Christianity Etc › Re: I Hate The Devil And So Should You. by debaj10: 8:58am On Mar 18, 2018
oga, before you go put ursef for trobu.
does God hate the devil?
God hates sin, not the sinner.
He was cast out of heaven as punishment, not out of hatred.
abi u 4get say Jesus sef pity demons wey him send enta pigs?
be kiafu o.
calmG:
I really hate the devil.infact I completely loathe him...once he notice you've discovered the truth about how GOD loves humanity and notice you are letting others know this truth,he will make u his target,he will want to make life unbearable for you...but there he goes with another failed mission because If GOD be for you no power can fight against you...That was how he (the devil) was frustrated when Christ came to this world and did all he could to kill him,but shame on to him JESUS Christ rose again. he never knew that was the Ultimate plan of GOD to save humanity...he will continue to fail till his time comes, till when he will be thrown into the buttomless pit...
When your hatred for the devil increases,in like manner will your love for GOD increase...

Toksytoks:
We have allowed the herdsmen narrative to fester for too long and now nobody cares to dig up the truth behind these killings anymore.

The middle belt of Nigeria is has the most dangerous sets of militants - Tiv, eggon, mambila, fulani and all sorts of groups with small arms and weaponery with no known ideology. Totally different from the Niger Delta militants who at least have a face and make their demands known.

This is at most ethnic or political.. how many herdsmen do we actually have in the entire middlebelt and how are they capable of wrecking havoc in 4 states simultaneously. Spare me that crap..

When ortom came in, he granted amnesty to several militia groups in Benue, they laid down their weapons for destruction but where are they now? Weapons don't come cheap, who is sponsoring this people? Are they actually herdsmen?

I can bet that all this will vanish again by 2019 to resurface 2 years to the next election. Buhari should remove these governors and declare a state of emergency.

QuitNotice:
Nice one op, you've said it all; recession is only known by those that stay back and hope.
For those that don't understand op, assuming a kilo of cocoa is 1k in Nigeria. And the international price per kilo is $10. Of which one dollar is now over 300 naira.
If you export 1kg of cocoa, you will be paid in dollars. You will be paid $10 which will be 340 times 10 in naira (assuming the present exchange rate is 340 naira to $1). That will be Equal to N3400 for a product you bought for N1000 in Nigeria. You have a profit of N2400 on just 1kg. Imagine exporting one bag, or even one tonne! Your riches will come like blood money. Dollar is scarce in Nigeria, and so, expensive (basic economics). Naira (in the form of products) is scarce abroad so a little product gives you mad returns. Thousands are making fortunes from such deals. That's what op is trying to explain.
Truly, we need to learn how to utilize opportunities around us.
If you are a receptionist, supermarket manager, etc, or you work where you are accessible to a lot of people, especially car owners, there is a high demand product you can just keep beside you and sell with ease. Buy cheap from us and resell. Douse Air freshener is the real deal.

All economic experts hold him responsible for the mess he created.

He did not end the recession. It was simply an increase in oi prices and better forex policies that helped the economy out of the recession.

The Economist magazine said that the only way the economy could go was up as the economy was so down that it was like throwing a dead cat from a very high skyscraper, it would at least bounce. That was how low Buharinomics brought the country

President Muhammadu Buhari didn't start the year as Nigeria's Commander-in-Chief. Not until May 29 when he was sworn in.
Before May, the president was an opposition candidate who was trying to worm his way into the hearts of the Nigerian electorate.
As any good opposition would, the current president was highly critical of the administration of then-president, Goodluck Jonathan.
After he signed up on Twitter with the account @ThisIsBuhari (later changed to @MBuhari ) in December 2014, Candidate Buhari posted tweets that castigated the actions of the then-administration and posted others that touted his own abilities as Nigeria's way out of the wilderness.
In the run-up to the 2019 presidential election that is fast approaching, it is important to look back on some of the president's past words and relate them to the reality of his tenure.
Here is a compilation of some tweets by the president that have not aged as well as he might have hoped:

1. "We cannot claim to have defeated Boko Haram without rescuing the #ChibokGirls and all other innocent persons held hostage. #NewNigeria"
Unsurprisingly, President Buhari made security a focal point of his electoral campaign with terrorist group, Boko Haram , being the country's major security threat.
While the president made several promises to defeat the group if he was elected, he also hinged his promise on securing the release of all Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by the group in April 2014.
Since the president's inauguration, Boko Haram's influence has greatly reduced » and 103 girls have been released by the group.
However, 112 girls remain in captivity, but this has not stopped the president from claiming that the group has been "technically defeated" even though they still carry out bloody attacks » and abduct more vulnerable Nigerians.
The president's tough words in 2015 became even more impotent when it emerged that the release of the 103 girls cost the country €3 million and the release of five Boko Haram commanders » .

2. "We cannot be the country that loses the essence of our humanity, the meaning of empathy. Nigerians are dying everyday due to incompetence."
Apart from the continued Boko Haram insurgency that means isolated parts of the northeast remain troubled crisis zones, the recent spate of killings in the country in the opening weeks of 2018 make the president's tough words here as a candidate sound empty now.
The president's reaction to the attacks allegedly orchestrated by herdsmen has been criticised in many quarters » as the president appears to be too incompetent or, for some reason, unwilling to satisfyingly clamp down on it.

3. "The countless man hours that will be spent at petrol stations today, will reduce our productivity as a nation. This should not be so. - GMB"
Candidate Buhari had posted this tweet at a time when the country was struggling with a fuel scarcity crisis that disrupted economic productivity and he, like other Nigerians, was fiercely critical of it.
Until it happened, again. In 2016. And 2017. After he became president.
This is one of the president's most notable tweets that has backfired spectacularly as Nigerians have refused to let go » .

4. "I am appealing to you: the damage to this country is great. The level of unemployment and insecurity is intolerable, worsened by corruption."
This is another tweet by the president that was refreshingly biting at the time of its existence because it identified the issues that Nigerians so desperately wanted to get rid of with a change in leadership.
3 years later, and not much has changed.
In a December 2017 report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) , it was disclosed that 7.9 million Nigerians lost their jobs and became unemployed between Q4 2015 and Q3 2017.
Insecurity in the country is far from half-solved, and senior officials in the president's administration have been embroiled in major corruption scandals » that have strayed within touching distance of the president himself.

5. "It is a tragedy to see the ruling party focus on pettiness and lies; rumours of cancer, foreign treatment, and certificates they know exist."
While the then-ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) ran a lot of smear campaigns about Candidate Buhari that many considered distasteful, some of it turned out to be prophetic, or maybe they were just right all along.
In 2017, the president embarked on two high profile medical trips to London to treat an undisclosed illness for a combined 154 days, which left a lot to the imagination of Nigerians.
The foreign trips caused a lot of uneasiness in governance as a familiar scenario played out in the nation's highest seat of power.
Once again, the president's tough words were betrayed by his actions.
Bonus tweet from 2014
Time will tell on this one, won't it?

Business › Re: Understanding The Nigeria Stock Exchange Gains by debaj10(op): 11:33am On Feb 13, 2018
Simply put, it's based on the PERCEIVED value of a company that's listed on the exchange.
If it's seen as valuable, demand for it's shares increases, thereby raising the share price.
If it's seen as reducing in value, people sell their shares, reducing the share price.

How much would you pay for a hot product?
How valuable is pure water in lagos at 5pm, compared to in the Sahara desert at 1pm?

A good example is what happened to blackberry-
PERCEPTION of high value meant the phones were very expensive.
Once whatsapp announced it would stop supporting blackberry devices, the PERCEPTION changed.
But did blackberry phones stop working? Or did BBM, blackberryworld, channels, etc stop?
It was only the one functionality that caused it's handsets to fall in value.
Yes, there were other factors, but they were much less obvious than that announcement.

So, when buying shares it's key to have in-depth knowledge of the company, it's products and both internal factors (human, operations, changes in executives) and external factors (govt policy/currency changes/competition/foreign input).
Hope that helps.
