vs. King/Alhaji/Alfa/Olugbala/Owelle/Private Jet Flying Pastor at Frankfurt, Fenerbahce, PSG and Bolton. grin

I would take the latter anyday. He was also Olugbala of Super Eagles.
Came on in the CL final when Ajax won Scored the winning goal in the FA cup for Portsmouth , WOn several titles in Inter and Arsenal

Chicharito is also a benchwarmer better than many starters
Sports › Re: Nigeria’s 50 Greatest Footballers Of All Time By Supersports by dayokanu(m): 5:33pm On Jan 06, 2013
ImpactWorld: I believe the reason Kanu Nwankwo is placed above J. J. Okocha is because he played in more popular clubs and won more trophies internationally. In terms of personal skills, J. J. Okocha is undoubtedly number one
The reason kanu is ahead of jay Jay is because Kanu is a better footballer and more purposeful than Jayjay

Its not by coincidence that one resume reads Ajax, Inter Arsenal while the other reads Frankfurt, Fenerbahce, PSG and Bolton

Big club want big players and not circus entertainers like Okocha

Its like comparing a resume that reads Accenture, Exxonmobil, Goldman Sachs to one that reads Okonkwo and Sons, Obat petroleum and Wema Bank

KANU the best

Even in economics its bound to fail like Communism failed. When you reward hardworking Dangote and the Agberos who do nothing on the same level

Definitely Messi-Xavi-Iniesta dont earn in the same region as Adriano-Bartra-Dos Santos

Ngwakwe: @Dayokalu,

The document refers to every land including communal, inherited and sacred lands. There wasn't any reference to people being indigenous to the land.

If you may know the document put everyone living in a particular state in the same radar.

There was no mention of exclusive list where a particular tribe ownership endures forever without review.

What then makes any Yoruba from Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Edo and Oyo States different from somebody from say Sokoto, Enugu or any other State in Nigeria.

Lagos State is not an inheritance to South West States, rather a former Capital of Nigeria and will remain so. It must work for all its inhabitants and as Alj harem rightly said "No person will be deprived of his/her right of which right to vote and be voted for is inclusive"
If Nigeria should split today what do you think would happen to the land you bought in Lagos?

If Nigeria splits into Biafra, Oduduwa, Nigerdelta Arewa etc. Do you still think the same fate of Ogun, Osun citizens in lagos would be the same with the Biafrans like Anambra and ENugu

Thats the difference Theres soething called "ANSWER YOUR PAPA NAME"

A Yorubaman is a Yorubaman anywhere whether in Lagos, Ekiti or Osun

Eko Ile: They review for a reason. If after their review a decision was reached not to renew your lease, they'll take away the lease or revoke it. Your lease is even revokable before the end of your 99 years lease if need be.

When the time come for everybody to answer their papa name, we'll claim back all our land and you are on your own. The land is not yours, na borrow borrow you borrow.
Knock it into their head for the illiterates to know that the land they bought in Lagos doesnt make them Lagosians

However tell South Westerners to stop selling their land to non indigenes

Torres won because he played less minutes than Gomez

Thats why he was a benchwarmer all competition
