Come to the lecture room, FEG 434 handouts & books flying up & down. An electrical engineer student reading engineering mathematics to what end if not to burn someone's house down No real practicals Nothing. You can't really achieve anything there if you just invest your time to read & pass well.

You might get good grades for your effort but you will only end up at best- BEING HIRED TO DEVELOP ANOTHER PERSON'S IDEAS.

To tell you the truth, Nigerian system of education in the university level is just crappy and won't add any skill for you. It's just a total waste of time unless you are innovative & can think outside the box.

Call an electrical engineering graduate to do some simple alternating wiring and he will burn down your house but call a simple electrician for the job & he will do a neat work.

U mentioned that mech engrs create design & optimize...well I am yet to see a made in Nigeria car, unless am living in pluto, nothing tangible have come from our mech engineers.

Or shall I talk of the botanists that doesn't even know the name of species of plant from just one genus. What he knows is what he heard in the class but bring a cassava leaf for identification, his face will change to-->

What of our electronic engrs, the road side phone and computer repairers are far better than them. They only know how to carry files up and down.

Now look at the supposed miracles he received after coming back to his god. They were:
-Joy of god
-Peace of jesus
-Love, free from sins, wisdom....bla bla bla

The Job you talked about, when he went through his trials, wasn't he rewarded much more than he had in the beginning? I won't go on preaching, I respect your views, but when you encounter God YOURSELF, you will know that he is real.

Let's look at the highlights of the story shall we? Correct me where am wrong:
•God called a meeting (that's how they decide the affairs of man on this little planet )
• His sons gathered including his most beloved son, Satan, who he gave most powers to
•He started boasting about an innocent man who fears him [(perhaps to avoid the wrath of god not knowing that he is in for a looong thing)]
•Satan said it was because god blessed job and proffers a test on the man for an all knowing god to know whether job will curse & rebuke him.
•God accepted the wager. **NB: The two wagers from both meetings culminated in what we later know as the ultimate gamble on a man's life ever known till date.
• And the mighty hammer from god descended on job, for it was god's power & authority that was used to perpetuate the evil deeds. (So bad )
•Job suffered and prayed, no alleviation was coming forth and said nothing will make him rebuke god (just like thesixthsense pointed out in his thread that even if god doesn't answer his prayers, he will never err again). At least job was still thankful that he was alife.
•After all and all, he won the bet (he knew he will win of course after all, he's all knowing) showing his most beloved son that people are still fearful of him.

Is that all Just to over blow his ego, an all knowing god subjected an innocent man to all those sufferings... I just love this god

I mean what's the essence of going to church to pray to a God, hoping to receive answers, yet none has come, is coming, or will ever come.

All the same am not saying that going to church is all bad. It all depends on your reason.
If yours is going to receive a solution, you're in for a long thing...

If yours is like mine:
-I go to RCCG, winners, Glorious power assembly to watch the dancers & probably dance as well, enjoy the band & music & above all hear testimonies

-I go to the Catholic church if I feel like communing with the saints and singing high hymns with the choristers...lovely
And of course receive the fresh precious flesh of Jesus christ (not delicious though ).

-The kingdom hall of Jehovah Witnesses. I love this one above all I must confess. When ever I feel like re-visiting my mythologies & know how far I've gone with the bible , then that will be my right place to be that Sunday. I will go to meetings hoping to catch a new scapegoat for a wonderful, glorious debate

-Other pentecostals are based on invitations.

Those are the reasons I go to church when I feel like, otherwise, I use it to tackle real issues & enjoy a good time

-Chased man away from the garden & guarding it with a bazooka flaming sword lest man dangles and eat from the tree of life and live forever!

There was no way he budgeted man to live eternally.

In part 2 though he realized his mistake.
-He came down to atone for his sins of setting man up.
-He allowed himself to be sacrificed so that man can now live eternally (I wonder how that made sense ).
