Good day people,

I paid the stated naira equivalent at TLS office, which is clearly stated on TLS website.

The visa fee for visitor visa which include business and tourism stream is 140 AUD, you will require to have equivalent of 120 USD (44,000 naira) for the transaction to go through.

@jw, u ve deleted my post.

Many people have applied for visas to give birth without any specific medical condition. What the visa officer wants to see is that you have ties to Nigeria and you're capable of paying your bills. No point deviating from the truth if fibroid is not harmful. But I wonder why a Dr will agree to do that. In addition, has the US Dr examined her? Or on what basis is he corroborating a false statement. This may throw up unexpected issues for her. She should just go with the truth, have genuine documents in place, be confident, prepare well and hope for the best. There are lots of lessons to be learnt from the experiences of people here.

Have you traveled for any conference before?
Is your passport virgin?
What do you do and which conference are you going for?
Your sponsor and estimate of SOA

Provide answers and I'll give ypou a clue.

My first application was denied on 27/07/2017 based on only one erroneous position of the immigration officer

Hello house, I apologise cos mine isn't a student visa application but can't find any related thread.

I submitted my application for business visa on Thursday, going for a conference, along with my hubby who applied for a tourist visa, to also ve a vacation after my 1 week conference. We were told to get the yellow card, but we still met up with d submission b4 2pm at the Ikeja centre. Never saw yellow card on the checklist of document to submit.

My question is that on the printout we were given, I saw Kenya. I had read here dat decisions are made in SA, could it be diff for biz and tourist visa applicants?

Thanks

If I may ask, please how many days between the day you did biometrics and the email refusal? pls
davodyguy:

Very very annoying.

The conference fee i paid alone is hmmmmm

I want to travel and spend N1.5m for 7 days. Isn't that to their own advantage?
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by debby516(f): 3:42pm On Jul 25, 2017
I think you have more ties to the US than Nigeria, and this may may not work in your favour. In my own opinion, let your wife apply alone and act as her sponsor, and have a bank statement available to back that up.

For the best time to apply, i suggest you start contacting hospitals and doctors now and make a decision, build ur correspondence with your choice doctor. If Baby is due in march, she needs to be in the US, late January or early feb. Apply sometime in September, when the summer rush is down, hoping you get an interview date late sept or early oct. So u have enough time after she gets her visa to plan and in the event of refusal, you have time to reapply b4 her due date.

For the finances, depending on the state you are going to, I'll say have $10,000, then you are good to go.

baldman:
Hello Everyone,

I am delighted to be here. I have never had to post on this thread...but I am happy to be doing so now.. I recently got married and now we are having a baby!!!. My Older Sister lives in the US and so do my parents ( dad is aged and mum in her 60s). I applied for a US visa in 2015 when I was still single ( with no travel history) and in practice as a legal practitioner ( earning 220k gross) and I was refused. Fastforward to now, I am married ( went to dubai on honeymoon) and would like to visit the US with my wife later in the year and subsequently for her to have her baby in the US so that my Mum can take care of her and the baby. I earn about 600k (gross) and ( 460k net) with some annual allowances. I work as a Personal Assistant to the Chairman of an oil company. My wife works as a customer service exec in an interior decor company earning 120k per month. I can have a balance of about N2million in my account by the end of the year and may be 3.5m by February. we are expecting our baby in March 2018. My questions

When is the best time to apply for visa?
From the financial point of view, what is our chance?
From the family ties point of view? Do we stand a chance?

Thank you

I used a birth center for my first delivery. It did not affect my 2 renewals at all. You don't do it for free, you've only pay a cheaper bill. Using there health care for free is the problem.
