Truth is, your points are valid but the "likeliness" of those players you refer to as generational talents is still on the edge. Anything could happen and they lose that touch of brilliance, within a jiffy. Of course, you and I know practical examples of players that seemed to be the next best thing but became flops later on.

To me, I believe it's fair to place them within the world-class reach until the next 3-5 years when the known phenomenons are no more.
English Language seems to be the problem here.

Players that have not even shone for good 3 years are already being tagged "generational"

Mbappe has only been the best of his peers for maybe over 2 years only.

What happens if for any reason Mbappe changes club and then flops from 2021 to 2030?

Oga keep mute and stop explaining nonsense. We are talking young players here, so common sense should have told that generational meant young players who would most likely dominate the next generation with what he have seen so far(generational talent not player). Amongst the current young players Mbappe and Haaland are above the others in terms of skill set and talent and would most likely dominate the next generation. Or we should put Messi and Ronaldo in generational bracket when we are talking strictly about young players? For your own good I hope Messi retires, so that you will stop bringing him up in every conversation. The generation of Messi and Ronaldo is sadly coming to an end, the new generation has already started and the comparisons are already being made. We won't wait till 6 or 7 years before we judge them; they will be be judged every week from now till 8/9 years as was the case of Messi and Ronaldo.

Btw, you still haven't answered what Haaland has to do to be world class. Or is Mbappe the only world class young player we have today?
"Most likely dominate the next generation."

The phrase "most likely" already renders your submission worthless as toilet paper.

He has not dominated a generation yet and that is why you are using the phrase "most likely"
His generation has not gotten to the top yet.

By the time they do, then their era begins.

As for Halaand, what is the special achievement he has made?
He scored goals for 2 seasons like Immobile and he's world class already?
He's on his way to be world class but let him do it for 4 or 5 seasons consistently.

Mbappe already has more goals, more assist than Messi at the same age, won a world cup being an integral member of team, scored in a world cup final at 19, completely dominated your GOAT in his own stadium, 3rd all time top scorer of PSG and is still 22. He is generational. And what should Haaland do to be called world class?
Before You start disgracing yourself open your dictionary and check the meaning of a generational player.

Everything you posted in thrash post up there does not define a generational player.

"A generational player is one who completely dominates his generation"

Which generation has Mbappe dominated?

Have Messi and Ronaldo allowed anybody else to dominate this generation?

The generation of the likes of Mbappe, Dembele, Fati, Pedri, Asensio, Rashford, Haaland and co will only be judged by the next 6 or 7 years, not now.

If Mbappe plays at this level till maybe year 2030, then he would most likely have dominated the post Messi/Ronaldo era.

Athletico if they mess around, could find themselves level with Barca and Madrid in 2 weeks time.

Even reading through comments earlier I read where someone was comparing supporting clubs to supporting country as the same, saying it's hypocritical to support a foreign club and claim one can't support a foreign country and I'm like how??

I mean we choose our clubs, but we don't choose our country. Our country chose us, some comparing those two is just way way off. They is a reason one can play for 1000 different clubs in different country and nobody will raise an eyelid, but a player is officially meant to play for one country (weda he likes it or not). Comparing those two just to give an excuse why you should support another country over your own country is one of the lowest low in support of something. Like you said, if messi was a Cameroonian or Ghanian, they would even support his country at afcon over Nigeria and another silly ready made excuse would be available

1. Let it be known, In a head to head football match involving the Super Eagles and any other Nation; it would be 1 million percent support for the Super Eagles.

2. In a competition involving the Super Eagles and 31 other Nations, there are opportunities to support 2, 3, or even 4 of your favourite footballing Nations.
(Your motherland might not necessarily be your favourite footballing nation).

One might support the Super Eagles and still support Argentina, Portugal, Brazil or any other side you wish.

They are not mutually exclusive events. Until they meet in the competition.

Thunder fire any lying Ronaldo stan boy who would coman and claim that they did not wish that Portugal and Ronaldo won the world cup in 2018, while still supporting their motherland.

Someone crossed me, I don't know what it was.

It defends Levante's southern goal

The ghost that Atletico Madrid crashed into:

Someone crossed me, I don't know what it was

Atletico Madrid stumble at Levante
Oblak to Correa's rescue

Levante fans called it the 'White Lady' and there is a genuine belief that a ghost defends the southern goal at the Ciutat de Valencia.

This is the goal where Angel Correa made one of the most notorious blunders in LaLiga Santander on Wednesday.

The Atletico Madrid forward was only three metres away from the goal, had the goalkeeper beaten and somehow fired the ball over the crossbar.

It was Duda back in 2005 who also made a similar mistake at the same end, and he was adamant that some form of force had crossed his path.
"Someone crossed me, I don't know what it was, but it's what I saw at that moment," Duda explained.

Shortly after that, Levante explained that back in 2003 four supporters died in a car accident whilst travelling to watch their team, and their ashes were scattered around the goal of the southern end.

You need to watch that miss by Correa to better appreciate the humour in this.

1.The following players should be retained.

Ter Stagen
Dest
Araujo
Mingueza
De Jong
Fati
Griezman
Dembele
Pedri

2. There is no money but;
* We need 2 World Class centre backs between 24 and 27 years old.
* We need 1 World Class striker between 23 and 27 years old.
* We need 1 World Class DM between 24 and 27 years old.

The following have got to go; must go in June.

Messi
Alba
Busquets
Pique
Umtiti

Another again which we already know:

When the scoreline was still equal in the first half till the 38th minute, Pique tried to urge our players into action but he met resistance from the arrogant Griezmann.

I'm sorry but I think he is arrogant.

Trying to urge them into action was, however, not as important as having fit defenders available for the match, for example.

I mean Pique just walked into the team all the way from a three month injury!

Does this not show that the club are in a shambles?

In addition, Griezmann had some opportunities that he blew. How about Dembele? He kept passing comfortably to opponents! Jeez!

cheesy cheesy cheesy

Dest too. Did he not walk back straight into the team from injury recovery?

How about our coach who decided to substitute when it was already too late as if the players he substituted in were magicians!

Dembele is not Barcelona quality.

Griezmann is not Barcelona quality.

If there is no quality at the back, the quality in front should compensate. But in our case, no quality in front.

I mean Dembele can't TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORNS. GRIEZMANN CANNOT, TOO.

VERY MEDIOCRE PUSSIES!
The starting of Pique and Dest actually shocked me but then I hoped for the best.

I wonder why Griezman took Pique's words personally.

He's the idiot who should have made it 2-0 but he decided to play like they tied his legs from his grandmother's village.

We have seen players who possess those 4’s and were even considered to be the next Messi/Ronaldo, but they never made it, due to how fragile they were mentally

Like I said you’re contradicting yourself

You're being ridiculous!

The level of myopia in your argument is mind boggling.

The fact that i said that Barca needs a mix of strength, power and size; does that in any way mean that every single big, strong and athletic player in the world is a genius or is good?

This your kind argument na wa ooh

You're just picking players here and there, forgetting or ducking the fact they there are many other players like Adama Traores who have been excellent.

Besides what’s your definition of strong and energetic, because you’re just contradicting yourself
You Just keep bringing up some random one off examples.

In a one off situation even Enyimba could beat Bayern on their day.

We are talking what it takes a top team to maintain a level of consistency, not necessarily 100 percent; nothing is absolute.

But at least 89 percent.

Football is a sport. In today's football skill alone cannot guarantee any team consistent success.

The 4 S's.
*Skill.
*Speed.
*Stamina.
*Strength.

A team needs a perfect blend of the above.

I need not tell you that the teams of Liverpool, Madrid and Bayern that have dominated Europe the past 7 years have a perfect mix of these characteristics.

Our players have a high skill level and a fairly good level of speed, but poor in stamina and strength.

That is why we can't compete anymore against top level opposition.
