Politics / Re: Elections More Appropriate For Change Of Govt, Not “revolution’’ – Presidency by deafeyez: 3:55am On Aug 05, 2019
murecool:
STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

ELECTIONS MORE APPROPRIATE FOR CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT, NOT “REVOLUTION’’ – PRESIDENCY TELLS GROUP

Following calls circulating on social and digital media, an organisation that calls itself the “Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria” plans a “revolution” march tomorrow, Monday 5th August, with the aim of bringing “regime change” in Nigeria without recourse to a nationwide vote.
The President of Nigeria and his administration respect and uphold the right of every Nigerian to peaceful protest and civil campaign– whether to raise awareness on issues, and even oppose the government. It is the inalienable right of all citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to do so.

There is, however, a difference between peaceful call to protest and incitement for a revolution.

The organisation championing this planned action is not fronted by any serious public faces. We call on the sponsors and organisers to have the decency to come forward and make their identity known – out of respect to all Nigerians - so that Nigerians can be fully aware in whose name this “revolution” is being proposed and who the beneficiaries may be.

Less than six months ago, Nigeria held simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections. Both contests were won resoundingly by President Muhammadu Buhari and his All-Progressives Congress party. The campaign was observed, and results were confirmed by international election monitoring groups and observers. The result was even contested by the losing presidential candidate and his party in Court.

The ballot box is the only constitutional means of changing government and a president in Nigeria. The days of coups and revolutions are over.

Those making the “revolution’’ call hide behind the veil of social media modernity. But without revealing the identity of their sponsors this shadowy campaign is no better, and no more democratic, than the days of old.

The President calls on all those who seek to use and hide behind everyday citizens to attain power through undemocratic and violent means, which has been alluded, to come out clearly and be identified. They should lead their march in person. Only then will they begin to have the right to call themselves leaders before the people of Nigeria.

Made $11,730.86 in the month of June

Apparently, I surpassed even my own estimation for June. The ACX payment invoice just came out today and apparently, I made $6256.5 from Audiobook sales (instead of my estimated $5085). This means that my total earnings from publishing last month was over $11,700. Words can't explain how I feel at the moment..it's incredible

Income breakdown

KDP (ebook + KENP) = $1447.62
KDP Paperback Sales = $4026.74
Audiobook Sales = $6256.50

Total Earnings = $11,730.86 (N4.22 million)

This is quite frankly the most I've made in a month so far. It also means I've surpassed $74,000 (N26.6 million) in total earnings so far in 2019

Will this motivate you to get started? I don't know what else you're waiting for

I started this business a little over 2 years ago and it has completely surpassed all my expectations. My assets continue to make money for me 24/7 round the clock whether I'm there or not. Tell me another business model that beats that

If I can achieve this, you can...you just have to get started and never give up!

The way you quote the millions eh hmnmmnnn

Grace to you sha.

This is nonsense. Dino Melaye should be made swallow his words. Is it the Bible that elected him as senator or was he sworn in as a senator under the laws of the Bible?

This is among the nonsense that is tearing this country apart. People putting their religion and religious belief before Nigeria whose law(s) they live under.

They fail to know the laws of Nigeria affects them more than the law of religion.

Until religion is separated entirely from the affairs of state and until people like Dino who make such blasphemous statement against the Nigerian state, are made to face the short end of the Nigerian law, this country will never more forward.

Hmmmm

Maybe because the N law has no effect.

You and your lot have tried to divide the house of God. Only the pastor and that lady really can tell what happened between them.
She said her own part of the story after how many years?
Pastors are not God but since a President is not God and you respects him, respect the mouth piece of God, pastors.
I am not stopping the victim to pursue justice and I am not stopping the man of God to own up and accept if he did but since he said he didn't I cannot believe one side of a story.

Break which church? If I may ask you, what is church? Some say it a building for praying to God.To me,the church is when two or more are gathered anywhere in the name of God.To praise and honour him.LISTEN, its not wrong to call out someone who is not doing it right in the gathering whether the GO or congregants. CRIME IS CRIME no Mather who committed it.This is exactly why pastors steal tithe boastfully and no one will point it out.TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED always covers them. This immunity has made everyone want to become GO just like a political position in Africa. ARE WE TRULY HELPING THE CHURCH? How do we innovate in this continent with this mentality. Everything is so rigid.Every crime is punishable according to positions. Do not shut people out claiming the church or political affiliations. CRIME IS CRIME, LAW IS LAW, PUNISHABLE OFFENCE SHOULD BE PUNISHABLE TO ALL. NO TIME IS TOO LATE FOR CRIME TO BE REPORTED. LETS NOT SHUT PEOPLE OUT WHEN THEY WANT TO TELL THEIR TRUTH OR LIES. If Busola was lying, let her as well get punished for false accusation.

What have you ended up saying.

If you are so masculine and has force, why haven't you channeled it to the government of the day watching her citizens killed.
A pastor raped you 18years ago yet you attended his church even after the rape?
Only to come out now to spew nonsense and then what? Why didn't she head to the court.
I don't care care your definition of Church but if you are one of those sabotaging the men of God, and her Churches better withdraw yourself Because God will soon punish you.
If she have evidence let her go to court. If the man of God is found guilty he will be punished if no evidence then she should hold her piece.

He said so much, but ended up saying nothing. The post is filled with so much emotions than logic. First, you raised an alarm that there are armed gunmen in front of your house. Some of us were wise enough to know they can't be gunmen. Now, they were armed policemen with shabby looks. Were you expecting the police to visit you without arms?

That said, if you were forced to sign documents: why not call on your lawyer to be present before that? The police already know you to be a celebrity, so I don't expect a fowl play. Stop the media trial 'cause it's obvious this post is to tarnish the man's already tarnished image.

Dakolo, if you and your family are being used by some elements in Nigeria to break the Church, then your cup will full soon.

From Monday till Friday police did not come to your house. They came on Saturday and you are disturbing the whole social media to keep many people from going to service this morning, your downfall is near.
The wife of the President raised an alarm for a rape of 18 years without enough fact.
All the agenda by some elements in this country will backfire.
God I know is always a million step ahead of anyone in the world.
The parties to this act must surely be rewarded, that I know.

If you do things the right way, you won't need a VPN to access any account.

People only use VPN when they want to hide...like I said before, sooner or later Amazon finds out and terminated their account. You do not need a VPN to operate your ACX account when things are done correctly

You are right sir.

I just registered for ACX with success. I have filled my tax info with my real names choosing US. It has been validated. All thanks to you.

Hoping to start publishing soon.

How To Raise Money For Publishing

If you're a complete newbie and you're interested in building your publishing empire but you don't have the money to get started, doing the below can help.

1. Freelancing

You can open an account on Fiverr and render services in exchange for payment. You could help people prepare their CV, proofread peoples work, write web/blog articles, design book covers etc. The list is pretty much endless. Aim to deliver so much value to your clients that they will be more than happy to give you a good review which will help boost your credibility and get more clients.

2. Selling old books/gadgets etc

If you have any old gadget lying around the house, you could sell it and save up the money

3. Become a tutor

If you're good in any subject, you can start a small tutorial business where people come to your house to learn and in exchange, they pay a monthly fee. You can also tutor people on how to do their makeup, how to bake etc.

4. Online Paid Surveys

You can perhaps participate in online paid surveys where you earn money for helping companies conduct surveys. These companies get to learn about ways to improve their products etc and you get paid money

This is not an exhaustive list. You just have to be creative and find out ways to earn money and save enough to then invest into a much more scalable business like publishing

Disregard The Above Advice By suxes2005.

PLEASE PUT MOST OF YOUR EFFORTS ON NONFICTION
My teaching on this thread is not based on luck or hearsay. I published my first book in June 2012 though I started gathering materials from November 2011. I've personally uploaded over 100 books (for myself n others). From personal experience, d experience of people around me, d books I've read n videos watched, nonfiction is d best category for anyone who wants regular kindle income.
I have said it previously. Fiction has a very high failure rate n d competition is high.
With nonfiction, you can find niches where you can publish books that will keep selling for years. Some of my last year's books have sold 300 to 500 copies so far this year n they will continue selling in d coming years becos they are in evergreen niches.

Morning Sir
Please can you give a niche to write on in non fiction. I have food recipe but then I need another.
Thank you for the help over the years.

Their tax is waved off but they pay Amazon 30% commission. And this is why I will leave Nigeria soon. Because Nigerians pay extra 30%.

Amazon doesn't take any such commission.

Each time your book is sold, you earn a certain percentage in royalty. This royalty amount is accumulated and at the end of the month,
if for e.g you made $100 for the month, Amazon will then deduct $30 and send you the remaining $70. It's as simple as that

Of course you may pay commission to withdraw that fund from Payoneer to your local bank account...that's just the cost of doing business.

When my money is converted from dollar to pounds I lose a small percentage in FX commission...there's nothing I can do about it.

If amazon takes $30 of $100 then they have taken 30% because they are going to take $2550 if one earns $8500 at the end of the month. Then they will also deduct 30% for tax which make it 60%.
