Think back to the Ashaka MTO. If the company decides to not increase their stake, or to offer #20 per share the caveats in their press release will insulate them from all/any legal redress. In short what I see is that the company wants to ward off a massive sell off in light of the disastrous result they released, hence the press release. Classical monkey hunting. A company with such a disastrous result, and with dividend of 10k, trading at > #34 who then say they may come to buy their share back from me at #45 is not a good deal to me.

People will never realise the value of truth till its consequence strikes them.Are Nigerian graduates lazy?In my own assessment,absolutely with a capital A.how about their sense of entitlement? These bunch of poorly educated so called stars(especially the ones post NYSC)attend job interviews and mention sums they intend to earn,sums that are so divergent from their numerical abilities.They hardly can write a decent letter with the right tenses,can hardly think backwards to solve a simple problem and yet they feel they deserve the world.If I have not met and interviewed a whole bunch of them then I would be totally unfair right now but it is just pathetic how bad our products are and Natasha ,let them crucify you,your tone was stern but absolutely required.
To those of you shouting Indian this,Indian that,go outside the shores of this country and sign any form of bond with the intention to breach it and get schooled in what the word 'cicilized' means.We all talk about your word being your bond and not reneging on a promise made.Haven't you ever heard that you can't eat your cake and have it?You signed a bond that stipulated the terms of your release.if you are not happy,guy produce the 250k and stop immersing the reputation of those of us that intend to live right in the mire of a perceived morally bankrupt existence.

The US Supreme Court has struck down a law that defines marriage as between a man and a woman only, in a landmark ruling.

The court's 5-4 vote said the Defense of Marriage Act, known as Doma, denied equal protection to same-sex couples.

The court also declined to rule on a California ban on same-sex marriage known as Proposition 8. The decision paves the way for gay unions there.

Opinion polls show that most Americans support gay marriage.

Twelve US states and the District of Columbia recognise gay marriage, while more than 30 states ban it.

'Doma writes inequality'
The Doma decision means that legally married gay men and women are entitled to claim the same federal benefits available to opposite-sex married couples.

On Wednesday morning, crowds gathered outside the Supreme Court hours before the rulings were due, in the hope of getting a seat inside the courtroom.

The legal challenge to Doma was brought by New York resident Edith Windsor, 83.
She was handed a tax bill of $363,000 (£236,000) when she inherited the estate of her spouse Thea Speyer - a levy she would not have had to pay if she had been married to a man.

"Doma writes inequality into the entire United States Code," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in Wednesday's ruling.

"Under Doma, same-sex married couples have their lives burdened, by reason of government decree, in visible and public ways," the decision added.

"Doma's principal effect is to identify a subset of state-sanctioned marriages and make them unequal."

Lower courts also ruled in Ms Windsor's favour, saying that Doma did not treat all married couples equally.

The challenge to Doma did not address the question of whether same-sex marriage is constitutional.

Proposition 8 is a ban on gay marriage passed by California voters in November 2008, just months after the state's supreme court decided gay marriage was legal.

The state of California refused to defend the ban, so the group that sponsored Proposition 8 argued for it in court.

But the US Supreme Court said a private party did not have the right, or "standing", to defend the constitutionality of a law.

"We have no authority to decide this case on the merits," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the opinion, which was also decided by a margin of 5-4.

The court also said the party defending the ban could not demonstrate that they would suffer injury if the law were to be struck down.

About 18,000 same-sex couples were married in California in the less than five months that same-sex marriages were permitted there.

Critics of the measure said Proposition 8 was unconstitutional because it took away previously granted rights from gay and lesbian couples.

Doma was signed into law in 1996 by former President Bill Clinton after it was approved in Congress with bipartisan support.

But it was subsequently struck down by several lower courts.

In 2011, President Barack Obama said that while he would continue to enforce Doma, he ordered his administration not to defend it in court. So Republicans from the House of Representatives argued in favour of the measure.

Last year, President Obama became the first sitting president to publicly endorse same-sex marriage.

wolebaba: From my experience; its a problem with the motherboard. However, let's try a little diagnostic test:

- remove battery and plug in the charger and try to turn it on. (Specify result)

- if you can locate the Memory(RAM),carefully remove
it; clean it and replace back. If you have 2 RAM remove them one at a time and test before replacing.


If it still doesn't work, then you will need to replace the motherboard.

i have removed the battery and it still doesnt come on, and changing the mother board is expensive shee

hi, i left my laptop idle for while and when i came back, the screen was blank and unresponsive. I then forced it to shut down and since then it refused to boot. when you put it on, it beeps 7 times repeatedly. i took it to computer village and they said something about the power ic being bad. they have fixed it twice now and its not working. Please help....asap
