La liga is a 2/3 horse race, that is 1000% correct. Meanwhile why shouldn't it be with regards to the current table? You would have had a solid point if spurs is in first 3 on epl table, because that would definitely show how poor epl is, at present. Man city , arsenal and even leicester are not doing badly in ucl, spurs at the moment are having bad time. Their poor run recently in epl, is a confirmation and definitely reflectiing in ucl. So you had no point to relegate epl's quality on that basis.

maybe the trio of barca, real, and athletico are way superior to the remaining 17 LA liga teams. But I tell you solemnly, if barca, real and athletico were infused into the EPL, the EPL title would become a 3 horse race between guess who! barca, madrid and athletico of course. Chelsea, Man u and Man city would only fight to play Thursday night football.

Over the years I have always distinguished between the best player and the most valuable player. I also believe that the FIFA ballon dor is an award given to THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER, subconsciously though. A lot of folks use them interchangeably but they mean different things.The best player is the best while the most valuable player is the one who achieves the most honours, both individual and team awards. Quite frankly messi has been the best player in the world since 2009 till this very minute, every real fan knows this. But he hasn't always been the most valuable player. I think the most valuable player this year is ronaldo, because he won the euros and the champions league, and a sizeable number of goals to go with. The only problem is with his Portuguese compatriots and his real Madrid 'slaves' who keep trying to patronize him about the ballon dor every time they want to keep him happy and 'assure' him he is better than messi.
