So because a not-so-smart Aguiyi Ironsi, who was not smart enough to secure his own life, was not able to bring the culprits to book, the genocide is justified?

So because some militants in Odi killed Nigerian soldiers the massacre and violation of Odi was justified?

So because some irate youths in Zaki biam killed some soldiers the razing of every living thing in Zaki biam is justified?

So because Hutus shot down the plane carrying a Tutsi president and killed him as a result, the genocide against the Hutus is justified?

So because some Igbo soldiers carried out a coup plot and and Aguiyi Ironsi, who played a major part in scuttling the Nzeogwu coup, could not bring the culprits to book the genocide against the Igbo is justified?

Abeg, put on a better reasoning cap!
My guy thats the nature of war. No war in history has ever been I kill one you kill one. If you kill one of mine, I reserve the right to kill 1million of yours

Ibo soldiers killed a few Politicians, and in return they lost 100,000. Live with it

A few men killed Archduke Ferdinand and that sent the whole world into World war 1.

A few Al Qaeda guys bombed America and the whole Iraq and Afghanistan was levelled

If the Ibo soldiers didnt kill other leaders and sparing theirs there wont be a pogrom

Moral of the story: If you dont train your children well, they might bring sorrow on the whole community

If those Ibo soldiers were smart enought to kill Zik and Okpara, there wont be a pogrom

The pogrom was in retaliation

Where is he now? Let him come out now. Sorry he was so used and dumped like a LovePeddler.
I wouldnt want to think other Yorubas are so silly like you.

People stop saying trash about other ethnic group because of some misguided. Stop this nonsense.
He is alive, He is not a vegetable, His brother is not phocking his wife.

At his prime he sent Ojuku to Abidjan dressed in Skirt and G string

If a man who was used can send Ojuku to Abidjan in the middle of the night Then I fear for that man oo

I want to prevent even one Igbo from having even one piece to eat before their capitulation. We shoot at everything that moves and when our troops march into the center of Igbo territory, we shoot at everything even at things that don't move"

The Coup plot was a revolutionary one. Read your history. Nigeria was not working in 1966 and the coup plotters wanted a fresh start. It was a coup planned by some Igbo officers and other officers from other tribes. The coup went awry cos some folks didn't carry out their part in the east. The intention of the coup plotters was to make Awolowo Prime Minister,  It's a long story, but the nature of coup plots is such that it is a top secret.  The Igbo nation was not informed of the coup plot, Igbos did not sanction the coup plot. Like all coups before and after it, coup plot is a clique thing - a clique spearheaded by Nzeogwu carried out a coup. When IBB and Gideon Orkar carried out their coups no one said it was the Hausas or the middle belt people that carried it out.

The question is ''why the pogrom?'' Why the genocide?'' , ''Why kill innocent men and women who had nothing to do with the coup?'' I understand the anger of the North, but the people who were killed were all innocent. It's just like supporting what Obasanjo did at Odi and Zaki Ibiam. Soldiers will be soldiers.  Igbos were innocent. The genocide was in cold blood. Blood speaks!!

Please, read Wole Soyinka's ''The Man Died'' and get your eyes opened.  By the way Wole Soyinka is a yoruba and is still one of the few objective men in the whole of Nigeria.
In the said coup, what a coincidence that Zik was spared, Eastern region Premier was spared and all other Ibo politicians

You think say others na mumu?

Thank God for people like Benjamin Adekunle who revenged proportionately in the heartlands of Biafra

The crisis in the then western Nigeria led the first coup. The Balewa led administration could not help matters and the young military boys felt they will do better.
In short, the 1965 western Nigerian imbroglio was the real cause.
The western region crisis led to Ibo soldiers killing other regional leaders and sparing theirs

In 2000 you pad 600, in 200,000 we should be expecting padding up of 60,000.

If you son steals milk or meat and you reprimand him, its not that the one meat would kill the family but the larger issue at hand.

I would rather him ask me for $600 Timberland boot and give to him than STEAL $2 meat from the pot.

Regarding the marital trust, It would take time to build it back.

If I scrutinize our expenses and she seemed straight with me for a while it would be built back gradually and if there were no Paddding up for a while we might get back to where we were initially

Its like me finding out that my son has been hanging out instead of being in class, after the reprimand, for a while I would have doubts about his movement until he proves back to me that he can once again be trusted.

^^^^^^ Personally i would be annoyed, but to the point of saying i do not trust him anymore, that would be a long time not to trust my spouse, don't you thinkhuh?? i mean ''forever''!!!! Now how would i know, he has changed if i do not give him another chancehuh? infact as many chances as i can give.
You would be pissed if you know but at that point if I were, I would want to know the details of other joint financial transactions we are involved in and How much they really cost. (I dont know if you have acted differently)

If you can be dishonest with this, What more are you dishonest with

Questions and "eyebrows that I didnt raise earlier would now be raised

That is the TRUST broken It took time to build but can be destroyed in an instant.

Similarly If I find out my son has been lying about school fees, I would then want to also know what the real cost of the "excursion" and "field trip" he told me about

Ok I think we are making progress here.

The first thing was you admitting wrongdoing on the part of the ppl who inflated prices

The issue here is that many posters here think the OP's wife has done no wrong and OP is just raising hell over nothing.

I wont advocate him to divorce her for such issues just like you wont divorce your husband for such

Just that TRUST has been put in doubt and he has a legitimate reason to be aggrieved or pissed.

Ok i will answer fist, while CC types an answer for you, i will overlook all of them, they are family and not strangers.  Not that i will not call their attention to it, i will, but will not make  a big deal out of it!!!! especially if the amount has no meaning.
This is a better answer I can work with.

If you discover the trend has been on for over a while e.g

The mortgage you and your husband jointly contributes but he remits is $1200 instead of the $1400 per month he tells you.

The school fees of your younger sister of Child in Uni is $1000 as against the $1200 you have been paying for 4yrs and the handouts cost $100 less than what you have been charged for.

Would you also "not make a big deal out of the occurrence even though it has gone on for years"

Cos I believe the OP wasnt complaining about one occurrence but a systematic and consistent padding of prices regularly

i won't feel cheated because i cannot expect my wife to give steamy sex every time we are in bed. she's human not a machine.
the steamy ones are for special days or the rare occasion she's in the mood or when she wants to motivate me.

i don't think employers feel cheated when they pay bonuses to employees as a means of increasing the production output.
it's an incentive. it doesn't mean she would stop performing when i don't have to give her. there's nothing to feel cheated about.
See comparison

Husband-Wife relationship to employer-Employee?

Ok So the husband in this case is the employer in this case and wife employee. A boss-Servant relationship is what you compare to marriage

A woman gives her husband money.

Honey pls on your way from the stall help me buy an iphone. The husband comes back home that he bought it for $600 the wife later finds out he bought it for $500

Can I assume the responses would be the same here? Or they are just flesh and blood

Whats wrong in telling your wife I bought it for 500 but I have used the $100 on it for something else?

Trust, truth, Honesty seemed to be a strange concept to us

the relationship i have with my wife is different to what i have with my kids. i have highlighted that.
when i grow old n grey and get struck by stroke in the next 50 yrs, this woman would be with me whilst ma kids would only pay monthly visits.

my kids are different from my wife!
You just highlighted that the kids have a right to gripe on you so why is it bad for them to pad their fees?

Your wife being with you in 50yrs is not a given, she might decide to bail out on you before then, while we have had instances of kids who put their parents in with them when the parents are old

In Nigeria especially, its not strange to see parents live with their kids when they are old
Family › Re: Wife Financial Insincerity by dayokanu(m): 10:15pm On Nov 24, 2011
^^ So according to you, your kids are justified to pad up their school fees, steal money from you since they have a right to gripe from you?

Let me get this straight and also anyone that supports this view
