SportsRe: Lagerback's Fate: Should He Be Sacked Too? by deb(m): 9:15pm On Jun 18, 2010
Our values are wrong in Nigeria that is why we crave instant success that we don't deserve.
Even though I prefer the appointment of Largerback over Amodu which I still do, I never expected anything
spectacular from the Eagles going by the  circumstances behind our preparation. The guy Largs only had 3weeks with the players to be frank with ourselves. I think we should shrug off this mentality of wanting to achieve momentary success that will not last, the type that amodu had been giving to us in time past. I want Largs to stay after the world cup and should be retained till the next world cup. And don't tell me we are spending too much on him if we don't spend money on him won't the moronic NFF officials still loot the same money we refuse to spend on him?
SportsRe: Espn Commentators Vilify Malian Referee by deb(m): 8:44pm On Jun 18, 2010
Am an African and personally I don't like african referees. They make too many questionable calls.
Meanwhile, I think the greater blame should go to FIFA for calling mistakes by officials as part of the game.
I think officiating in football should have advanced beyond the level it is now. It is injustice to allow wrong calls to go un-challenged/reverted
emotions are too attached to this game by the fans than for FIFA to keep doing "siddon look"

The match between Nigeria and Argentina could have ended 0-0 but for the ref who did not spot the infringement on Obasi. How about the cup that Cameroun and Issa Hayatou came to "stea"l in Nigeria right in front of their fans with Victor Ikpeba disallowed goal in the year 2000 African Nation's Cup? Those are just a few out of many.

I Blame FIFA
SportsRe: Eagles Promise To Win S. Korea For Kaita by deb(m): 8:22pm On Jun 18, 2010
bboiabb:
Sani Kaita has received the backing of his team mates, who have promised to beat South Korea for him, to ensure that he gets a chance to redeem himself at this World Cup.

Kaita is suffering a storm of harsh media backlash following his expulsion against Greece on Thursday.

That sending off had fatal consequences for the Super Eagles, as they not only surrendered their one goal lead, but also conceded a second that handed victory to the Greeks.

The team held a meeting at lunchtime on Friday, where Kaita apologised to the rest of the squad for letting them down and asked for forgiveness.

He was given hugs by everyone as the team told him to look past it, and promised him that they would win for him.

Captain Joseph Yobo said: "He is a young footballer who will learn from mistakes like this.

"He's been a solid performer for this team in recent years. It was a mistake, an expensive one but we only have to fight now for what is left to salvage here."

And goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, who once again emerged as the man of the match, said: "Kaita is still a reliable player and should not be left to suffer from this.

"Stuff like that happen sometimes. If you saw him in training and watched him in the World Cup you would see why I still think he should be forgiven."

Nigeria's Kalu Uche, who got his country in front also said: "We all felt let down on the pitch but once we walked off it, he was in our thoughts.

"No-one is blaming him for anything. He has been a magnificent player for his country and his die-hard performances have earned us success in the past, he will return a better man."

Nigeria face South Korea on Tuesday in Durban, needing a win to progress, provided Argentina beat Greece
.
bunch of amateur azzholes. As though they are sure that Argentina will just ride over greece. Can they even beat Korea?
SportsRe: Sani Kaita Apologizes by deb(m): 6:48pm On Jun 18, 2010
I AM SORRY: “Of course we were both out on the pitch and we were both running for the ball, so the guy kicked the ball and he hit me with the ball, so I go at him, that is what he asked for. That was the situation. I cannot say anything more about it. I am very disappointed and everyone is disappointed. The reaction of the Greek player is what made me angry because he hurt me with the ball and my temper was high. Of course it wasn't the right thing to do, but it happened and I hope it will not happen again. All I can say is that I'm sorry to all Nigerians, but all hope is not lost and we look forward to the next game. If we win our last game we will go through.” - SANI KAITA.
He doesn't even understand the game? He said emphatically that we will go through without giving any chance that maybe greece could pull a draw or beat Argentina.
Is he retarded or something? How are we sure chickens can beat South Korea in the first place. We should aunction all those chicken called Eagles. Are they the first team in the world
to be given a red card? why can't the other chickens liften their game?
PoliticsRe: Pdp Conducts Aptitude Test For Aspirants - Funny? by deb(m): 6:35pm On Jun 18, 2010
In 2007, during an informal screening by the party of those seeking office of councillor, two aspirants did not know what the three arms of government meant. The two told the panel that the three arms of government were Mark Four, AK 47 and Pump Action, all referring to the guns that they were familiar with in fighting rivals.

Amodu was not given a stretch of 5 years to work. There was no continuity. The Senegaleese team we lost to in Mali 02 defeated world champions France and made it to the WC quarter finals and we lost after extra time no thanks to an Ike Shorunmu howler. We even got a penalty that would have made us level up. That Senegal team were clearly the best in Africa during that time. Amodu wouldnt have lost to an Argentinian team that were average and even advertised their vulnerability but our dolt of a coach couldnt take advantage
I now understand that you are related to Amodu but how much did he pay you for the PR?
He's the worst coach on planet earth and you cannot change that opinion of him from us.
Since his sack no country has made an attempt to hire him not even Tanzania? He was only good enough for azzholes in the Nigerian FA

Amodu's juju is really working on some Nigerians for them to think that he is something.
Siasia deserves more respect for me going by the short time he's had with our national teams and his performances

Another player just justified what Osaze said about Amodu being inept.
With the level of football Eagles are involved in their various clubs, they could tell whom a real coach is from a gambler
SportsRe: Why Are Some Nigerians Self-haters? by deb(m): 5:48pm On Jun 14, 2010
Why hasn't any country considered Amodu to take over their natonal team if he is such a superb coach?
Not even Tanzania?

I really don't wish to join in this argument but I need to remind you guys that mosy of the players themselves did not want Amodu
to take them to world cup except may a few of them that benefitted from Amodu's selection.

Osaze said it clearly that Amodu's Eagles were predictable so why do we fans want to force a coach that the players themselves do not
think is capable of doing the job to tutor them. They are happy with Largerback and so of us are already beginning to see why so leave them alone.

I will not fault Shittu's inclusion. You guys need to realize that the world cup is a competition and its different from playing the professional league.
You have only seven matches to play if you keep advancing and some players are competition players you don't have to be fantastic all season
you could just have your mentality intact to play seven matches in a competition and still do very well
SportsIk Uche Shocked By Lagerback’s Decision. Wept Profusely by deb(op): 5:35pm On Jun 08, 2010
Nigeria star striker, Ikechukwu Uche wept uncontrollably as he was left completely devastated after he was left out of the World Cup party , officials have revealed.

The Real Zaragoza was joint top scorer in the qualifying tournament for the 2010 World Cup with four goals before he was sidelined by a major knee injury for over seven months.
“He broke down and cried after he was told he will not be going to the World Cup,” a top team official said.

“He was almost inconsolable,” added a player, who made the final cut. While the other dropped players including Peter Utaka and Brown Ideye took part in the team’s final training in England before they left for South Africa, the disappointed Uche was locked up in his hotel room.

Officials disclosed that Uche was yet to recover mentally from the knee injury.
“He is physically fit, but psychologically he has not got over the injury. He is still overcome by fear especially when he goes into tackles. The coaches detected this during training and they all agreed that it would take far beyond the World Cup before he could put behind such fear,” said another official.

On Monday, Nigeria named their 23-man squad for the World Cup with Uche and one four strikers left out from the final party to South Africa.

Lets start by predicting the scoreline of our group stages and if we advanced they we can continue with the prediction.
I think it will be fun to see who gets the prediction right or who is closest to getting it right.

My prediction of the group stages in order:

Nigeria  vs  Argentina   2 - 2

Nigeria  vs  Greece       1 - 0

Nigeria  vs  S/Korea      2 - 1

wow I just predicted 7points in our favour to top the group  shocked

your hope too high. I surely support the SE and I wish us the best really at the world cup. Just trying to caution you Nigerians because you will

SportsRe: How Far Will Nigeria's Super Eagles Go? by deb(m): 3:11pm On Jun 08, 2010
If you look at it critically, we had a fantastic preparation. We beat all our opponents in the qualifying rounds, got our hotel accomodation on time,
flew to south africa without a problem and our FA is the best anyone can wish for in the world. Brazil, Argetina, Italy, Holland and the rest are no match for us.
WE WILL SURELY LIFT THE CUP. Its a no contest. Our strikers are the best in the world scroing 1,001 goals each all season

Do you know why he played only 15 games? And how many of the game do you know that he played full-time?
Well that was the period he was discovered to have had heart problem and was advised to stop playing football.
Thank God for Arsene Wenger who took him on when the whole world rejected him. The same Kanu you call no
good turned out to be the joker banging goals upon goals for Arsenal & them helping win the premiership without a single loss.

I still remember that match that he single-handedly demolished chelsea scoring 3goals and have lost count of the goals
of the week that he scored back then. Here you are, children born in the 1990s calling Kanu thrash.

How many Nigerian players have won the UEFA champions league?
How many Nigerian players have been considered for the world footballer because I remember Kanu was mentioned to
be among the world's 5 best players when he was with Ajax.

Many of the people criticizing Kanu here were probably not born at the time i was referring to. So what do you know about him except now
that he his ageing? We should learn to celebrate our heros but I understand no one can please Nigerians.
