When a Muslim prays or thanks God he does so in the same fashion and from that was taught to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and all of the previous Prophets of God (may peace be upon them all). “Ok, yea these verses speak of Jesus and the other Prophets prostrating themselves in prayer but we still don't know the exact details on how they prostrated and/or if they did so in the same manner as Muslims do today?”

However, using common sense I would have to challenge anyone to give an example of how any of these Prophets could have "fell on their face" i.e. prostrated in any other position than the way Muslims do... check out the first picture uploaded

Again, I think this question can be answered with simple reasoning. If a person acknowledges someone as God's chosen Prophet, then wouldn't you think intuitively that the way in which that Prophet prayed would be the best example for all of mankind to follow.

And if a true follower and believer of that Prophet doesn't adapt to the way in which that Prophet worships then how can anyone justify that this Prophet was sent from God to guide Mankind in the first place, yet not even worship God in a like manner? The Prophets are supposed to be the ideal examples on how to live one's life on Earth.

Many Christians who convert to Islam today testify that they are now better "Christians" for doing so. The word "Christian" simply means "a follower of Christ" or "Christ-ian". So how are these people who are now professing Muslims claiming to be closer follower's of Jesus.

Let's think about this logically by examining what the Bible says of Jesus. For example, if we read the gospels we will see accounts of Jesus where he prayed with his face to the ground, greeted his fellow believers with expressions of peace, and fasted for lengthy amounts of time.

Now honestly ask yourself, who truly follows Jesus' example today? As you may know, Muslims pray humbly with their forehead touching the ground at least five times a day...Also, Muslims always greet each other with the phrase "Peace be upon you" as mentioned in the previous section...and further more just as Jesus fasted for 40 days in the wilderness Muslims fast for an entire month during the month of Ramadan.

Indeed many former Christians acknowledge that they were Muslims in every sense of the word before discovering the confirmation of their natural beliefs within the text of the Qur'an. You see mankind's disposition of monotheism is inseparable from the human psyche. This innate phenomena in Islam is termed "Al-fitra."
"Now have We caused the Word to reach them themselves, in order that they may receive admonition. Those to whom We sent the Book before this,- they do believe in this (revelation): And when it is recited to them, they say: "We believe therein, for it is the Truth from our Lord: indeed we have been Muslims (bowing to Allah.s Will) from before this. Twice will they be given their reward, for that they have persevered, that they avert Evil with Good, and that they spend (in charity) out of what We have given them." – Qur’an English Translation [28:51-54]





To Pray as an a Ancient Jew

In this book the author put diagrams showing the movement and positions during the prayer. It is also interesting to learn from this book that the prayers of the Jews involve wash before the prayers, (like Wuduu or ablution for Muslims), and the call for Prayers (like the Azan for the Muslims).

When Umm Salamah told him of a church that she had seen in Ethiopia and the images therein, he said: “Those people, if a righteous man among them died, they would build a place of worship over his grave. They are the most evil of people before Allaah.” And it was narrated from Ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among the most evil of people upon whom the Hour will come when they are still alive are those who take graves as places of worship.” Narrated by Imam Ahmad with a jayyid isnaad.

The believer should not accept to follow the ways of the Jews and the Christians, or to be among the most evil of people.

40. And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Maula (Patron, Lord, Protector and Supporter, etc.), (what) an Excellent Maula, and (what) an Excellent Helper!

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu jahidi alkuffara waalmunafiqeena waoghluth AAalayhim wamawahum jahannamu wabisa almaseeru

Quran 9:20
Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and emigrated and strove hard and fought in Allah's Cause with their wealth and their lives are far higher in degree with Allah. They are the successful.

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ

Allatheena amanoo wahajaroowajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi bi-amwalihimwaanfusihim aAAthamu darajatan AAinda Allahiwaola-ika humu alfa-izoon

Surah 4:74
So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.

فَلْيُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ يَشْرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَمَن يُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُقْتَلْ أَوْ يَغْلِبْ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

Falyuqatil fee sabeeli Allahiallatheena yashroona alhayata addunyabil-akhirati waman yuqatil fee sabeeli Allahifayuqtal aw yaghlib fasawfa nu/teehi ajran AAatheema

Surah 4:89
They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah . But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.

مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا

Waddoo law takfuroona kama kafaroofatakoonoona sawaan fala tattakhithoo minhumawliyaa hatta yuhajiroo fee sabeeliAllahi fa-in tawallaw fakhuthoohum waqtuloohumhaythu wajadtumoohum wala tattakhithoominhum waliyyan wala naseera

Surah 9:5
And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

فَإِذَا انسَلَخَ الْأَشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ ۚ فَإِن تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Fa-itha insalakha al-ashhuru alhurumufaqtuloo almushrikeena haythu wajadtumoohum wakhuthoohumwahsuroohum waqAAudoo lahum kulla marsadinfa-in taboo waaqamoo assalatawaatawoo azzakata fakhalloo sabeelahum innaAllaha ghafoorun raheem

Surah 9:73
O Prophet, fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination.

The 12th century work by Qadi Iyad is

world. Al-Qadi Iyadibn Musa al-Yahsubi
(1083 C.E.-1149 C.E.) wrote in his book
Al-Shifa’:

“Visiting his grave is part of the Sunna
and is both excellent and desirable.
Ibn `Umar said that the Prophet said,
‘My shafa’at (intercession on the
Day of Qiyamah) is Waajib
(incumbent upon me to intercede)
FOR THE ONE WHO VISIT MY GRAVE.’”

Mr Man, you ask a good question... Muslims are allowed to visit grave but not to worship grave nor build mosque on grave.

Even your link confirms the use of scribes! Besides, there is NOTHING there that credits Paul as being the author of John's Gospel! The letters of the Apostle are NOT the Gospels! Those letters are 1,2 & 3 John and 1 and 2 Peter!

Moreover, Paul was beheaded long before John who was the one that lived longest. How then will Paul preserve the Gospel of John or the 3 letters of John and Revelations when he died before John?
