seunjungle1: Your illustration on makinde choice can work in your region but here in southwest it doesn't work like that. In most elections we do vote in southwest base on individual not base on party affair. The moment makinde declare his support for Atiku or Obi, that's the end to his political carrier in Oyo state... Not that our former Governor (Ajimobi)in Oyo state did not perform well for us not to vote for his senatorial ambition or his party governorship candidate. But there's what we call omoluabi in everything you're doing.... Ajimobi didn't show enough characters of omoluabi... He disrespected our father(Olubadan) He talked jab to the people of Oyo state He forgot that people brought him to that seat.
Intact, his government was one of the few best government we had ever enjoyed in Oyo state.
It is on this note that I will let you know that Oyo state choice remains Mankind's choice when it comes to 2023 election and that choice is Jagaban...as a matter of fact southwest is choke! You talk like a party man, so I believe you are a party man. So, I also will talk like a party man(even though I am not but have heard the opinions of PDP people of Oyo state) Makinde is running under the PDP which just took power from the APC in 2019. His party is only interested in winning and even though he is the governor, engaging in anti party activities will cost him dearly as someone who is seeking re-election. So, if he doesn't want to loose he must know that party is supreme and should just fall in line and support Atiku. Only few omoluabi's will go the way of let the presidency return to the South by all means. That will almost mean partnering with Folarin at the expense of loosing the guber. And my region is the southwest. I know how things play out here as a matter of fact, I'm very close to Oyo state. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu, Wike’s Camps Meet To Finalise Deal On 2023 by Dbegining: 8:34am On Dec 28, 2022 |
I don't think Makinde will ever declare support for the APC. Except he doesn't want to be re-elected. Ortom has already declared for the LP. In summary the news isn't Correct. ryloy: Either way, anything to divide PDP votes
If they support LP= APC Gains If they Support APC= No much gain except Rivers. Benue, which we have Popular Candidate in APC and the Gov is a failure. APC is going to win Oyo with or without endorsement, while Abia and Enugu has no much say on who their people vote for. One thing you don't ever do in politics is overrate your candidate and look at any endorsement as inconsequential or useless. Look at 2019 Osun guber election. What made the APC win was the collapse of a structure of a party that isn't known beyond the SW. Even Tinubu won't say this thing you just said. That Wike's endorsement is not so much useful. |

One thing I don't like about this thing is when people say "it's a Muslim country, respect their religion" but refuse to say the same thing for example now if the US bans the wearing of ijab in her country. Can we also day the US is a Christian country, and these Muslims should also respect their religion? |
Business › Re: CBN Redesigns 200, 500 & 1000 Naira Notes by Dbegining: 6:43pm On Oct 26, 2022 |
Kasssandra: CBN is not in charge of economic policy.
Monetary policy, yes, but only as a reaction to what Buhari and his finance and planning folk do....and what the oyel price says.
Plus, we don't change our currency that frequently. The last change we had was in 2013, and even then for the N100 note. Your Excellency sir, Economic policy is grouped into two: Fiscal and monetary policy. The federal Government is in charge of Fiscal policies and the central bank I in charge of monetary policies. That is what makes up an economic policy. Saying the CBN is not in charge of economic policies is trying to exonerate them of all their responsibilities and saying they don't do anything economically to the country. |

Backbencher2: Problem is not monopoly, but they operating at a loss because government said so.
Plus, other companies won't step in for the same reason. Why should I come in and do business, and government tells me how I must set my price? So that I won't have cash to improve and expand?
Reason why Glo and 9 mobile came in after MTN and Airtel is simple. Government was not setting prices in the GSM sector. Good evening sir. Do you even have an idea of what subsidy is? The government fills up the gap (money) in the cost of production and that is why it is called subsidy!!! |
Politics › Re: Eko Electricity Apologises As National Grid Collapses by Dbegining: 6:29pm On Mar 14, 2022 |
The law of supply states that a increase in price will bring about a increase in supply, but these guys are showing the reverse here.
They removed subsidy on electricity (which by the way is a basic nessecity as we were taught) and still there is very poor supply.
They want to remove the one on petroleum.
I don't think it'll end well at all.
When studying, don't ever ever use Nigeria as a case study. Never! |

The before pics is the contention here and not the after. Blame that on the state's ministry of work and their media department that used a downloaded image and not the governor or APC who is not responsible for the error We run a system of government which there is collective responsibility. The governor appointed those people you mentioned so, the blame rests on him. |
