jpmoriarti: At this time, we can take anything once he can kick a ball I usually defend the board but they are squarely to blame for this whole situation, leaving the squad too short and on a brink. We are just an injury to a key player away to a collapse But I think we started the season okay. Nobody predicted that Suarez would have a lengthy lay off. And the board tried to have patience with Dembele but it backfired. We entered the 19/20 season with Suarez, Dembele, Messi, Griezman, Fati and Perez. Good enuff if you ask me. The error was in the board putting much trust in Dembele's legs and not replacing Suarez during the winter transfer window. |

LaMujer: Official: Barcelona sign Martin Braithwaite
Martin Braithwaite has completed his move to Barcelona after the Catalan club paid the Danish forward's 18 million euro release clause to Leganes.
Braithwaite has penned a contract that will last until June 30, 2024, while his new release clause will be 300 million euros.
Following weeks of failed pursuits, Barcelona have finally brought in a forward to cover the injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele, as well as the departure of Carles Perez.
In January, Barcelona rejected the idea of bringing in a striker, but the injury to Dembele forced their hand.
LaLiga gave the club permission to sign a replacement for Dembele outside of the transfer window on Monday, once it was confirmed that the Frenchman will miss the six months of action.
Willian Jose was Barcelona's top target, yet they could not reach an agreement with Real Sociedad.
Then there was Angel Rodriguez, with Barcelona having struck a pre-agreement with Getafe for his arrival, but critical voices at the Camp Nou about his age - he's 32 - led to the Blaugrana looking elsewhere.
Finally, Braithwaite is the man Barcelona have been able to bring to the club. The 28-year-old has played in 27 games across LaLiga Santander and the Copa del Rey for Leganes this season, scoring a total of eight goals.
Braithwaite is versatile, a characteristic that has been key for Quique Setien's Barcelona: he can play as a central striker, as an attacking midfielder or as a left winger.
This versatility is what caused Setien to push for Braithwaite's arrival.
The forward has a lot of experience, having also played in Denmark, France and England. Abeg someone should post Braithwaite's highlights. Seen a bit of him play live and I think he's not bad. Name sounding like someone that invented something. |

People still don't understand the level of disgrace that happened at Anfield. Athletico won't go down like that at Anfield. I said it before and I say it again; I see Athletico upsetting Liverpool and going through. Worst case scenario however is a 3-1 Liverpool victory, never anything like 4-0 or 3-0. The likes of Costa, Felix and Giminez returning. |

Jokerman: What does CR7 have more assists than Messi in the UCL? Although we do not know why you have restricted your question to the UCL since we know that Messi has around 50 career assists more than Ronaldo. But the answer is simple. Ronaldo has more UCL Assists than Messi because he has played more matches. Simple! Ronaldo has 39 assists in 168 matches; making it 0.232 Assist per Match. Messi has 33 Assists in only 140 matches; making it 0.236 Assist per Match. So technically Messi has a superior Assist per Match played in the UCL. |

A big club like Barcelona should have been prepared for all possibilities instead of having just 3 fit attacking players with one of them being a broiler starter (Ansu Fati). Its poor from Barcelona but then so far the guy go ball, why not if not. Messi Suarez Dembele Griezman Fati Perez We started the season with 6 attacking players. |

LaMujer: Ali Dursun, the agent of Leganes forward Martin Braithwaite, is believed to be in the city of Barcelona to negotiate the player's transfer to Barcelona to replace Ousmane Dembele.
Given the length of Dembele's injury, Barcelona have been granted permission to make an emergency signing and Braithwaite is the player they're currently looking at.
That was reported by Mundo Deportivo earlier on Monday, before RAC1 broke the news of the player's agent being in the Catalan capital.
Dursun has worked with the Blaugrana before, as he is also the agent of Frenkie de Jong.
Barcelona have 15 days to sign a player, but they want somebody sooner rather than later so that they can start working with Quique Setien and so that they can be available for the weekend's match against Eibar.
At Leganes, they will only let the 28-year-old player depart if his release clause of 20 million euros is paid.
If the Braithwaite option doesn't come to fruition then Barcelona know they also have the possibility of signing Angel Rodriguez from Getafe and Los Azulones may even be willing to negotiate on the terms of the transfer for the striker who has a release clause of 10m euros. Make dem complete the signing Sharp Sharp abeg. No time. UCL don come.. |

FirstbornWds: Lol you even placed Delima Zidane and CR7 above the real GOAT.
I can see through your list now and know your original agenda.
Still, I maintain that the greatest to ever kick the round leather is Messi.
I mean, even Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo and Diho weren't always themselves every day. But you see Messi... He always all of that
If he's not scoring (Pele, Ronaldo and Maradona), he will entertain (Ronaldiho, Neymar, Hazard)
If he's not entertaining ( Diho), he's throwing critical passes (Xavi, Fabregas, Ozil, Iniesta)
If he's not throwing passes, he's creating chances ( Iniesta, Kroos, Modric, KDB, Suarez, Dani Alves)
If he's not creating chances, he is regulating formation from the midfield(Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas)
If he's not doing that, he is scoring goals.
And if any of these is not happening, then know he's not playing football
Please... What else is the definition of a complete, all-round player.?
As far as football is concerned, there are two kinds of players, - Messi and the others.
Respect man, Respect. You have time sha! Take a look at his post, Then look a little above, at his moniker, Do they not match? |

LaMujer: Call a spade a spade. Paying of release clause is Bully. Knowing fully well the club won't negotiate, you pay the release clause. As a result, the club are forced to sell. That's bully. And yes, PSG bullied us as regards Neymar. They refused to sell Veratti and Rabiot and then took away Neymar, if that isn't bully, i wonder what else is.
No club is willing to sell their striker knowing fully well they won't get a replacement, we then want to get a Leganes team's, currently 19th on the table and fighting for survival, highest scoring striker. Leganes have scored 18 goals, and he alone has 6 goals. take that away and they are bottom of the league Choi You are spot on.. I com dey pity them. |
