Traffic light, One way, illegal parking. Those days were really frustrating. I ve seen things in this Lagos state. I can’t remember how many times I ve been to police station writing statements. Nice one. You were programmed and assigned to receive these trips. Its a rotational thing. They rotate it among the drivers. Am beginning to understand more about how ehailing works from my personal experience and some findings online.

One stupid rider wanted to spoil my Friday for me but thank God I got a double compensation.

Started trip after my instinct asked me and fortunately trip was card endes it immediately and I got N500. Rider gave me 12 calls afterwards which I purposely missed.

On a trip to Egbeda this morning my car entered one huge pothole cover with water, my Exhaust pipe don knack ground, bend comot from the hook. As am talking now, is dangling on the road while moving. This is another unforseen expenses for me in this Lockdown period. Avoid some places this raining season.

Though we can't judge with dashboard, but if everyone can average 14k gross daily, I'm sure no one will talk of winter here again.

With my matrix, I can gross 14k with 3k fuel.
Remove it from the gross, then remove 2.8k bolt commission, plus 1k food.
That's 14 - (3+2.8+1) = 7.2k

7.2k into 6days = 43.2k per week.

Regardless, him grossing 14k today is pure luck and we all know that. Cos street keeps looking more dry by the day.

The only point I'm trying to make here is that we may not base our earnings on gross, but it's quite necessary for a better feasibility study.

For those going into rental agreement, 20k delivery is possible, but you might not have up to 5k for yourself after paying rent.

Since I stopped using dashboard earning to measure my performance few years back, I have achieved some success in the business. You have to look beyond dashboard bro. The Business is more than dashboard earnings.

Sure I do... Dem dey knack u Cash trip e dey sweet you, by the time you start paying outstanding thats when you will know how far.

Look at what I earned since May 4th Lockdown was eased till now. I can't boost of 30k in my bank account from this 2months earnings. 20% commission, outstanding debt, Cash Discount, low fares, buying of Fuel, Car repair and maintenance took 80% of the so called earnings. What baffles me most is that you see Big figures on Dashboard, but in reality you actually earn little money. You will be making a big mistake if you judge your performance with dashboard earning.

Well I’ve not been driving actively but I managed to gross 14k today (9am-8:30pm) with breaks in between. 15k is not bad for weekly rentals though.

Hope you re setting money aside to pay outstanding debt, Cos by time you minus fuel money, 20% commission and feeding and data and call cards and other small expenses, nah small portion of 17k will remain. Dashboard earning is not the best way to know how much you actually earn, it is final money in your bank account after expenses, Forget that crap

Took a rider to Alagomeji yesterday and the person she went to see there refused to pick up the phone hence she changed destination back to where I picked her up.

Got back to the place and ride ended at 3800 n she explained to me that she doesnt have enough money since she thought she will meet the person there, I understood so she sent me only 2k n said I should leave a report so the balance will be in her account on her next ride, normal thing. Leave report finish this morning saw uber's response and they are refusing to pay me saying jagons up n down.

I sent a text to the rider notifying her that uber has refused to pay me which means that money wont be put into your account, that I will be heading to her place this morning if need be because I cannot lose on both ends, told uber the exact Same thing that I have contacted the rider politely via text requesting for my money since they have refused to pay me. Meanwhile the rider messed my car up with food n fanta as in really messed my back sit up oo. Even reported my car being messed up by rider and took pictures and sent to them, them say make I send them receipt of cleaners with date corresponding I I de laugh say these people must really think Nigerians dont have hands to clean their own ish.

In other words any uber ride you go on and the person refuses to pay the complete fare make sure you collect your money cos uber seems to not be paying for those kinds of things anymore.

From now on no more being nice to riders at all, before I de pick the ones wey I de de nice to depending on the energy they bring, but from now on no more Mr nice guy.

Picked up two ladies yesterday too, the one that ordered when I got to their street I called her cos the map say I don reach where them de, didnt realize they were just a few meters in front, as I call na so she just de shout one tin one tin and by the time i drove closer to them when she saw the look I gave her immediately I asked her madam why were you chatting shit over the phone? Would I have flew over the cars in front of me to get to your PU location earlier she wan de talk one tin one tin na him I tell am day madam pls just keep quiet meanwhile the one for front don already de beg me say make I no vex. Uber and this their useless policy, One day someone will come and mess up my car with Amala , ewedu and gbegiri, And they will expect me to keep quiet. This is Nigeria not America They are operating stupid policies in a country where people are dirty, mannerless and uncivil
I so much detest riders eating in my car, i don't allow that nonsense. Food particles breeds small Cockroaches and it is very disgusting. And once they start laying eggs in the car, to curtail it with insecticide will be very difficult. Imagine you on a trip with a rider, all of a sudden cockroach comes out on your dashboard dancing Zanku and skelewu or crawling on the riders body. Thats a sign of dirtness and a big fat 1 Star. It could even make you lose a regular offline customer. I keep saying it, BOLT is a perfect ehailing app for Nigeria business environment. You are incontrol of your of business to an extent. For the fact you are paying for my service doesn't give you the right to mess up my Car, it is my office and my duty is always to ensure is clean and other riders can enjoy using it.

Not quite true, bolt is more active in ikorodu than any other app.

I used to get a lot of bolt request from ikorodu but my major challenge are the roads.

Even as late as 11 pm request was sure back then when everywhere still soft.

Been there several times, you hardly get request to come back to proper Lagos. Instead you will get request to inner part of Ikorodu. Owutu isawo, igbogbo, ijede, imota, Agbede, Agbede meeting, odogunyan etc. The road to these places are damaging to cars.

Ikorodu is one hell of a place you go, to get request come out of there becomes a problem. You just have to blow empty to Mile 12 or ketu to continue your work.

Her distance from me was about 500m I then suggested she meets me at the b/s because dlof the bad road, she said "I'm paying for you to pick me up so you've to drive down.
In my mind I was like, another one. I rather face the devil I already meet.

As i Cancel dude's gf request enter sharp!.
