PoliticsRe: Oil Companies Are Not Responsible For Niger Delta Development by dblock(m): 8:16am On May 21, 2007
@ Bushfellow. I'm Part Niger Deltan and my Grandmother is suffering in Sapele, but I will never destroy my homeland to raise awareness. The Niger Delta Militants are going about the sitauation the wrong way, and the only people that are paying for their actions are everyday Niger Deltans. Obasanjo is sipping Champagne whileIjaws and Itsekiris are fleeing the War Zone.

What have the militants accomplished?

The militants are just as bad as the Government in my eyes.

Even if they want to combat, they should at least Kidnap Polticains, not innocent people, and if they want to destroy, they should go to Abuja, not the Niger Delta.

Any militant that turns the Land of his forefathers into a War Zone cannot call himself a Niger Deltan.

Oil companies may not be responsible, but they sure are living in Paradise

Here is a Satellie image of the Shell Staff Camp in Port Harcourt

Notice how the Camp is a Rainforest and the Adjacent areas are Barren. They've got a Huge pool aswell.
Look at the quailty of those houses. Apart from the risk of being kidnapped, Shell Staff are living in Paradise.

The estate is probably the greenest place in P.H

Close up of some of the Palaces of the shell Staff (It's like a Mini City)

When there is no light, the Estate is the only Place in the Area beaming.

The Estate is encompassed with a Huge Perimeter Fence.

This thread is a Joke
PoliticsRe: Putting Food On The Table Or Sending Satelite Into Space by dblock(m): 4:20am On May 20, 2007
This thread is ridiculous. The new satellite is one of the greatest things that the oBJ Administration has embarked upon. It is by no means a waste of money. Anyone that thinks otherwise should get an immediate appointment at the Mental Insitute(Yaba grin).

How in the world can Millions of dollars anually from Tarrifs etc, be a waste of money.
How can better communications and 150,000 Jobs be a waste of money.
This Satellite is the most feasible Project I have seen in years.

Nigerians and other Africans wil benefit from this project directly and indirectly.

If you hear that you next door neighbour got a Job in a Satellite H.Q in Abuja, you know who to thank
If you are suddenly paying less money for your internet, you know who to thank.

This project is the best thing Obsanjo has done. Some people st on their chairs posting the same old nosense, without any research.

How did India get where it is today. Wasn't it through Education and ICT. Some people are still dwelling in the stone age; thinking that oney can only be earned by planting Yam and selling it in the Oja.

This project is more feasible than a Rooster. If I became president, this is the first thing I would do. Build a satellite.
Nigeria wil get more money over a period of 15 years than what was initially invested.

If that's not putting food on the table, then I don't know what is.

NigomSat-1 = Feasible

I should contact Oxford dictionary, and tel them to put NigomSat-1 as a synonym for Feasible
Music/RadioRe: 'Nigerian' Hip Hop Doesnt Make Sense by dblock(m): 2:14am On May 20, 2007
It isn't exactly off subject, because the reason why Afro HipHop or Naija HipHop isn't plainly refered to as HipHop is due to it's evolution!
Music/RadioRe: Reducing The Size Of Mp3 Files by dblock(m): 4:15pm On May 19, 2007
Use MusicMatch Jukebox
http://www.download.com/3000-2167-10020670.html

It does the Job and the quality won't differ too much.

Just change it to 96Kb Less, per minute. That'll equal to about 2.8 Megabytes from your original 5.0 megabytes.

You can compress the MP3 to as low as 250-300 KB, depending on the original size.

I use this software to fit all my songs on my phone, it has never failed me. wink
Music/RadioRe: 'Nigerian' Hip Hop Doesnt Make Sense by dblock(m): 3:18pm On May 19, 2007
It's the truth. Afro HipHop is still developing. Do you want me to emphasize? wink
Music/RadioRe: 'Nigerian' Hip Hop Doesnt Make Sense by dblock(m): 3:05pm On May 19, 2007
It is more commonly refered to as Afro HipHop, it is a sub Genre used to refer to HipHop songs that have a Pop blend and originate from the African Continent. I guess some Africans, Americans and Europeans feel that HipHop from Africa isn't at a ripe level yet. And quite right too, African HipHop is still developing, that's why African Artists like Zoro and Eldee aren't competiting in the mainstream with Artists like The Game and 50 cent etc. It's only a matter of time though wink
