This forum is really doing a lot of things to me..brethren. Reyginus is complaining bitterly, even Tufanja + many others (I won't even talk about your own ).

It's not worth it to become attached to any forum whatsoever! (except maybe your own) The end result could be significantly deleterious. My 3 cents

I don't even know what is happening over here.

So they have finally fried and electrocuted our brother (& my first real source of joyous astonishment in any religious/myths gathering) to the point of no return.
Even after some pleas to Seun to look into the issue, nothing was done & me..brother finally lost it & ended the torture.

This bitterness happened to him because [of his love for NL] he allowed himself to be swayed in too much and become fully attached to the Matrix of Nairaland.
Now he has become unplugged...hope the mods have learnt their lessons because it can happen to anyone, even me..self (though am not plugged in)

But the act of erecting a tall structure was not the problem. The Bible does not tell us that the people who built it thought they were going to reach God. It uses the phrase “ let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven ” (Gen 11:4 ) but when we look elsewhere in Scripture we find that this simply means the city and its tower was built very high:

So why did God stop them? So what, exactly, was the sin?

Like so many things, the Tower of Babel was an act of disobedience. It starts in Genesis chapter 9 just after the flood:

Notice that it starts with defiance to God's commandment to replenish the earth and to emigrate and form different nations. Instead of travelling to separate lands, they stopped in one place together.

Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Time again I will say is an Illusion. It is not real. Past and Future are Now. We are presently not traveling into future neither are we traveling back into the past. Time makes it seem as if we are traveling. Just like Motion,when you walk,you are really not walking. If you have the illusion of moving forward you can also have the illusion of going back in time. Look up "Mirror Universe" or " Parallel Universe" These stuff are not really in Physics Text book because the people we call Physicist are still learning more about how Time and the Universe works.
