As for La Liga itself, I'm scanning through to check how many lower-half teams beat Barca and Real (the true top teams in Spain) and I find not many times it's happened this season. . .compared to the EPL, it's not as regular. Swansea have beaten City and Arsenal and Chelsea escaped with a last gap draw. Swansea alone. Name one La Liga Side (newly-promoted or lowly, perrenial struggler) that has managed similar feat even when you add Valencia and Sevilla to the top team cadre in La Liga.
See the m0r0nic assertion he is trying to defend? If Valencia and Sevilla are not big teams why include them in the post.

Its a shame that you chose to trade whats left of your watery brains for a plate of Akamu.

Someone even claimed Benjamin Adekunle was Aare Ona kakanfo in 1969 and several brainless Igbos were applauding her.

Better teams have lost to Citeh this season in Etihad.

No team has beaten Cite at home this season but we expect Chelsea who have a gruelling schedule to do it.

RDM losing 1 in 5, the only loss being Losing 2-1 at Etihad is considered a failure but AVB winning 2 in 12 is not?

coogar: you are such a fool!
your point is fergie/wenger should be facing the axe because man utd was bundled out of europe and arsenal haven't won the league in 7 yrs thus they should have been sacked. you also went as far as saying the spanish league is stronger than the english league.

i have addressed each and everyone of your point but you are not gifted with a retentive memory.
the reason fergie can't be sacked has been addressed, same as wenger. i also told you why it's idiotic for you to claim spanish league is better than the english league based on one season.

to compound your stupidity, you claimed united wouldn't win nothing if they were in la liga - and i told you the vast amount of money united would be copping every season because of their commercial brand. what else do you want me to state? your direct comparison of both leagues is baseless. you keep getting your ass whupped with your idiotic comments every now and then.
This leprechaun cant even piece his argument together logically

Fergie and Wenger would have been sacked in La Liga or most league in Europe FACT. Fabregas who happens to be Wengers captain alluded to this. The pressure on Managers to perform in the La Liga is more than in the EPL. No team would stick with a coach for 7yrs even if they give him the budget of $20 per season

Spanish league is definitely stronger than the EPL. The performance of Spanish lower teams in Europe outweighs the performance of EPL lower teams.

The only thing EPL had ahead in performance was the top clubs and in recent times Barcelona and Madrid have woken up and are faring better than EPL toppers.

United would definitely find it harder to win in the La Liga just like Bayern would find it harder to win in La Liga. You would be competing with clubs who are better like Madrid, Barca instead of Arsenal, Dortmund and Chelsea. Instead of Sunderland, Everton and Blackburn you would have Athletico Madrid, Osasuna and Getafe Thats simple logic but to expect a saphead like you to understand is to attempt to teach a hilbilly differential equation.

Maybe we have to convert that logic to counters for you to have a shot at understanding it

coogar: language/cultural reasons is the reason.
most south american players speak spanish. only brazilians speak portugese and even then the languages are pretty similar.
spain also have a similar climate to what the south americans have. england is wet, cold and the food is rubbish!
the tax in england is also hopeless. if i were a south american too, i would stay be in spain - away from the useless media who hounds footie players.

when was the last time you heard about ronaldo's man-whoring in spain?
Actually historically we have had more Suth American play in Germany than in EPL what could be the reason? Language, Weather or they serve Pounded yam and taco Cabana in Hamburg and Munich?

South Americans started coming to the EPL in the 2000's downward. One of the first Brazilian I remember that played in the EPL is Juninho Paulista for Middlesboro While i remember Jorginho playing in Bundesliga as early as 1989

What is your point? State it clearly what your point is and relate it to the claim that English media is making it tough for coaches thereby getting sacked more than other leagues

Like coogar,it's hard to agree with that assertion based solely on two-legged ties.We paraded poor teams, yet managed to get to 3 CL finals in 4 years. How can you marry that with the assertion we will struggle in LA Liga just because we got beaten by Bilbao?
Hence,Fulham will finish in the top 4 in the bundesliga, since they beat Wolfsburg and Bremen in 2009/10 UEFA Cup. Both finished higher in the Bundesliga than Fulham did in the Premiership, but could only score ONCE against Fulham in 4 games, according to camel dayokanu's logic.
He thinks this is his taxi cab where he can coerce us into believing he played with Thunder Balogun, hence these miserable analogies.

As for La Liga itself, I'm scanning through to check how many lower-half teams beat Barca and Real (the true top teams in Spain) and I find not many times it's happened this season. . .compared to the EPL, it's not as regular. This season Levante has beaten Madrid,
Getafe has beaten Barcelona,
Real betis a newly promoted team has beaten Valencia,
Zaragoza the current bottom team in La Liga beat Valencia at home just yesterday,
Granada a newly promoted team defeated Sevilla at home,
Levante beat Sevilla,
Villareal with 6 wins all season beat Sevilla at home and drew Madrid yesterday,
Santander beat Sevilla,
Sporting Gijon beat Sevilla.

Yet the m0r0n1c Starboard wants us to believe it happens only in the EPL

FYI Sevilla has lost 10 games this season and Valencia has lost 7

Summary Man Utd who are very weak this season has lost 3 games in the EPL while Barcelona the strongest side in La Liga and Europe has lost 2 league games

Man City who couldnt cut it in both CL and Europa has lost 4 while Madrid who is still unbeaten in CL has lost 2.

Has anybody been able to approach the Houses of Assembly in any SW state concerning the attacks on state capitals? And what did the Houses of Assembly do to protect the people?

Exactly! The state capital is the sit of power where govt is most visible, at the very least, there should be a response, not total silence.

Delta villagers protest attacks by Fulani herdsmen

by Emmanuel Addeh, Warri

Tension continued to build in Delta State on Tuesday over alleged incessant attacks on residents by Hausa Fulani herdsmen in the state.

Residents of the affected areas in the state told journalists that the activities of the nomads had negatively affected their farmlands.

The farmers from Uwheru, Ughelli North Local Gov ernment, who took their protest to the State House of Assembly, Asaba, the state Capital, displayed pictures of various relatives they claimed were killed in the various attacks by the herdsmen.

Another community, Ohoro community, in the same council of Delta State, had also last month barricaded the popular East-West Road over the issue.

At least two persons were killed in the bloody fight between the Fulani herdsmen and members of Ohoro community in the February incident.

The placard-bearing protesters, who were received by the Acting Clerk of the House, Mrs Lyna Ocholor, maintained that their lives were being threatened by the activities of the nomads.

It was learnt that trouble usually starts when the herdsmen's cows stray into farmlands belonging to the community, damaging crops and farmlands.

Angered by the trespass and damage, the farmers would confront the grazing cows of the nomads which would result in the use of dangerous weapons in reprisals.

Hundreds of placards-carrying Jesse women from Boboroku community in Ethiope West Local Government Area also recently protested against the Fulani to the Town Hall of the community, demanding the immediate evacuation of the herdsmen and their cattle from their farm lands

OWERRI-Two people are feared dead, while an unspecified number of women have been reportedly violated by Fulani herdsmen who invaded Umuapu community in Ohaji/Egbema local council area of Imo State with their cattle.

Vanguard investigation revealed that angered by the alleged gory activities of the Fulani herdsmen, scores of women and youths barricaded the ever busy Owerri-Port Harcourt federal highway yesterday to protest their plight.

Traffic along the highway was, for the greater part of yesterday, disrupted at Umuapu, while commuters were forced to seek alternative routes to get to their destinations.
One of the protesters, who simply identified himself as Chukwudi, lamented that “apart from the two dead villagers, the Fulani herdsmen have ceaselessly violated our women and girls as well as destroyed the crops in our farms.”

He described the grazing of their cattle on farmlands as “a deliberate ploy by these Fulani herdsmen to ensure that we are not food sufficient in Imo.”

Every effort made to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Linus Nwaiwu, a deputy superintendent of police, failed as he was said to be away from the office when Vanguard called.

However, a senior police officer in the State Police Headquarters, Owerri, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the incident and quickly added that normalcy had returned to the rural community.

“The police is aware of previous reports about the activities of the Fulani herdsmen in the area. We are investigating the incident but the villagers did not wait for us to complete our investigations before they jumped into the highway,” the police officer said.

It is obvious that the SW is being tested as the next ground for expansion. What kind of rubbish is it for tenants to repeatedly fight with their landlord?
You mean during the 8yrs of PDP in the SW, Hausas were not fighting in Yorubaland?

How come Hausas are still a problem in PDP controlled Plateau and Benue?

StarBoard: dayokanu,
You're the one posting like an illiterate.
You said its a fact that coaches get sacked.Unfortunately,to discredit your point, Rafa Benitez who won La Liga could only manage one second-place finish in England, yet you want us to believe United and Fergie would go 5 years if they were in La Liga, based on the fact that United lost to Bilbao alone.
You shame me as a graduate of Engineering with shallow reasoning and poor deductive skills you show on matters like these.
And stop skewing facts.Barcelona can't be said to be totally dominating Europe since 2006.Or how did European giants like Milan,United and Inter manage to win the CL in between?
You're completely out of touch with reality if you think Barca and Real are the two strongest sides in Europe.Recent history tells us that unless you're lying through your pores,Madrid haven't won the title in almost a decade.I'm surprised you haven't lumped your Bayern in there.
The funny thing is you think you're saying stuff that means anything.Even your tenses give you away as a complete sports analyst.
Since you have been out of school for 10yrs your deductive reasoning has dimished significantly

If in 6 seasons a club has won 3, is that not domination? We have how many clubs in EUrope? maybe 200 and one club wins 3 out of 6 while the rest 199 share 3 among themselves

Barcelona won in 06, 09, 11

The same Rafa Benitez who won La Liga was sacked within 6 months in Serie A, How come no one is claiming Serie A is harder?

Well the doofuses on this thread who cant locate their own assses using their two hands want us to believe EPL is the hardest

Benitez survived 6yrs in EPL, He couldnt make 6 months in Serie A, So we should make a deduction from there
