The first statement shows how the executive and legislative arms see the judiciary. They see them as puppets and don't take them serious. They see them as people that can be silenced or bought over. People whose careers lie in the hand of the executive or legislative. People whose court orders become a choice. And not an order as it really should. Until the Judiciary oust this mentality and stand firm inflicting punishment and Swift judgement on high class offenders, our judiciary and indeed democracy will remain as it is : hopeless and for the powerful only. And then our country becomes a case of might is right. |

Okortor:Na so una talk. "We need a president with balls" "Jonathan doesn't have balls" Buhari enter. Now Buhari balls don tire una na person like Putin or Trump"balls" una want. Quantinue! Wetin you dey find, you go see am. |
jameshow:Thank you for this first hand information. But, what's the problem on ground. |
What law was broken? backbencher:I ask again sir, what law was broken? The police are not to work or subjected to persecute according to moral standards or what they think is right or wrong. They are to work with one thing only: the law. If any known law was broken, I support the persecution but if they are acting this way just because they believe it is wrong, then they are totally wrong. kolagbemi:Now, I'll say two things: 1. Not everything that endanger the life of citizens is a crime. If it were so, all tobacco and cigarette producers should be in jail. Or All those involved in the exploration of oil ln Rivers State should also be in jail because of the soot. What counts is what aspect or part of the law was broken. 2. If this matter were to go to court (as petty as it is) the state will loose. Because there is no evidence that there was a fire or any thing that could spark a fire. And please don't even say generator. If generator was something that could spark a fire, there wouldn't be filling stations because Filling stations use generators. kolagbemi:Don't get emotional. I didn't say "things that endanger the lives of citizens are not crimes" I said "not everything" And I say again, not everything. And don't divert to smoking tobacco in certain places because it is actually a crime to smoke in certain places in Nigeria (even some big hotels) But the real harm is not smoking it in a particular place but actually smoking it. No matter where the act is done. Those guys that ban it in their buildings are just saying, "hey, don't smoke here, smoke somewhere else" No2. The ban on petroleum was a very obnoxious law. Other states also banned last year but it hasn't been enforced. If it was being enforced, even you and I should have entered the police custody because of it and let me remind you, a law is only as good as when it's enforced. If not, it's not a law. No3. Even though there is no evidence to the "apology" you said they gave, I'm not sure I'll be surprised if it's true. I mean have you ever had an encounter with the NPF? If not, I pray you don't. Even when you're right and on your right, you will still be the one saying "sorry" with money in your hands. So yeah, they must apologize. That doesn't mean their action was wrong. Lastly, you still haven't shown me the part of the law that was broken exactly. |
please can you enlighten me how The US and NATO is pushing them to war. I really want to know more about this narrative I've been reading. EdiskyHarry:And by the way WhatsApp and Instagram are still working fine in Russia. |
. |
ednut1:If you condemn NATO and the US invasion of other countries then you should also condemn Russia's. If you don't condemn Russia's, then you shouldn't condemn NATO and the US. |
This news is false.

SarkinYarki:Who refines oil for the giant of Africa? SarkinYarki:Na my fault say I reply you. Na me cause am. |
uunwanaobong3:First, there was no formal agreement by the West that they wouldn't expand Eastward. No written or signed document. And this is international politics, Russia should know that any agreement reached must be put in writing and made formal, if not it doesn't hold water. No2. Ukraine as at 2010 were a non aligned state. It was the annexation of Creamia that made them start seeking NATO membership (and who wouldn't have) So when Putin sighted direct threat as a reason to invade baba was just lying. No3. Russia signed a Budapest agreement that they assured to recognize the sovereignty of Ukraine. So what's their own with Ukraine internal politics? Lastly I saw a post where someone sighted that the US is obligated to help Ukraine because of the Budapest agreement. It's false. The provisions of the agreement only stated that The US and Russia will recognize the sovereignty of Ukraine and other states and never said they would help in the case of any invation or attack on Ukraine. PS anything you see on this forum, double check o. Use Google, use Wikipedia. People post their opinions here as though they were facts. |

Guyman02:No1. The first paragraph was just name-calling No2. In a vote, those who abstains are not saying "no" and therefore it's the same as relinquishing their voting rights, it doesn't count as a "no" No3. I've said this before and I'll say it again. You should know how votes work from even Local government voting or primaries of political parties. You should know that number is all that matters! No4. Those you are calling just numbers(France, UK, northern Ireland) are permanent members of the council. No5. The US, France and northern Ireland also have veto powers No6. Look at the attachment below. And by the way, that attachment isn't CNN.

Double0h7:But the US is donating and assisting the country in war. What no other country is willing to do because it's a "cash cow" and as a matter of fact, the EU has not yet donated. And who told you US won't donate t the victims? the EU is also very much esteemed very highly in world affairs. Lastly, how many times have you heard of Russia donating, helping and supporting countries like this? But they want to be at the top. It doesn't work that way. Again I say, you want to be up(even as an individual) help, donate, aid, support. Don't go around fighting unnecessary wars. |
.. |
Double0h7:I agree with you. Nobody is doing anything for nothing. But, not only America is cashing out, oil producing countries such as Nigeria is also cashing out. Arms selling countries are also cashing out. But who among these countries have you seen donate any money to Ukraine? |
This is why the US is at the top. They give, they aid, they support. You want to be at the top? Outdo the US Not fighting unnecessary wars More responsibility gives more power By the way, Call me for your laundry, home and office cleaning |
Guyman02:All countries on the security council has a vote. A vote of Russia can't"case close" a resolution especially when there are many saying no. Don't you know how voting works? Russia isn't God on the security council you know. You were quite funny when you said "Russia vetoed it, case closed" ![]() |
I definitely do not hate Russia and Putin. So, for those saying those watching news channels like BBC,CNN, FOX are being brain washed by The propaganda of the West, I remember when Biden announced the plans of Russian invasion, they called the US a war monger and a liar. The Russian media kept on saying, "we are not invading" Now, I'm saying this because those people believed it word for word. They've invaded. You believed Russian propaganda. Except you are supporting Russia out of hate of the US and the whole of Europe, critically assess this thing and make a decision. I use proof not what the media say. Anything said must be backed with evidence. That's not brain washing, that's telling the truth. And for those speaking out of hate, I have nothing to say to you. No word spoken out of hate is right. Deal with your hate first. |
naija4life247:Poland is a neighbor of Russia. Why hasn't the West invaded through Poland? |
Juventus4life:Drop the link showing the treaty. Something as popular as that should be on the net. Meanwhile
|
For those saying the West signed an agreement not to expand NATO, it doesn't exist!

I've still not seen a mugshot of this guy sha. They need an iPhone 14 camera or what? Well, I still do home and office cleanings. |
I recently wanted to login my zenith Bank app. I wanted to register on a new device. I put my password, it didn't go. Them I decided to reset my password. Used my Debit card details, it didn't go. Went to Twitter to ask what's up. Then I was told to go to any nearby branch to get a hardware token for 2,500 or an e token for 1,500 It's like zenith Bank is saying to me, guy you don buy new phone, celebrate with boys na. Not even caring whether it's an upgrade or a downgrade. |
anonymous1759:Guy, see what you're saying. Why will they take back a territory that has been annexed since 2014? If they do that, you'll be the one shouting here and there. And just to clear things, then, Ukraine wasn't a member of NATO so, the U.S was obligated to do nothing. |
