What do I call them now? Wailers? Tanoids? Hypocrites? Fools? Before the trip, they all could have sworn on their dead grandparents' graves that the visit was wholly about gay rights. Now the amiable PMB bluntly turned that down. Indeed if we go with what the wailing wailers thought, that the visit was indirectly about gay marriage, should the wailers not expect the white house to be mad at PMB for turning down gay rights in Nigeria? Should the wailers not be praising and commending PMB instead of jumping at this article to 'masturbate' on issues which they were so sure weren't PMB's real reasons for going to the USA? No Aso Rock vacancy till 2023. |

In fact, sometimes we send the files to the SCIID (Police) for more discrete investigations. However, I know the instant case will be treated with urgency. We have such files whereby we are warned that the Govt has interest. When we are assigned with such files, we set aside every other thing and handle them first. ok. I get it. |

Yevgeny: Mr Buhari pant sniffer,
Nigeria is not polio free. We are close but not totally free yet
http://www.polioeradication.org/dataandmonitoring/poliothisweek.aspx
NIGERIA
No new wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) cases were reported in the past week. No cases have been reported in 2015. Nigeria’s total WPV1 case count for 2014 remains 6. The most recent case had onset of paralysis on 24 July 2014 in Sumaila Local Government Area (LGA), southern Kano state. No new cases of type 2 circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV2) cases were reported in the past week. The most recent case had onset of paralysis in Kwali Local Government Area (LGA), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, with onset of paralysis on 16 May; this is the only cVDPV2 case reported in Nigeria in 2015. 24 July 2015 will mark 12 months since the last reported case due to wild poliovirus in Nigeria had onset of paralysis (the full 12-month data is pending final laboratory classification from all environmental samples and acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) cases, collected up until 24 July 2015. Results are expected by September). This progress is thanks to the hard work of the Nigerian government, partners, religious and community leaders, and health workers. While Nigeria is closer than ever to ending polio, the job is not yet finished. At least two more years must pass without a case of wild poliovirus for Nigeria to be certified polio-free along with the rest of the WHO's African region. To achieve this goal, Nigeria and all countries in the African region must maintain high-quality surveillance for poliovirus and vaccination campaigns, particularly in hard-to-reach and insecure areas, and improve routine immunization. At the same time, efforts are ongoing to rapidly stop a cVDPV2 outbreak affecting the country, with aggressive outbreak response using trivalent OPV being implemented in the affected and high-risk areas. - See more at: http://www.polioeradication.org/dataandmonitoring/poliothisweek.aspx#sthash.3hYWBoxh.dpuf my brother, can't you see that they are pretending not to see your information? The problem is that the date March 28th has refused to leave their minds! |

christinie: Let me educate you guys on what happens to files when they are sent from the Police to the Ministry of Justice. 1. The file is sent to the Ministry of Justice by the Police to the Attorney General's office. 2. The A.G looks into the file to see which Department the file should go to. (in the instant case the file should go to the Department of Public Prosecutions (D.P.P.)). 3. The Director of Public Prosecutions will peruse the file and assign to a Counsel, giving him about a week to write a legal opinion. 4. The counsel writes the opinion. Sometimes he has other pending opinions to write so it might take him two weeks to submit. In the instant case the counsel will be warned to keep to time as the President has interest in the matter. 5. When the counsel is done with the writing of the opinion, he submits it on the table of the Chief Litigation Officer. 6. The Chief Litigation Officer takes the file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. 7. The Director of Public prosecution reads the opinion of the counsel, and thereafter assigns it through the Chief Litigation officer to another counsel (most times a senior to the 1st counsel) for his perusal and vetting giving him a week to vet. 8.The counsel takes about a week, sometimes two weeks (depending on his work load and his attitude towards work) to vet. 9. The counsel sends the file to the office of the Chief Litigation Officer for submission, after vetting. 10. The Chief Litigation officer sends the file back to the office of the Director of public Prosecutions. 11. The Director sends it to another counsel (mostly a Chief Counsel) for re-vetting after which he submits to the Chief Litigation officer who in turn submits to the D.P.P. 12. The D.P.P assigns the file to an Assistant Director for review within a week. The Assistant Director reviews within a week or 2weeks and sends the file to the Office of the Chief Lit. Officer for submission. 13. The Chief Lit. Officer sends the file back to DPP. 14. The DPP sits down to study all the opinions and adopts the ones he wants to adopt and criticise the ones he disagrees with. He might even end up not adopting any of the opinions but have a different opinion entirely. (mind you all the opinions must be backed with authorities, that is cases and (or) Sections of the Law. 15. The DPP sends the file back to the office of the A.G. 16. The A.G uses his discretion to either adopt or oppose the Legal Opinion. His decision is final. He sends the file back to the DPP. The DPP assigns the file to a counsel to draft a legal advice based on the DPP's Legal Opinion or the A.G's opinion if the A.G has a contrary Opinion. 17. When the counsel is done with the Legal Advice, he sends it back to the DPP through the Chief Lit. Officer. 18. The Director corrects the Legal advice and sends it back to the counsel to effect the corrections after which he signs the Legal advice and dispatch to the Police. 19. The Police cannot charge the suspect to a High Court without an Information which must be written by the Office of the DPP. 20. The DPP assigns a counsel to draft the information based on the recommendations of the DPP or AG in the Legal Opinion. 21. When the Counsel returns the Information to the DPP through the Chief Lit. Officer, the DPP re-assigns the Information (charge sheet) to another counsel for vetting. When the Director approves the Information, he signs and sends back to the Chief Litigation Officer for filing. 22. The information will be filed and the Defence Counsel is to be served with a copy by a court bailiff. The above listed procedure can take 4 months to complete. Sometimes information is not filed till after a year (though the judges seriously frown at that and can grant a suspect who is in prison custody bail for lack of filing of information by the Govt counsel except in capital offences or very serious offences though bail can still be given in special circumstances). My dear fellow Nairalanders, especially APC supporters, don't rejoice yet. The journey has just begun. It is well!!! Kikikikikikikikikikikikikikiki! quite a tedious process. But I didn't see any place in your write up where it is mandatory to take up to 4 months lawfully or constitutionally. So dear, I think if the president is actually an interested party like people say, he can get them justice guys to do it within a month or less. Like I said that's if the president is interested in the case, especially if he's against Saraki. |

Earthwide: "wow Karma just caught them" please follow me read this..
By Festus Yinka
Few years back, In the heat of our politicking, some opposition politicians in APC (one of them is a Governor now) were sending false information to the international community about the Nigerian army.
They sent videos of Boko Haram members wearing army uniforms and beheading innocent civilians and the they claimed they were members of the Nigeria armed forces killing innocent civilians. They sent some to amnesty international, thinking they were fighting Jonathan.
Some youths in Yobe beheaded an innocent operative of DSS while those of Bornu were wearing t-shirts with inscriptions like "I love Boko haram". They refused to support the military, they were supporting their brothers. The northern elites weren't left out as they openly and covertly gave support to boko haram thinking it will further their desire to take back the presidency.
Jonathan was confused but tried to be calm.
The Bornu elders brought all sort of charges against the military and Ihejirika while they were shielding boko haram and in fact a leading northern leader once said killing boko haram fighters was injustice to the North.
Petitions fell upon petitions at Amnesty international from the Northern elements. To them, they were doing politics. Jonathan must go and it doesn't matter how we do it, power must just return to the North.
Our military was accused of human rights abuses by Amnesty International while boko haram continues to unleash terror. The military lost credibility and some of our army chiefs were threatened with prosecutions of war crime while no one asks Shekau why he is killing.
United States and her allies were compelled by a particular Leahy law not to sell sophisticated weapons to militaries with human rights abuse tags like the current Nigerian army.
All efforts by the Jonathan administration to lobby US and UK governments to sell weapons to Nigerian military fell on deaf ears while boko haram continued its killing spree in the face of our poorly armed military.
And Jonathan looked eastwards after the south African mess (also courtesy opposition politicians) and found help in China, Parkistan and Russia. But time was against him. The elections are close, the deed is done. The clueless, weak and corrupt tag stuck on him. He was labelled a failure for not being able to protect his citizens. That's politics.
He got the weapons, shifted elections by six weeks amidst all sort of mischievous allegations and the military found its rhythm and in six weeks, boko haram fell and it's armies were chased tail in legs out of sambisa forest.
And he lost the elections despite that.
Now, those who destroyed the Nigerian military in the name of politics have taken over the government. Boko haram is back in full force and those who promised to lead from the front are no where to be found.
Boko haram have been able to regroup and now controls five local governments again and our press who were very active in spreading boko haram gospel back then are suddenly quiet. It was all about Jonathan before now.
The citizens now watch helplessly as the killings continue and those who have the courage to ask questions are labelled as unpatriotic by the idol worshippers who worships men like gods.
The APC led government delegation was in America but to the surprise of some, America bluntly refused to go into arms deal with Nigeria. Those who blackmailed the Nigerian army and accused them of human rights abuses are now the ones begging US to sell arms to them.
And like I wrote yesterday that "those who intend to live in glass houses should not throw stone from their mud houses because karma is a bitch, she respects no one" ----------
Personally, I urge those that created this mess to clean it up. You propagandists that allowed GEJ-hate make you sabotage your own country, please, clean up your mess, I'm not going to clean it up for you, I'm not going to help clean it up for you. Label me whatever you wish, I have no issues with it, just CLEAN YOUR MESS! You are now complaining about Leahy Law ? Drag your stupid asses to China and Russia for crissake and stop spoiling our already spoilt name further. Trust me, that last thing you need is U.S. fighting you. Unfortunately, you have started the diplomatic row by blackmailing them on their own soil. No no no no, you made a grave mistake there
These fellows below are the people they deemed fit to represent Nigeria on the U.S. trip, no wonder it failed! Them dey talk say you no get sabitikate, na him you carry a rumored 419ner and another rumored sabitikateless clown follow body. Just look at them! No photoshop, them be like this! Tufiakwa! I don't know between una brainlessness, 419ness, bad human rights record and worworness which drove Obama out off the U.S. But the guy had to escape for his dear life. https://www.facebook.com/radiobiafra/posts/463133457201311:0 fooool.. Even if you like write the next letter letter Saint Paul to the apostles. Jonathan was clueless, incompetent and corrupt in office and that's why he was booted back to otuoke. |

It's buhari's prerogative to choose the limit of his probe. There's not a thing wrong if he decides to probe the immediate regime that handed over to him. That is logic (common sense again). That's never witch-hunting. Infact the witch - hunting would be when he decides to extend it beyond the people who handed over to him. Even in our simple day to day lives, in our work places when a supervisor hands over to a new supervisor, he surely must study the hand over from his predecessor but when the new supervisor begins to ransack older notes, they will tell him what are you looking for? That's the actual witch-hunt. |
