No matter what you say, analyse, or calculate(fuel, reachrge card, food) Romeo won't stop driving for Uber because he makes his 150k weekly (forget the number of hours or how many trips it takes him to get it done, he's making his money)

Breakdown is inevitable either by sickness, heart attack or any other disease. Dude I still doubt 5k fuel, cos fuel nah 145 naira now per liter not 85 naira in d good old days. 5k fuel can't serve 19trips. It's too small for dat. An average 8k fuel wld do 19trips even if it is short trips.

when u arrive at their destination how do you notify them only by SMS? What if there delays by your riders, won't u call them to know far. U can't use 3K fuel on 19 trips 17 hours online. No car is that fuel efficient to dat level. 17 hours is like u re working from 8am - 11pm

if u remove fuel money and other expenses like Uber commission of 25%, feeding and call card etc. how much will remain ? Rough estimate from experience, Fuel money shld be around 5-8k, Call card shld be around 600-1k depending on duration of call or SMS with your riders. Feeding money 3 times Morning, Afternoon, Evening which is about 1,500 naira only. Total money earned minus Total cost or expenses incurred equals to around 7k to 10k Well u tried. Kudos to u. It's not easy I have been there.

And someone was telling me d lady that got d taxify driver arrested shouldn't be arrested also. Lesbianism, gayism and homosexuality are against d law in Nigeria. It's not legalized neither is it in our constitution.

Am not justifying that what d driver did is right, but most of these girls that takes Uber and Taxify are olosho or runs girls. I have picked up many of them. How can a sane girl be discussing a very intimate matter with a driver. Something is fishy about this story. Taxify needs to do thorough investigation before any decision on this.

I feel for u bro. Uber biz used to be lucrative, not any more. Right now u don't need to do uber with all ur strength, morning to night. U will fall sick. I always work from 9am or 10am to 4pm on taxify alone. Sometimes I make 10k as profit, sometimes more or less. Its my car. I'm not under pressure. But once u are under pressure on rental, I bet u, u will fall sick and d car will fall sick too.

Lol, the reason is because, what most prospective driver partner read and hear about Uber is not what they actually get when they go into it. Driving Uber has a lot of disadvantages than d benefits. Uber is an Under paid Job or biz any reasonable thinking fellow would want to do for now. I was once humble and quiet when I got in, I then realized that this SHIIT is not what doing especially when u re doing weekly delivery. No profit. No savings. Work from morning to midnight and u earn 8k - 12k at most, remove fuel money and call card money, I am left with nothing more than 2k -4K. I still have to feed from it. Coke and gala on d steering with other junk foods. Immediately I resigned I fell sick due stress

During Taxify training, we were made to understand that they removed some phone models from thier recommended list because they reportedly had flaws when calculating distance with GPS. Hence, price

NB : It could be in your favor and against the riders or vice versa.
So you might want to check your phone

I can't go on an Uber trip to Badagry. It's a total waste. Except of course you just want to go on an adventure.
For one, you can't get a trip there. It's not under the Uber service area.

I usually admonish drivers not to go on all trips.

you cheated yourself in this case. It was a GPS error. U should have sent a message to UBER and they would tell you d actual amount and credit u with the remaining.

This ain't matter of GPS error. Countless times things like this has occurred. Uber fares is Insanely low. If I start bombing this thread with instances like this with screenshot proofs. I don't think you would have any say. What of picking up someone from Magodo to Badary with 3K fuel, There was heavy traffic at Mile 2, festac, Agboju, iyana Oba, Volkswagen, trade fair, Lasu, Ojo, Okokomaiko. The fuel got depleted to reserve on arrival. At end of d trip Uber calculated d trip to 3000 Naira on 4 hours 30 minutes trip. I had to buy 3K fuel to go home without making any single profit. On a normal day yellow cab wld do 5k - 8k on badagry trip. I have been in d game for one month. Uber is not worth it for now. Except u drive your car yourself, but still not profitable enough.

Uber is cheaper than Okada now!

One of my painful experience with Uber. I pick up a lady from Maryland to local Airport. With 45minutes to 1 hour traffic before getting there. Uber calculate fare at N285 at end of d trip, I was mad, to me it's like I bought N1000 fuel to make N285. The lady was so surprise and pitied me and gave me 1k because she knew d fare is very cheap and not worth d trip. Here is d screenshot

very funny. Is people like you they throw shit at u collect like that. Uber 25% is pure greed with 40% reduction in fare. Dude I worked my ass out nothing to show for a month on Uber as driver partner. All my earnings were just going to fuel, data, call cards and other expenses. I couldn't meet up with weekly rental of 40k. To me anybody driving on Uber is enslaving himself.
