If your funds fall below the required amount at any time within 28 days you begin all over, it is your responsibility to use the OANDA calculator daily to check the exchange rate. Make sure to buffer the funds sufficiently so that you don't have to top up or fall short of the required minimum in between.

If you’ve not booked the ticket please book another airline to avoid stories that touch or rather call the airport office of this airline to be sure but I know a stop in Europe requires a transit visa. Turkish airlines is currently on sales and you’ll get affordable prices.

I walked in to pickup my passport and it was pretty seamless.
I submitted passport only then they called me to tell me to pay up about a day after

Yes I did my biometrics in Lagos but they said since this isn’t my first time submitting I have to pay per every time I send my passport.

I thank God for how far I’ve come and I’m not mocking anyone’s situation but I will never be in the position to seek asylum because wetin i dey find.
I try to discourage people from seeking asylum because it’s 50/50, in the case it doesn’t work after filing for JR at the federal court what happens?
High rate of asylum seekers from the part of the world has led to reduced approval rates for visas even for those with very genuine intentions. I don’t like it when people cross a bridge and you break it so those coming behind can’t cross the same bridge.
The asylum system has been abused and even students who qualify for express entry are vying to apply for asylum without seeking information of better pathways to permanent residency.

What I will advise is dont sell properties to japaa with Visitor Visa, your chances of conversion to work or aduro (Asylum) is less than 0.001%.

However if you are dogged, tenacious and resilient: you can sell your land or any worthy investment invest in 2 yrs Diploma or Masters study that has modern day relevant or apprenticeship program to get 3 yrs PGWP. The Nigerian with the above personality will be able to convert to PR either by Student Connection, PNP or worst case Canadian Experience Class. However, come with at least 60% of your proof of fund. Some of us have to sacrifice staying apart to fund our spouse from home country. It isnt easy but it is worth trying.

Relocating isn’t easy. May the hopes of those waiting not be dashed.
I’ve seen people discourage others whilst moving their families abroad 😂. But in all honesty it’s best done with common sense and a backup plan.

Use a dollar card of someone you know in the case you’ll get a refund in the future so you can easily get your money back.

@Jeboy it means a senior officer needs to review the file before a final decision.
Cases like this usually take time to decide from what I gathered from someone currently in the same situation.

Hello All, pls i have a question. I had earlier gotten a visitors visa about a year ago which i did not use cos of ill health of a family member. I however had a change in career path after then and I am applying for a study visa. This new career path is more in line with my first degree. The agent working on the study visa is saying we don't need to put any letter of explanation on the new career path and all i need is the reference letter from the new employer. Please veterans in the house, can u advice me on this

Yes, I paid for VFS for the passport transmission to IRCC and I equally paid for VFS to courier the passport to my house after stamping. I included these payment receipts in the package I asked DHL to handover to VFS. So, as rightly advised, I will wait for VFS to send me an acknowledgement or a confirmation that my passport has been received by them and the next actions to be taken. I was worry because I expected VFS to acknowledge my payment for the passport transmission immediately I made the payment last Thursday.

That’s how they behave they won’t send updates. It they respond quickly to emails they’ll also give you the tracking number of your package so you can track

I had my IW appointment yesterday (29th August) at OIS Services dropoff centre in Lagos. I was scheduled initially for October 2024 then the embassy automatically rescheduled me for the 24th of July but I was out of the country so I had to reschedule that and it was on the 29th August.
Following the communication that the DHL will no longer be used for dropoff, I got an email last week Friday to go to OIS on the day of my appointment 2 hours after my initially scheduled appointment.
I got to the OIS centre at 11am (my appointment was at 9am) and there was a crowd outside. I was told I had to get a number and I was given number 108 meanwhile they just called number 80 to come in.
I was not called in till 12 noon and we were kept waiting in a room till about 1pm when we were called into the room where the drop off was being done. I was there till 2:45pm and the process was very slow with few people attending to the large crowd of people.
Additionally, we all had to pay 48,000 Naira which they called service fee for using the OIS facility.
It was a long and tiring process and it is obvious the OIS team are not fully ready to take over this process. The office is not fully furnished and they are just taking it as it goes for now.
Hopefully, it will normalise within one month. If you have IW to schedule, I advise to wait till they get themselves before scheduling.

PS: I am still not able to create an account on the website so I am unable to track my application.

there's no need to inform them. This isn't misrepresenting because it happened after you submitted it, not before.
