Dad: I have two others, one works in Abuja and she brought me here and the other works in (*inserts another Nigerian state*)

VO: have you travelled out before
Dad: Yes, I’ve been to Germany and the UK (note: I wrote no in his form because these travels were not in the last 5years) but the VO didn’t ask if it was in the last 5years

VO: when did you travel to those places
Dad: in the late 1980s and early 1990s

VO: I will be approving your visa.

His visa was approved on a Thursday, it changed to issued on Friday and when I checked on Monday on the OIS platform, his passport was ready for pickup.

I'm pleased to see that parents are no longer denied visas, unlike before, congratulations.

The general rule of thumb is six months, as circumstances tend to change after this period. Some people choose to apply immediately; in certain cases, this results in unfavorable outcomes, while in others, it can be favourable. I'll say the main thing is tackling the reason(s) for refusal before reapplying.
As for processing time, there's no time frame, it can be long or short

Before this, did she apply on her own? It's possible that she either applied independently, and the agent or card owner initiated a chargeback on her behalf, or the issue stemmed from your side. However, from experience, I know that debts to the crown typically originate from the applicant's side and on rare occasions the inviter.
Read the GCMS notes properly or get a second person to read it for you.

Don’t waive your Dropbox rights until you’re called in for an interview. Everyone’s situation is different. Don’t subject yourself to an interview that you don’t know what the outcome will be.

I directly quoted from the opinion in Wong Kim Ark. As you can see, the court highlights the status of his parents at the time of his birth. The court agrees that the parents owe their allegiance to china... but have a permanent domicile in the US. The Trump EO states exactly that, it reserves birthright citizenship for those who have permanent domicile in the US. Those left out are visitors, illegal immigrants, temporary workers... all of whom are not permanently domiciled in the US.

This will be a big test but i strongly believe SCOTUS will preserve the EO. Trump's team did not write that EO for fun.

While Wong Kim Ark mentioned the parents’ status, the Court made it clear that birthright citizenship depends on being born on U.S. soil and under its jurisdiction not the parents’ permanent domicile. The parents’ allegiance to China didn’t matter because they were subject to U.S. laws while living here. The 14th Amendment doesn’t limit citizenship to children of permanent residents; it applies to nearly everyone born in the U.S., except for narrow exceptions like children of diplomats.

As for Trump’s legal team, they may be skilled or supposedly the best, but no amount of legal drafting can bypass the Constitution or Supreme Court precedent. The courts have already started pushing back, and history shows they won’t ignore the Constitution to accommodate political strategies.

Sister is married with a kid - Travel to Benin (Twice), Togo (Once) and Ghana (Twice). She is employed with a monthly salary of about 1.5m and has over 20m in account. She has all documents from her company, and she can get letter from her boss. She also has a shop of her own where she has people to manage and only go there on weekend. the shop is registered under CAC. She has all the family pictures, her property and building projects. I will be giving them both invitation letters, my statement of account and all documents. I am a PR holder in Canada works in a good company and i also have my personal company registered here in Canada and properties as well. I am confident on my mom because of her valid US visa but a bit skeptical about my sis and i am also confused if i should submit separately or together as a group with my sister accompanying my mom. Please what can you advise.

Our situations are somewhat similar yet slightly different. If your sister's profile is as follows, you may not need to include her under your mom's application. My sister has a significant travel history to the UK and Europe, spanning over 15 years, and she travels regularly. She is single, has no children, and is well-employed, which is why I included her in my mom's application.

Although we do have family in Canada through my husband's side, we do not tie our application to anyone; our travels are solely for holidays no invite from anyone for visiting Canada, USA, the UK, and other European countries.

In your case, your sister is older, has a husband and kids, and since you are a Permanent Resident, she likely has a better chance of obtaining a visa. Ultimately, securing a visa is often a matter of luck, and having established ties should not be underestimated.

It doesn't. SCOTUS will keep the 1898 decision, but will uphold the EO on a narrow interpretation. Those who drafted the EO for Trump aren't dumb. The framers of the amendment and the 1898 court did not foresee the issue of anchor babies and birth tourism. The 14th Amendment was written precisely to reverse the Dred Scott decision, not to grant mass citizenship to offspring of Chinese mothers. This case will turn on the original intent, not the words of the amendment.

The 1989 case did not cover these folks.

Note that SCOTUS at the time admitted that while his parents were permanent residents, they were still regarded as subjects of the Emperor of China. Birthright citizenship for non-citizens/permanent residents is gone for good. This was a master stroke by Trump.
