Damn, just got this devil PC that I am to install linux on. Now I am getting pissed off, it installs any windows version I try on it but when I try a linux iso, it refuses to boot from the disk, be it a dvd or a flash drive. Has anyone got a fix for this that doesn't require bios changes?

Can you drop a tutorial(or a link to one) on how to use an outdoor antenna to get maximum reception for mobile broadband? I have an outdoor antenna already being used for one of the "4G" networks now I wanna know how to tweak the mofo for all networks.
P.S I already googled but couldn't find information that was relevant enough.

dude, I have with me a torch 1 that boot loops. When you put in the battery, the notification light blinks and rather than boot up, it just keeps on blinking over and over. Can you drop a link to a place where there's a step by step on how to fix please I no sabi the way of all this OS7 below blackberry abeg. Thanks.

Nah damn small linux is already dead as far as I know. @4llerbuntu,if you want a distro that a noob can figure out on the fly,you can try elementary os.I don't know how large it is though.

I only installed something else because my 14.04 install crashed. and remember the KDE i'm using is not vanilla. the Pinguy guy already installed and tweaked so many things so its not bad....... i doubt if it was vanilla kubuntu i'd still be using it.


yeah, i'm lazy too these days. no time to mess around too much.


ultimately its not so bad sha, now that i don't poke round my installs much. i just know i'm never downloading Pinguy OS ever again. too much crap and customizations. duplication of app, updating is a major data waste each time.....


BTW i'm thinking of migrating one old PC at work to a distro. PC came with XP and its a pain to allow XP on the network.... always attacked.
problem is i can't think of an appropriate distro.
Guy that uses the PC uses only* firefox and MS word. total noob, even in windows.

challenge is, something that does not deviate too far from windows look (and will not end up with me holding his hand all the time) AND will not be heavy on the download.

FFS even Xubuntu .iso is 915MB thought of mint xfce, its 1.2gb

Not really so.When you think about it,it works the same way youtube does(only in a social media type of way).Some people post videos to youtube,get millions and billions of views and make money while some people just post videos to youtube,get millions and billions of views for the fun of it.The way I see it,Tsu is a really good social network for me as it combines the things I like about twitter and the few things I like about facebook plus an instagram/google plus like feed that looks good.I became kinda bored with facebook as a social network a while ago and see it strictly as a business model now whereas,this is fun with the added perk of it being monitized.
As far as the money part goes,I cannot say for certain.But the sharing formula is from ad revenue,Tsu takes a 10% cut and re-distributes the remain 90% to the users.
