was thinking October 2020.

surely it cant be that bad??

abi I should go for bus?
Managing a Transportation biz is not an easy task. It comes with alot of challenges and requires due diligence and time. I dont know much about bus transportation but as for taxi like uber and taxify, patronage is very low at the moment, fares are not encouraging for someone to invest 1.5 million naira now. To recoup your investment is going to take you a long period of time because of cheap fares. And getting an honest and a good person is the soul and heart of this business which is very rare nowadays except if you wanna put the car up for higher purchase. Auto parts are very expensive now due to $1=N450. Bear in mind you will responsibe for repairs, if anything happens to the car you might spend alot from what the drivers delivers to you as weekly rent, which usually 20k-30k. If measures are not put in place you end up with out savings. In this Covid-19 period most drivers delivers 15k. Is not reasonable to put a car of 1.5million on the road and you re collecting peanut. From the looks of things business might pick during ember months and I would suggest wait till then or look for more profitable business to invest

I am seriously thinking of getting a car and giving it to a driver to use for Uber. I have a maximum of N1,5m to spent

few questions- is this still a profitable venture?
what type of car should I buy?
how long does the registration process take?

should I buy a car in Nigeria or try to ship one in from Europe?
all contributions appreciated.
The Business is not smiling in this Covid-19 season, kindly keep ya money till the pandemic is over. Or could do other less stressful businesses

You can never compare Uber with Bolt. Uber is miles ahead of other partners in the e hailing business.

The reason why Bolt seems to be better in Nigeria is because they fit the Nigerian system. Uber is just too rigid and hardly compromise and that is why Bolt has more riders and drivers.

So in totality, I think Uber is still the best but when it comes to making money, Bolt is king.

Any idea if Bolt has opened their offices?
Bro forget better app. It is all about the Benjamins and good customer service. Opari, Nothing more.

so sorry to hear that. Their indefinite block most probably turns to a 10 year ban and then a permanent block.

I’ll advice you don’t lose hope tho until you visit their office
I ve been in your shoes before, It can be frustrating. I was told something like that too last year my account was block. But I went back on my knees table d matter before Jehovah jireh, they sent me an SMS I should come back for retraining. They unblock my account. Ocar request is slow. It takes hours to get request. Uber is a slavery app. I would advice you get your Bolt account app unblock at all cost.

I’m owing bolt 8k plus. Now I can’t get cash trips.
Please I need there account to pay. I didn’t get their mail. After paying what is the code I need to send to them.
Secondly, I check my balance can’t find the net and commission they remove. I calculated and discovered they are charging about 30% right now. I tried to check my previous weeks balance and transactions, they have removed every thing. What is Bolt try’n to do. I mail them since Monday no respond. Uber just make Bolt de shine. I wish uber can adjust and compete with Bolt by reducing there percentage and allow destination works at all time afterall u only have 2 slots to set destination. I love uber but can’t on it right now cos it’s a total slavery right now. Very low fare and high percentage. Bolt on the other hands are thiefs.
I think say nah only me detect their high commission these days, they charge you 20% on Cash trips and another 20% on the outstanding you are owing (card trips), its really annoying. And all these commissions being are being charged on a low cheap fares. How much will u keep for fuelling, maintainance and other expenses. They should look for into these cos it is not fair. 40% commission is too much.

That 2km radius is just a farce.

I HV had long distant PUs before ( 7km n beyond). I don't go o. I let it slide. Pick up DT rider mite still eventually cancel.

The app just picks d closest driver in DT area ,radius setting or not.
it's not, I have used it so many times. It's works for me. I have had instances of getting request from Apapa whenever am in Marina, Broad street and CMS. After adjusting it from 3KM to 2KM, I stopped getting request from there.

Inside life
This is another reason for block account, drivers needs to take note of, I have never heard they block people for this. Anyway I don't think it is a permanent block. You need to contact Bolt support, so that they can look into your matter. Set the radius on your app to 2KM so that you stop getting request from far distance and try as much as possible to limit client did not show and missed request

It may take a while for things to return to normal. 2021, maybe. Anyone using ehailing platforms to make financial plans or business decision in the next one year should better quash such plans. The hustle is half dead. It may remain this way in the foreseeable future.
there is no corona virus in Nigeria, by next week Buhari will completely lift lockdown and things will return back to normal.

There is no forgiveness with Uber. They are like Satan grin

As for Bolt, they don't care. They won't ban you sef. But your fares will be calculated incorrectly, most of the time grin[/color]
As per Ban. That's why Bolt is number 1 in Nigeria. They control the market. Uber want to be running foreign policies in a country with alot of economic challenges. They think Naija is USA.

This is simple.

If you are living a descent life in your country, why go to Canada to start afresh and be low class.

Why leave your 400k job in Nigeria to go start afresh in Canada, then you start complaining and suffering from low self esteem when you don't make it.

This scam of Nigerian hustling spirit, don't fall for that scam, there are laws and conditions in that place that will depress and supress your so called Nigerian hustling spirit.
you re on point. Lassie baby is everywhere.

Sorry boss, I can imagine, u go don reverse and turn tire today, u r d real MVD, I hope any rider didn't ask for ur account number after trip, that thing can pain on 300 naira trip grin

If drivers have deep knowledge enough, I think its abt time to boycott Uber and pledge loyalty to Bolt, till beta app comes up, then loyalty will shift again. We both need each other to function in this business, with the way bolt is going after debtors, u can tell that they r broke with their poor managerial skills, both riders and drivers don't trust them.
It's a three way thing bro. Driver needs money, Riders needs money and Bolt needs money too. Corona affected all parties involve

Kogi and cross river governors have decided not to believe there is COVID in their states.
I still believe we came to banter war with AK47 with this COVID in nigeria. It is not worth killing our economy over, going by what we've witnessed over the months here since the first case was announced.
I swear down! It isn't worth it at all. If they had enforced another total lockdown, The kind havoc and calamity this dubious government will wreck on the economy, in 2 years time the Nigeria will not recover from it. I guess they ve seen the adverse effect, that is why they decided to retrace their steps.

No think am o, bolt app is not all that secured. Why do you think most bolt riders prefer the cash option. One Rider told me her card is only connected to Uber. She can never try it with bolt. They don do am strong thing before.
it's a Cyber war for market share bro, not Bolt is stealing customers money. Some hackers are paid to carry out that shiiit. Now I think Bolt is more secured now. They have better app version that handles card payment well without hiccups. Talking from experience.

Oga, covid 19 is very real here in Nigeria. I carried a Rider who told me she's lost 4 of her relatives to the virus. 3 outside the country and 1 here. She said it's not a funny experience.

It is not malaria symptoms o. Difficulty in breathing is not a symptom of malaria. The virus is real abeg. Let's take every precaution to avoid it.

I was out today and saw a lot of ehailing drivers without masks with passengers in the back also without masks. Are you guys actively searching for the virus?
grin. We are tired of using mask. We no dey fear Covid19 again. Everyday NCDC will be updating their score board of people who died and recovered. Common malaria symptoms they will say is corona virus. I am beginning to suspect our government. They are cashing out on us bigtime. Nigerian Billionaires donated billions of Naira to FG, IMF gave $3.7 billion dollars to them recently. E.U donated $50 million dollars. Oga Gazz, corona virus is not in Nigeria, they should stop deceiving us. If there is corona virus is in this country the way people will be dying on the streets will be scary. It's all wash. All nah wash. They should sha not kill the economy all in the name of lock down and social distancing. Me I have set out to accomplish big things this 2020.

Forex trading requires high skill and knowledge, it is very volatile and similar to betting. If care is not taken you can lose large chunk of money.
