devvy44:For the umpteenth time in your nairaland misadventure, you miss the point! Where is your interpreter? |
KingTom:Tell them. |
KingTom:Lol Barca still has a title chase? Really?? The title is between Athleti and Real. Athleti has 99 percent chance, Real 1 percent. |
jpmoriarti: ![]() Common man don't take it to heart... It's only a joke, just the way you joked about waking up and choosing violence... It's my own sarcastic way of saying that those comments about Messi are so so so ridiculous. But they are your opinions anyway. |
GrammarNazi1:lol |
GrammarNazi1:Yeah. Aguero is world class but injury prone and won't offer more than 2 seasons. The top young strikers like Haaland, Kane and Mbappe are out of reach.. Best we can get is Lautaro or Depay. I don't think we can get any top grade striker. |
jpmoriarti: jpmoriarti: jpmoriarti:I don't think you woke up and chose violence. I think you had too much to drink and probably smoked too many blunts. |
McGg:Even thank God you are hearing of it. If it was during PDP, even if he is an ex to the President's daughter they will still cover it up and we wouldn't hear of it. Never hear. |
helinues:Actually am not looking for history. This current escalation started some days ago. What caused it? Well I might have to research myself. |
Plus5:I understand your concern in this case, the might of Israel overwhelms the other side. But the vital question to ask here is "who is the aggressor" Not "who is more powerful?" It's just like a weaker man who is always looking for a stronger man's trouble. He knows he would be beaten silly but he keeps looking for trouble. I have not been following this latest conflict but what is of more concern to me is "who fired the first shot?" I sincerely pray for a case fire and for a permanent end to the hostilities. Palestinians, Israelies alike; a lot of innocent ones are affected. It's so sad. |
Kreme:it's not a bad thing but going by the antecedents of these governors, after restructuring nothing changes: state governments will become the new FG. State governors will become the new emperors. Your tears will continue. We need serious constitutional amendment before anything like restructuring. |
He is talking shit by saying "State governors should work hard and concentrate on working and making their various states work and they should better the lives of the citizens they govern? He is saying shit for saying "The solutions to our challenges must come from us regardless of what level of government we are"? He is spilling shit for saying "those of us who were elected at all levels of government, we should avoid partisanship and focus to make our immediate surroundings a better place" The politics of hatred and bitterness has turned some of you to something else.... for real! Wailing blindly without thinking 'logically' about a topic, just outright blind wailing! Gone are the days we discuss politics with mature minds on Nairaland. Now, some people have taken over, emphasis on some people .Let's leave it at that. What a pity! @the bolded, Words of a wise man! We posted the below in response to one of our friends here sometime last year. Golden words.....
Lol don't mind these clowns. The never miss an opportunity to exhibit hatred for Buhari. This is another manifest of Buhariphobia. These governors have spent time and resources fighting against Local Government autonomy. They have spent time and resources resisting judiciary independence. They marginalize certain sections of their states; a typical example is rivers state where I live. The governor carries out 80 percent of his projects in 2 out of 27 LGAs. Yet they are crying to FG for restructuring. They only deceive fools not everybody. |
Olatomiwami:Dey there dey decieve yourself with Wike propaganda. Do you know how much loyalty Amaechi still has in Rivers state? It is by the time Wike finishes his tenure in less than 2 years' time that you will realise that even Wike will be deserted by half of the people licking his asss upandan. |
9japride:That word "alleged" is the key word. Any person who does not support their friend or brother over an "alleged" crime is a bad friend and betrayer. |
They have always been the best of buddies, Does this mean that Amaechi and El Rufai have fallen out? |
Up Athleti. |
Athletico 2 Sociedad 0 |
Neimar:How good are Sassuolo this season?Let Juve lose today |
devvy44: |
FirstbornWds:Are you still looking forward to next match? Lol. Everyone should pick a side now! Athletico or Real. |
devvy44:He still doesn't understand. Pls always come on nairaland with an interpreter. |
devvy44: ![]() This guy's intelligence is deep as the breath of a stillborn. My emphasis was on the form of the team since the turn of the new year, not that Barca deserves to win the title. Why do you think analysis are made for a team's last 5 matches? Or last 10 matches? Or points since the turn of a year? Only yesterday on goal.com a certain journalist made an analysis of what the premier league table would look like if it had begun on the day Tuchel was employed and he had Chelsea at 2nd position. Is he insinuating that the EPL should transfer Chelsea to 2nd position? He's only pointing out the form of Chelsea under Tuchel. These are the most basic methods deployed in analyziing the current form of a team. Guy pls stop jumping unto my mentions, your reasoning is just too elementary. |
![]() Ronaldo will be wishing he had gone there instead of Juve so that his fans will be singing "he singlehandedly won them the league after 19 years" ![]() |
If La Liga had started this year Jan 1st, 2021. We would be champions by a margin. This table will look like this; Barcelona 51 points. Real Madrid 42 points. Athletico Madrid 42 points. We lost a lot of points at the beginning of the season; a lot of young new players, a new coach, Messi issues, management issues. This illustrates my point all this time; progress is gradual, there is no magic in it. Time is required to blend and stabilize. We gradually got better but it was a little too late. |
Article from Marca by one Luis Rojo. To a large extend I agree with his submission; The pros and cons of Ronald Koeman's first season at Barcelona The Dutchman's position is now under threat Ronald Koeman, en un partido con el Barcelona. Ronald Koeman, en un partido con el Barcelona.EFE LUIS F. ROJO ADAPTED BY MARCO HOLLOWAY-LEVANTAKIS 12/05/2021 - 11:32 En Español Levante 3-3 Barcelona. Barcelona throw LaLiga Santander away in 45 minutes Levante 3-3 Barcelona. Koeman: I know my Barcelona future is in doubt Barcelona appeared to surrender the LaLiga Santander title to either Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid on Tuesday night after drawing 3-3 against Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia. The Catalan giants took the lead twice only to be pegged back by Paco Lopez's men, who secured their LaLiga Santander status with the point. All eyes are now turning towards Ronald Koeman and whether or not the Dutchman will continue as Barcelona's coach next season, with club president Joan Laporta yet to confirm anything thus far. It's clear that the 58-year-old has struggled during his spell at Barcelona and many of the negatives were seen in Tuesday night's game, with defensive mistakes a constant problem. Putting Sergi Roberto at the centre of defence was a risk that Koeman took and ultimately paid the consequences for, as it cost Barcelona a goal. There is also a distinct lack of team spirit within the Barcelona ranks, a spirit and mental strength that is required to see the team home in games like on Tuesday night. After more than nine months at the helm, there is no doubt that in some respects Koeman has been industrious in his approach. A team on its knees He took charge of a team that was broken mentally after being defeated 8-2 at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League, with captain and star player Lionel Messi submitting a transfer request not long after the Dutchman became coach. Koeman was also in charge of getting rid of Luis Suarez, while he was promised reinforcements that never came. Instead, there was only the 60 million euro signing of Miralem Pjanic, who arrived as part of a deal that saw Arthur Melo go to Juventus as Barcelona fixed their short-term accounts, while Sergino Dest was signed from Ajax to replace Nelson Semedo. Koeman had to make do with the youth setup to bolster his squad, as he called up the likes of Pedri, Oscar Mingueza, Ronald Araujo and Ilaix Moriba. From 4-2-3-1 to 3-5-2 Koeman had to enforce a new formation at Barcelona in the second half of the season, as his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation wasn't working. There's no doubt that Barcelona have improved under the new system, but the damage had appeared to be done after too many points were dropped in the first half of the season. After reverting to a defensive line of three, the team found a good balance and went on to win 51 out of a possible 57 points. Injuries have also been a huge problem at the Camp Nou this season. Ansu Fati has missed the majority of the season due to a recurring knee injury, whilst Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto and Philippe Coutinho have all missed large chunks of the season. Barcelona have constantly shown two faces this season, which hasn't been good enough for the Catalan giants, with their lack of mental strength coming to the fore again in Valencia on Tuesday night, which could ultimately be the demise of Koeman in the upcoming weeks. devvy44:And where did you see "Koeman has to stay?" |
FirstbornWds: ![]() You want to beat an elite team but you are not an elite team yourself! Except you now want to tell me for the sake of this argument; that Pique, Busquets, Griezman, Lenglet, Panic, Braithwaite and co that we've been bashing all season long and asking them to leave have suddenly turned elite footballers again ![]() Even a lot of us did not consider Messi an elite footballer 5 matches into this season, have you forgotten so soon? ![]() For our failures i might ascribe 40 percent maximum to Koeman and the remaining 60 percent must go to the players who have let us down severally with missed sitters, defensive blunders and poor performance levels. Blaming Koeman is akin to taking the easy way out. For the records Barca is so big a club to deserve the best of coaches with proven track records but our failures go way way way beyond Koeman. |
losprince:i do not want Koeman to continue. I am concerned about the focus on Koeman alone. P.S. And how has the squad fallen deeper into rot? It's not like you won a treble last season! You didn't even win a spoon!! At least some "oldies" have been rid of and we have got a couple of good young players that can play for the next 10 years. Despite everything this season is better than last season. |
GrammarNazi1:But Real Madrid and Athleti lost points too. Athleti were 11 points ahead but dropped points to smaller teams. Losing points to smaller teams is part of the game, it doesn't always show weakness or incompetence. Fatigue is sacrosanct, Especially big teams that play in Europe. What matters is the cumulative points at the end of the season. Keeping Messi aside for a second, We have a far inferior squad to both Madrid and Athleti. Simeone has been with Athleti for close to 10 years. That's stability. Zidane has been with Madrid for at least 5 seasons. Koeman is only in his first season. Honestly I think we always mask a bigger problem with Koeman. If we need instant success we don't have to wait for Pedri, Puig, Araujo and co to come good. We must go crazy in the transfer market. |
NoFap123: FirstbornWds:He has consistently held a very unpopular view, with a lot of credence IMO. He's been bullied into submission. Koeman has had his own fucck-ups alright. But this squad needs serious clear offs, grooming and reinforcements. Even a hybrid of Guardiola and Alex Fergusson won't win shiit with this current squad. |
I really think we should focus EQUAL energy on which players to buy during the transfer window and which players to ship off. How much do we even have to buy the Neymar, the Alabas, the Haalands, the Mbappes of this world?. Abi are we going to continue with players like Dest, Lenglet, Roberto, Umtiti and co? Even Messi's future is bleak. This for me is even a bigger problem than Koeman or at least an equally huge problem. Real Madrid are getting Alaba, they have stated courting Pau Torres and Mbappe already. We are just not serious. |
