How will it grow up when he's not even having any cash trip. Or am I missing something here.
Has bolt started adding interest to unpaid commission?
Last year I was owing close to 10k and I was still getting cash trips. I sharply paid my outstanding and sent them an email with my teller and reference number written on top. For more than 3 weeks my mail wasnt attended to, my Balance was not adjusted and grew to 20 something thousand. I called Bolt to complain bitterly about it, they adjusted it immediately and the current balance reflected on my app. If I had not call sorry would have been my case smiley.

Debt relief kwa! I laugh in taxify voice...ordinary 3k! No b hi. Uche dey drag one of us here sotey d guy provoke send thunder to kill all of them?

Ur own is 15k, me I'm owning them 12k+ and I know like 2guys owning them 20k each. They wont even think of a debt relief, how?! You want them to go bankrupt?

The best I expect of all ehailing coy to do in this trying time is to reduce their commission charges for their drivers then do promo for riders so as go encourage people to take taxi rather than spread or expose themselves to the virus by using public transport.
grin Very funny. Commission reduction and Promo is a good idea. But I don't think debt relief will make them go bankrupt. They have the financial muscle to take care of that. No be dem dey pay us weekend and daily bonuses back then. Besides not all drivers are owing them.

I have paid the debt and I have send them an email indicating my reference number and I also attach the payment slip I download from my bank statement. I have made the payment since yesterday but up till now no response from them
You had better keep calling them till your balance is adjusted on your app or else it will be growing every single day.

How many days will it take bolt to rectify there bolt commission after the payment is been paid and all necessary things is been sent to them.
you have to follow it up with phone call, or else it will be adding up to new commission or debt,. They are always busy dealing with back log of emails

They have the right to retain and sack you. grin

There should be some sorts of palliative from Taxify for their employee inform of debt relief, that would make sense alot. I didn't work for almost 2 months due to corona and am owing 15k in debt and card trip is not fort coming, where do they expect me to get money to pay them.

OPay has laid off up to 70 percent of its staff, and this includes both Chinese nationals and local employees. The affected Chinese staff are also said to be stuck in Africa as they have been unable to buy tickets and fly back home, possibly due to travel restrictions.

OPay has been struggling especially since the ban on motorcycles in Lagos. OPay has laid off up to 70 percent including local and Chinese employees. Some of the bikes are now into deliveries, but it’s not a big space for business compared to ride-hailing.

Another source confirmed to WeeTracker that the local person in charge of the ORide (Ridwan Olalere), has jumped ship and joined Uber Nigeria.

Something weird happened today at work. My boss calls me and says,
"Deji, please prepare the payroll for April; let's pay the staff their salary."

I was dumbfounded for a few seconds. My boss notices that I'm acting confused. He asks me what's wrong.

Me: "Sir, we are not paying April salary. The business didn't open. No member of staff came to work."

My boss stared at me, not believing himself. "Are you sure, Deji?"

Me: "Very sure, sir."

Did I do wrong? Did I not do wrong?

My words may be vulgar but that does not remove the irrefutable truths buried within. You see this life? This life is just a pot of beans. If your own done, e done be for you.

I don't blame most of you that insult me. The blame belongs to the lord. O yes. If the Lord did not allow Yahoo boys to reduce my company to scrabble, will I have ended up as an ordinary Uber driver?

Did the word pinch you? Did you get pained by Uber drivers being called ordinary? But thats what you really are... Otherwise what explains that ordinary 3 weeks into the quarantine, Uber drivers are already posting account numbers asking for help too? I thought you guys had a job too?

I remember months back when I was campaigning that this thing is not a job. That this useless driving work is just a palliative to hold on to while you land a meaningful job that will really sustain you. Most of you were posting screenshots of 20k daily. Even one driver boasted of making 35k daily on bolt. Please where is the money now? How can most of you be broke by this time? Because 20k daily equals to 600k monthly! Are you telling me that you eat 1 bag of rice daily in your house because thats the only thing that will explain being broke at this stage.

Real people who really had a job will weather this storm for the next 2 years at least should this virus issue continue. But a time will come when 80% of drivers won't really know where their next meal will come from. Will you bet? wink wink wink

Before Yahoo Boys defrauded me and "our" company of a very very huge sum and reduced me to an Uber driver, I knew what it means to have a job. For security purpose, I may or may not tell the story later. Then most of you will know why I hate human beings especially women so much. undecided undecided

You may be a billionaire today and people will be hailing you.... Calling you papa and mama like they are doing one aunty here. But once you take a hit to your finances, even the rats in your house will notice that your dust bin is no longer filled with rich damages. The way they will abandon you eh? Some of the rats that are mean will even enter your room to watch you talk to yourself always like a mad man as you recount everyone you helped in life and how they abandoned you grin grin grin

That will also explain why I don't engage in unnecessary battles on Nairaland with some people. I know my level in this life. Especially those ones that resemble reptilian offsprings with hungry looking long necks. Example is that thing that claimed he dropped people on 3rd mainland bridge.

Abandoned Sacrifice.

Nairabet donated N50 million to their workers Nationwide as palliative. At least each agent would get 25k for sustainance. What are our employer Uber and Bolt doing? Nothing! They are all waiting for d pandemic to be Over so that they can start using us to make money for themselves with cheap peanut fares. This shows how insensitive they are in difficult times like this. in America Uber eats is giving out 24million foods to cushion the effect of what people are going through. I pity the drivers that don't have enough savings to feed. This country has a long way to go. We lack selfless leaders and people

You always have a subtle way of deflecting from questions, and I find it amusing grin

Is it every one sneezing that is infected?
Is it everyone coughing that is infected?
Is it everyone having a flu that's infected?

Simple question: How would you feel if a driver dumped you on the bridge at night because you sneezed?

You: I should be educated enough to self isolate if I'm sneezing.

How does your answer justify that question?

While I don't support taking such risks this period, there are professional ways to handle customers.

The truth is that, it is his car and he can do whatever he feels like doing. Most of you don't realise this. If you own something, you have the right to stop the misuse of that object by someoneelse.

If a restaurant drives you out for smoking, would you say they were unprofessional in doing their duties

As for the sister who died, I sympathise with the school and the church, all these death and incident won't had happened if people had listen to govt advice not to build any property close to a pipe line or on a pipe line.

Isn't selfishness and greed not in America?

In fact Americans are the fore runners of greed and selfishness.
Darling, how will you feel if an Uber or Bolt driver kick you out of his Car and drop you in the middle of 3rd mainland bridge at night just because you are coughing and sneezing grin.

that is their job, saving lives and properties, their jobs entails lot of risks that can take their lives, they know it, that is why they do it, they also sign contracts to uphold that. they can die on duty, at the end, they have insurance, benefits that will be paid to their families.

an uber or taxify driver jobs isnt to save riders but to move people from one place to another, if drivers die on duty nothing for their families, why risk your life for something that isnt your job description or something you are not paid for.
My Sweetheart grin. Everybody cant be d same, some people are wired and made differently. He is selfless, you expect him to drop riders like pack of shiiit the way felicity did on 3rd Mainland. He considered their safety first. The Reverend sister that died in a Abule Oshun gas explosion while trying to rescue students, is she a nurse, soldier or fire fighter? Absolute No!!!. You don't need to be all this profession to do this.
The reason why Nigeria is not moving forward today is that We are too selfish and too greedy. America is great nation today is because they have heroes and martyrs. Mind you this is an impromptu situation.

sexylassie2:
sorry sir, how is that professionalism?

does professionalism means putting your life and health at risk for riders in a business where you have no protection?

this business has no health insurance, if that driver falls sick today, uber, taxify or the rider wont do anything, they will continue going about their lives and business, while he treats himself, no flower, card or money will be sent to him

should a driver sacrifice his life for an unknown rider just because of professionalism and customer service?

what if he was lied to or threatened subtly, is taking the riders to their destination still professionalism?

in my opinion, there is a thick-line between commonsense and professionalism

one should know when to use commonsense and one should know when to also use professionalism
I totally disagree with you. That dude is highly professional and courageous. He really understands his job in and out. Don't u read news on nurses, soldiers, fire fighters etc dying on duty just to safe people. These kind of people are rare. I respect him what he did.
