When u start admission process u re entitled to have admission number and the number allows u to continue in a specified time. so u can stopped admission and continue after some time. Its different to defer. U cant defer the adm without i20 and sevis id.

@villa12 dont mind them because they will advised u towards failure. Login to ur appli ation portal n did it reflects your admission status as admitted ? Isssuing of I 20 secures ur admission to the point of no return.

When is your interview? If it’s more than 72 hours away you can fill another form to rectify any error and have it linked to your appointment scheduling profile

School B which I really want issued me with an i20 just after I got my F1 visa with school A. However, school B is doing a early summer rotation for my program which I have been asked to attend. This rotation starts a month earlier than the earliest resumption date on the i20 from school A that I got my visa with.

Question is: can I enter the US with the i20 from school B with an earlier resumption date way before the earlier resumption date on the i20 from school A that I got visa with

I doubt any officer will flip through the pages of that paper statement during interview but if it makes you sleep well at night then print it and take it along to your interview

The $300 is a deposit as doctors fee and it’s deducted upping arrival and also no refunds on this amount. Read the email sent to you properly

Chaiii thank you so much, this is very painful! Why do we get just 1 emergency request after paying that amount for visa fee. My dad get cancer which his treatment is in June 27 2024 but his interview date is September 2025(tears) we provided everything you listed but just the DS-160 which the embassy confirmed too. I paid for 520k for both my mom and dad. Now paying the same fee again and the embassy said even if I paid for another visa fee, I am still not eligible for another emergency request.

I just checked my mom portal and saw that she still has her “Emergency request” and I also found out that it was her DS-160 that was invalid because it had the old DS-160 and not the new one(I forgot to update it while scheduling) Can I use her emergency request button and apply for both her and my dad? Thanks

Is it the same amount for both categories? If it’s the same amount it’ll work. I know of someone who paid B1/B2 instead of F1 the receipt worked because it’s the same amount for both categories. If your case is different then call Gtbank to see what they can do

Even if you chose B2 the visa you get is B1/B2 so don’t bother over the category. Since I noticed I also started choosing B1/B2 instead of just B2

I was told I could apply for an expedite interview 60 working days before my program strrt date. My program is starting on the 28th day of August 2024 so the date following that preinformation should be 4th day of June, 2024. My question is, is this 60 working days info valid ? It is 60 days not 60 working days and the 60 days is from program start date as stated on I-20.

Call the embassy to correct it, it’s not hard and there’s no need to panic except her interview is 72 hours from today then she won’t be able to change it.
