The lies and propaganda of Tony Okoroji and COSON have caught up with them.. Last week Tony Okoroji and his team went around social Media claiming that he was not arrested and none of his staff was arrested. But this week the same man that called the event of his invitation to the Police Headquarters in Abuja a fake news is the same person admitting that the security agencies, namely the Nigeria Police, the Directorate of State Security (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) are after him because he was allegedly collecting money illegally and using it for his personal gains. We all remember that the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) suspended COSON license and finally revoked it altogether for lack of transparency and accountability. The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission also included in the 6th Amendment of the Broadcast Code that all users of Intellectual Property must pay royalties and contact the NCC if they are not sure of which Collective Management Organization (CMO) to pay. Well, the chicken has finally come home to roost as Tony Okoroji is now running from pillar to post looking for the authority that will protect his suspected criminalities or that will ask the security agencies not to question and investigate his activities as COSON chairman. He has brazenly presented his organisation to a lot of corporate companies which has now become accomplices in misapportioning monies meant for musicians while impersonating as a Collective Management Organisation (CMO) without Approval or Licence to do so. When all his connections has apparently failed him he has now ran to court to aiming to stop the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Department of State Services (DSS) from investigating him. Why are they afraid of Police investigation by running to the court to seek refuge from being investigated? We keep our fingers crossed. We will wait to see how a former public company which was registered as Limited by Guarantee handling public funds wants to stop the Nigerian Government and its law enforcement agencies from investigating the collections and spending of monies belonging to Nigerian Musicians in the name COSON without approval and in the face of a subsisting judgment nullifying the company. The interests of Nigerian Musicians are bigger than the interest of an individual who claims to be all-knowing, all powerful and bigger than any institution or authority in Nigeria. We at PMAN said it before that this individual can fool us sometimes but he cannot fool us all the time. Whether he sues the Federal Government and add the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Tony Okoroji will still give account of what happened to the monies he collected on behalf of musicians in Nigeria. The era of manipulation of people and the legal system will not continue anymore. Going to file a Fundamental Human Rights case against the Agencies of government cannot give anyone cover to continue in illegal operations or stop the agencies from carrying out their constitutional duties. If those concerned, Tony Okoroji and his team, have not done anything wrong why then are they afraid of been investigated? COSON has been proscribed by the judgment of the Federal High Court in Suit No: FHC/L/CS/274/2010 and as such COSON is not a juristic person and it is no longer known to law in Nigeria. We are ready to call out and expose whosoever tries to connive with Okoroji and COSON to obstruct the agencies from doing their civic duties of Investigation on matters involving huge amounts of money belonging to Nigerian Musicians and their foreign counterparts whose music are exploited in Nigeria, which were apparently paid and collected under false pretences. Your strategy of propaganda has failed because we are all wiser in the industry Now. PMAN is following the unfolding events and will be giving musicians regular updates as the drama continues. Pretty Okafor PMAN President.

ADC Youth Hangout, the novel and innovative ADC conversation and learning platform and the ADC Youth Council will decide 2023. "Following from the youth activism during the #ENDSARS, it is clear that Nigeria youths are prepared for political leadership." Asked whether he supports the call from Igbo leaders for South-East President in 2023. The African Democratic Congress, ADC, says in the interest of equity, justice and unity of Nigeria, the next president in 2023 should come from the South-East geopolitical zone of the country. Maintaining that the interest of the country should supersede individual aspirations, he insists that there are quality presidential materials from all zones of the country. He urged all Nigerians to show patriotism and stop leaving in denial that parochialism is pulling our country from taking its rightful position. The Chairman of ADC Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu said this in a web interview with select media. Chief Nwosu said it will be unfair to Nigerians of the South-East extraction to be denied the opportunity to produce the next President. "in view of the fact that it’s one of the few geopolitical zones of Nigeria that is yet to produce the Executive President of Federal Republic of Nigeria," he added Nwosu who made it clear that his view may not be in tandem with the decision of his party, said the choice of the zone to produce the next President after President Muhammadu Buhari should be based on fairness, equity and justice, noting that the management the diversity of the country requires mindfulness and efficient application of diversity principles. On the chances of his political party to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) at the federal level and at the states level, Nwosu said ADC is prepared to upset bookmakers in the 2023 General Elections. That Nigerians have become wiser, as a result, attempts to use the money to buy their conscience will fail. " We have gone back to the drawing board, we have reflected on our past performance at polls and have come out with a new strategy to win big in the next elections cycle. "Inclusion is key to us, we don't sweep people off the bus neither do we let Nigerians out in the rain or severe weather. With our handshake symbol, we shake hands and pull everyone along". He explained that the party is mobilising the youth and women to take over space and make changes for the good of Nigerians. "ADC Youth Hangout is happening across Nigeria and the talking points in all the sessions are suiting, appealing, empowering and inspiring that it has become one of the strongest learning platforms in the country". When asked that ADC did not perform well in the last General Elections, Chief Nwosu debunked the insulation saying the party won many seats at the National Assembly and in about 12 states house of Assembly in different states. The ADC Chairman accused the Independent National Electoral Commission for conniving with the executive branch of government to undermine free and fair elections in the country all the time out. ” I disagree with anyone who says ADC didn’t do well in the last General Elections, Without fear of contradictions INEC worked against us (ADC) because of the sudden postponement of the elections when we had expended all our resources to pay our party agents across Nigeria.

When the system of selection of ruler is riddled with conspiracy and selfish plot, the consequence is usually grave on the generality of the community. The Oniru of Iruland Gbolahan Lawal has become a nemesis to his patrons and handlers, as he has turned the Iruland that we knew as a place of solace, to home for thugs, assassins and marauders. Ever since Gbolahan ascended the undeserved stool, numerous people ‘disappeared’ under his reign and several respected men and women in the community have been attacked and harassed by his boys. There are countless cases of Gbolahan’s thugs inflicting life-threatening injuries and metaphysical charms on anyone he suspects to be an opposition. There are also indications that the Oniru is disillusioned that he has not only dumped his key people who risked everything to give him the underserved Obaship status, but also turned them to disposable entities. Recently some legitimate and recognised royal families of Iruland could no longer take the excesses of Gbolahan Lawal, whose reign has been on record as an imposed crown bearer, who has been handpicked to do the bidding of his paymaster, and they call for his removal from the royal stool. The Ewumi Branch of Abisogun Ruling House recently called on Gbolahan Lawal to vacate the stool for Prince Hakeem Ajasa, who was one of the legitimate candidates for the stool at the time. It was reported that Ajasa willingly surrendered his aspiration to Gbolahan, who was never in the race at the time. Prince Monsuru Ajasa, who spoke on behalf of the Abisogun family said that Prince Gbolahan Lawal never showed interest from the inception of the In-house, Ewumi Royal family and larger Abisogun family nomination, selection and election processes such that Prince Lawal’s mother even gave her consent and blessings to Prince Ajasa’s selection/election when visited at Iru Family Resettlement Scheme.” Prince Monsuru Ajasa further stated that Hakeem Ajasa was elected at the Olori Ebi’s House in Mile 2, Lagos and all Prince Lawal’s siblings were present, evidence that Prince Lawal was not amongst the contenders and did not show interest neither did he follow due the process as stipulated by the Chieftaincy regulations but was merely imposed on the family by Bola Tinubu. In view of this development, therefore, the Abisogun have now rejected Prince Gbolahan Lawal in totality. The Ewumi Royal family of Abisogun Ruling House have since requested that Prince Gbolahan Lawal returns the crown and also vacate the throne. Gbolahan’s reign of terror and his ruthless style of rulership has not only seized the peaceful serenity that the people of Iru once enjoyed, Wherever Gbolahan passed, the grass will never grow again. He has demonstrated a chilling disregard for the sufferings of his own people and mercilessly crushed any opposition. Things have fallen apart and the centre can no longer hold in the fold of Gbolahan. Heads are already rolling in his own fold. He has ordered his thugs to take to the streets to intimidate and suppress anyone who challenge his excesses and recklessness in Iruland. Recall the viral video that showed how some men were attacked by Gbolahan’s thug in December 2020, at a family shrine, where many people were severely injured and the 200 years old shrine was reduced to nothing. Gbolahan’s reign is replete with examples of less than stellar leadership. His penchant for violence, murder, genocidal tendencies, and other deviancies is unquantifiable. It is hoped that the paymasters who imposed him, will see through his tyrannical style of leadership and treat the situation as a matter of urgency, as his paranoia may destroy Iruland.

Lagos State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC has reacted to the suggestive allegation raised by the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP claiming that Lagos State Governor is planning to entrench undemocratic rule in the Local government areas of the state. The Spokesperson of the PDP had in a press release claimed that the APC is planning not to conduct local elections this year, but to impose its preferred candidates at every local council development area and local government. Reacting to this allegation that has been debunked as baseless and petty, the Spokesperson of the APC, Hon Seye Oladejo stated that the PDP has cried wolf too often, people have stopped believing them. He congratulated the party for finding their voice at the time of electoral exercise as they often do, and reiterated that the baseless allegation or suspicion to entrench undemocratic governance at the local government level in the state is not in tandem with the fact that Lagos State has always had democratically elected leaders at the grassroots since the inception of this dispensation Read statement below Let me congratulate the Lagos State PDP for characteristically finding its voice again as a result of the impending local government elections in the state. For the umpteenth time, let me state categorically that the comatose Lagos State PDP only comes alive during the election season only to withdraw to its cocoon after the traditional perennial defeat. Their monumental defeat during the recently held Lagos East Senatorial and KOSOFE 2 Lagos State House of Assembly by-elections has further exposed the ineptitude of the PDP opposition that’s bereft of winning capability as a result of their constant rejection at the polls. The needless ranting about the local government elections that are not even due and for which we await an official pronouncement shows the idleness and needless rabble-rousing of its confused leadership. The baseless allegation or suspicion to entrench undemocratic governance at the local government level in the state is not in tandem with the fact that Lagos State has always had democratically elected leaders at the grassroots since the inception of this dispensation. It’s also noteworthy that activities and preparations towards the local government elections as admitted by the opposition, the spokesman is only prevalent in the ruling party in the state. We can only sympathize with the fact that the opposition PDP will struggle to field candidates for the elections. As a party that believes in the rule of law, upholds the provisions of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the tenets of democracy, we wish to assure Lagosians that local government elections will hold in our state at the appropriate time. There’s absolutely no need to cry wolves where there’s none. Seye Oladejo Lagos APC Spokesman 28/03/21

The year 2020 was a difficult year for a lot of people and the Nigerian film industry was no exception. Shoots were cancelled, film releases were delayed and now, production companies have to find new and innovative ways to convince their audience to visit the cinemas, in the middle of a pandemic that has threatened the very existence of human identity. 2021 looks like it’ll be an exciting year for those looking for Nollywood enthusiasts, as top Nollywood Actor, Babaseun Faseru is set to release new blockbusters from the stable of Astrocraft Productions in 2021 Babaseun Faseru remains one of Nollywood’s most adored male actors. Aside from his brilliant acting skills, Babaseun has a lovable personality and has for all his career carried himself so very well. From his looks to his composure, speech delivery and carriage, Babaseun gave one of the best performances of his career so far with his role in both movies. Not only is Babaseun one of the most talented actors to grace Nollywood, but he has also directed, starred in, and produced quality movies, receiving various nominations and awards. The Seyi Akinsola’s initiative, Astrocraft has come to change the narrative of the movie industry in Nigeria and the resonant effect is evidently telling. In the last 2 months, Seyi Akinsola has mobilized the best of the best movie actors in the Nigeria movie industry to produce to the blockbusters. Ebiti is a drama with compelling storylines backed with impressive acting. The movie offers a beacon that society and police can see to correct the ills we are all already aware of. Deputy Superintendent Gbade Davies (Yomi Fash Lanso) with his team are on a journey of putting some jigsaw puzzles together to unravel a mystery. Their attention to detail, professionalism, tenacity, compassion, empathy, and integrity in this journey are tested. #Endsars was a good conversation starter on how we can have responsive and effective policing. Police with a human face, technology, and media-savvy, police that can maintain law and order with a high degree of responsibility. Police with a human face, technology, and media-savvy, police that can maintain law and order with a high degree of responsibility. Ebiti is also produced by Bababseun Faseru. Ebiti features top actors such as Damola Adetunji, Ronke Odusanya, Yinka Salau and many more. Dieko, on the other hand, is a movie that addresses the spike in sexual violence. In Nigeria, it is not uncommon for rape to go unreported. Some victims and their families, fearing stigmatization, police extortion, and a lack of trust in the judicial process, choose not to report cases to the authorities. There have also been instances where those brave enough to report are targeted with derogatory comments at the police station. In 2017, Sexual offenses in Nigeria records, 2,279 reported cases of rape and indecent assault, 1,164reported cases of "unnatural offences" (i.e anal sex), zero convictions reported by police, and only one state (out of 36) reported no cases of indecent assault. The movie, Dieko reflects that sometimes, the cause of rape may not be the state of mind of the rapist, but his orientation. Its portrays how a gentleman who is attractive, does not know to woo a woman or have consensual sexual engagement with the opposite sex, but loves to be rough and enjoys causing harm and injury on the opposite sex to gratify himself. The movie teaches that not all roughneck men are crude with women and not all smooth-looking men are kind. The movie is produced by top Nollywood actor, Babaseun Faseru and seasoned director Titi Jeje. Astrocraft movie production invests in the making of movies and offers the resources and manpower required to make it all possible. The Rivers State Democratic Alliance-Union (RSDAU), had endorsed Chibuike Amaechi/Nasir El- Rufai for President 2023 and Prince Tonye Princewill for Rivers State Governor 2023. This reflects in a statement released on Monday, 15 March 2021, and issued to newsmen. The statements reads: We members of the above body do hereby make the necessary bold step of officially endorsing the above mentioned names for the above mentioned Political offices. Mr. Chibuike Amaechi and Mallam.Nasir El-Rufai are eminently qualified with excellent track record of outstanding success in governance and public administration. We challenge those claiming that Chibuike Amaechi is not of Igbo origin to come out publicly and tell the world and Nigerians the tribe in Nigeria that bears "Chibuike and Amaechi" as indigenous tribal name. Power must rotate from National to state level, down to all levels. At the center, Power will rotate from North to South and we are putting forward Rt.Hon.Amaechi/El-Rufai ticket for 2023 Presidential election. These two radiant hard working men with their outstanding track records of verifiable success in governance and public administration have what it takes to revive Nigeria and her developmental challenges. Amaechi as Rivers State Governor did almost 80% of the work Emperor wike is claiming the glory and honor for today. While Mallam. Nasir El-Rufai, on his part as Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.(FCT-Abuja) cleaned up Abuja and restored the original Master Plan. All the beautiful tress and flowers you see on the streets and high ways of Abuja are all the creative hand work of Mallam. Nasir-El-Rufai. We therefore, wish to officially endorse and project Amaechi/El-Rufai ticket for 2023 Presidential election as the best bet for the South to take over Power from the North. It is in need a great combination of young leaders that can and will deliver dividends of Democracy. Back home here in Rivers State, We have started campaigning for Power to rotate from upland to Riverine side of Rivers State. It is a fair demand and we here by wish to formally and officially endorse a formidable known name. A kalabari born Prince and a strong candidate to contend with in the Person of Prince Tonye Princewill for Rivers State Governor 2023. Emperor Wike runs to Sokoto to bow for Sultan of Sokoto the descendant of Usman Dan fodio that he used to insult our traditional rulers in Rivers State. Emperor wike runs to Sokoto to bow for Sultan of Sokoto only for him to come back to Rivers State to ridiculously ridicule our beloved traditional rulers the custodians of our native institutions with his Usman Dan Fodio cap morkery of the representatives of our esteemed traditional institutions. Impunity and arrogancy taken too far. Absolutely unacceptable! In our view, the best karma and the best way to clear the mess of Emperor Wike, is to get the son of a king from the Riverine area of Rivers State, in the Person of Prince Tonye Princewill whose elderly father was a victim of Emperor Wike's manneless, aggressive, arrogant, disrespect for traditional rulers in Rivers State since Power must rotate from upland to Riverine. We are of the view that Prince Tonye Princewill is the best candidate that can fight Emperor Wike and uproot any candidate that he might be thinking to impose. Prince Tonye Princewill will restore the broken dignity of our traditional rulers, he will bring back their honor and restore intergrity, not excluding regards for our traditional institutions and Native Authority. Signed: Comrade. Silver Pedro Jack (SPJ) PRESIDENT, RIVERS STATE DEMOCRATIC ALLIANCE UNION (RSDAU)

FOOD BLOCKAGE TO SOUTH: Erelu Tinuade Canvases Yorubas To See It As An Opportunity To Revisit Farming.* The widely acknowledged custodian of African cultures, who equally is the traditional title holder of Erelu Oodua of Aye kingdom, Erelu Tinuade Mabel Onaneye has on Friday, 5th of March, 2021 enjoined Southwest people and government to see the ongoing food blockage from North to South as a good opportunity to revisiting farming which has long been neglected. We are not lazy, we know how to do farming. She made the statement from her base in Texas, United States in a press release she signed and made available to the general public following the blockage of food items from North to South by The Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff & Cattle Dealers of Nigeria and Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria who instructed their members to stop the movement of food items from the North to the South. 'Contrary to the lamentations of my people in the South, this development to me is a blessing in disguise. It's an opportunity for us to re-visit the long-forgotten farming activities which were our major occupation before the discovery of oil. It is the only way to avoid being dependent on the North for food items!' Erelu opined. Erelu posited that both the people and government at all levels in the Southwest must all act fast and work together to achieve this goal. She says it's a huge insult for Northerners to believe they could starve Southerners to death by refusing to supply the food items when the South has more fertile land and forestry resources than the North. In conclusion, she calls on Yorubas and the Southwest Governors to begin to see this blockage as a reawakening of historical pastime as farmers and grow the Yoruba nation. By doing this, the government would be creating jobs for youths while also generating revenue to the purse of their respective States.

Excerpts: Q – You have succeeded in many areas, what are your reflections? What has life taught you at 52? For me there is so much more to do. There is so much more that could have been done. But it would be wrong not to be grateful for what has already been achieved. Looking back you have got to understand that in the Nigeria of today, a 52 year-old is young because you have people in their 70s and 80s still running things. Naturally, at 52, you don't feel like you are old. If I have to look back, what I will remember are the PHPs of patience, hard work, and perseverance. All of those things pay off. You also need to also build your foundation right. Being in a hurry is not necessarily good. I‘be learnt not to be in a hurry. That which lasts, require effort. Q- Despite the Nigerian challenges, what kept you going? What motivates you? My drive and passion have been unstoppable. You have to understand that I spent part of my early life in Nigeria and then moved to the UK. In the UK, I was doing well. I was fine and happy. When I came back to Nigeria something pricked me. The difference was striking. The life I was living in UK compared to what I saw in Nigeria was unacceptable. So, my return to Nigeria has always been driven by addressing the unacceptance of the situation. As long as the differences exist, I remain motivated. Every single time I travel out, the pain is revisited when I come back. The difference is clear. The question is not how do I keep on. The question is: “what can stop me”? So, the inequality, injustice and inequities everywhere would continue to give me an unstoppable drive to keep on moving. Q- You share a lot in common with your father including his birthday. As a respected Professor of Medical Microbiology and a very Prominent traditional ruler in Rivers State, How much did he influence you and what you are today? My father always says that he likes to give me the choice to make my own choices. I once teased him that he was the reason I had studied Petroleum Engineering but he was quick to remind me that it was my own decision. He was right. He is always happy to discuss with me and advise but he is always happy to have me make my own decisions. The choice of going into politics was also not his idea but he accepted it as a mark of respect for me. I am fortunate. Being his only child, I had the attention. My father was a generous man, so, growing up, we were always surrounded by people being around. In fact, my mother had five children from her previous marriage and my father took them all in and treated them like his own. Despite the privilege of being the only one, I was open to people. My parents taught me to care. Yes, my first seven years in life were with just him, me and my mother. But coming back to Nigeria, my step brothers and sisters were always around me. He adopted them as his own. I also found his openness, generosity and humility quite worthy of emulation. I would like to think I picked some of those traits from him. Humility is key. Don't take anyone for granted. It's important you respect everyone. Nobody is better than others. I took all that from him. In terms of his influence, it was more desirable for me to learn from him. He’d always strive, that I should be independent. Q - You were born with a silver spoon. How would you react to a view that you had success on a platter of gold? It would be inaccurate to say that I have my success on a platter of gold. Where I would say I had an advantage was my good education. I was given the best education available and with that I was able to find my way. I can't take that away from my parents. I went to the best schools and mixed with good minds but not necessarily that I got the silver spoon. I remember after school, I decided to leave the country and go to the UK. My father was wondering why I had to do that but I insisted on finding my own way. So I went to the UK, and started from the scratch. I landed in the UK with just £30. I found my way from there to later secure myself a Masters degree while working to stay alive. From there, I built myself a career, secured jobs, developed my capacity with more relevant skills, etc. Slowly but surely I made my life in the UK literally from scratch, working hard and eventually starting a family. My father was very critical of why I had to leave. He was a lecturer and later became a King. But I had always wanted to build my own life and follow my dreams and livelihood outside his sphere of influence. Again, when I returned, I was never involved in the affairs of the kingdom except to advise and mentor the next generation. I was in Lagos, Abuja doing my thing. The reason I was doing things my way was not because I didn't like help, but because I believe in the idea of fighting to survive. Training myself to survive with my brain. To be fair to my dad, he actually taught me to be that way: to find my own path in life. I want to think that I did. But his shadow is cast wide. His good works and his good heart have left many people wishing me well just because I’m his son. Q- What informs your special interventions like the Youth Programs in Dubai & Ghana? Let's look at Ghana and then Dubai. I took over 30 youths to Ghana and then picked the best and sponsored them to Dubai. For Ghana, I had visited Accra and noticed its cleanliness. I met a lot of people there and asked them if I could bring some Nigerians there to understudy their waste management system and local government administration and they agreed. Remember I earlier said we all need to grow together. Others can then continue the legacy. I also noticed the smooth transfer of power between opposition and the incumbent. I wanted to share the experience with others to pass on such good practices. The end goal was to expose them to best practices. Seeing is believing. I then took the best 10 from the 30 to Dubai where they met all the key people. They met the masters who exposed them to the knowledge of how UAE was developed. For me, Nigeria, Rivers state, Africa, those who develop it are not spirits; there is nothing mystical about visible development. There are lazy and smart people everywhere. The problem is how to engage more smart people and give them more roles and responsibilities. My hope in the program was that I gave the group the opportunity. I do many other interventions here and there with a desire to give back and help build a better society. I have many projects I use to help. But I also go farther into mentoring, building and supporting them. Q - As a different and progressive breed of leader, what defines your brand of leadership and political ideology? I think that's a good question and I think the difference in my case is pretty clear. I have clear ideologies which clearly guide where I stand on a variety of issues. Unfortunately, even journalists don't probe the issue of ideology. I'm glad you are asking about it as most don't ask. The first question should not be to the politician but to the political parties. If political parties have well-formed and clear ideologies, that will guide the politicians. The politician then decides that I don't believe in this ideology and cannot work with this party. Instead, we have political parties that lack ideologies. Therefore, the ideologies now stand with the politicians. In my case, I have a clear ideology and I will define myself as more centre left than centre right. I am pro-business but I don't believe in promoting business at the expense of the people. My primary concern is the people. I don't believe the people should survive on welfare. They will survive and excel if they are given the opportunity to thrive. But for that to happen, business too must also thrive. Successful businesses build successful citizens who are then hardworking, tax paying, and further developing the people. I believe that you should get rich and pump back in to the society so all of us should be growing together. I don't believe in a storey building amidst many bungalows. I believe we should have the city of storey buildings and all should be growing together. For me, my ideologies are clear. I know my stand on the minimum wage, education, transportation, and housing. The number one priority of every politician should be job creation because it covers everything. It should not be about government employing 2000 or 10,000. It should be government encouraging businesses to thrive through an enabling environment and then businesses employing people. What are the key factors for a business to thrive? Security and capital. When viable funds are available for businesses, there is growth. Low-interest rates are also helpful. The current government has these things in place but my pained position is that these things should form the ideology of the party and should drive all its candidates. An APC government in a state should be doing similar great programs in the state. This is because all are guided by the party ideologies. That would therefore then be an APC ideology. But we don't see these things and journalists don't ask the politicians. The journalists don't ask the political parties what are their ideologies. As a party, what’s your position on minimum wage, youth employment, security? Parties are institutions, not interventions to put people in power with no directives that reflect through from federal to local government levels. Nobody is asking these questions of parties or politicians, so I'm glad you asked. I have my ideologies and it has been built up by my experiences and my world view. However, if I go into a party, will it ask me about ideology? Do I sign on to anything? If I switch parties, does anyone care about my ideology? It’s all grammar they say. Q - How do you relax? I play video games; PlayStation. I’m an expert in FIFA. I love my wife and I going to the local cinema. We have slowed down on that because of Coronavirus. When I’m in Nigeria it depends on where I am, but when in Lagos, I really enjoy going to my restaurant to eat and watch my workers working. I enjoy taking it easy; reading a book, watching a movie and relaxing by playing on my PlayStation. Unfortunately these days I am doing a Law degree in the University of London so my time to relax is far far reduced.

Highly talented actor cum producer, Babaseun Faseru is one of the Nollywood actors currently making waves in the entertainment industry. He started his career with stage performance, today he has featured in lots of award-winning series and movies. In this exclusive interview with City People’s Senior Showbiz Reporter, BIODUN ALAO, spoke on how award-winning filmmaker, Tunde Olaoye and superstar actress, Funke Akindele helped his acting career. For many who don’t know, he is the younger brother of KICC Pastor, Pastor Femi Faseru and they both share a striking resemblance. He talked about how his brothers have encouraged and helped him achieve his dreams. How Pastor Femi would introduce him to his celebrity friends and his immense contribution to her career. He recently produced 2 indigenous movies “Dieko” and “Ebiti” with A-list stars on the set. He also shares his challenges and fears in the movie industry. Below are the excerpts. How did acting start for you? Well, let me say I started acting when I was 15 years. I have a cousin who studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ilorin. In the final year, he had to do a project based on a movie in my home town Ijebu Ijesha, so he came home gathered some of us. I auditioned and I got a role and that was my first appearance ever in 1995. After then around 1999, I was in the University of Ado-Ekiti. This same cousin of mine wanted to do another movie at that time. He called me to come around. We had the movie at OAU. We were there for about 6 to 7 days and it was there I met with the lead actors of Papa Ajasco. Then after my service year, I started doing stage plays for church and concerts. Later I was invited to feature in the movie titled “Married But Living Single” a cinema movie that parades A’ list stars such as Joke Silva, Funke Akindele, and lots of others. And that was my first opportunity of meeting these great stars one-on-one. The movie was directed by Tunde Olaoye. I played a minor role. From there, Tunde Olaoye invited me for another television series, then he invited me for another series “Shadows”, where I played the role of a boyfriend to Kehinde Bankole. Afterwards he invited me for yet another series “Crack In The Wall”. Then we did another series titled “Number One”. Tunde Olaoye After a while, he called me up for an audition at Tade Ogidan’s office. There I met veteran actress, Sola Sobowale. It was her production; a television series where I played a Personal Assistance to the great actor, Keppy Ekpenyong. I was later invited to the set of Tinsel, an M-Net series. That was in 2014 and I was really excited. I enjoyed every bit of it. After Tinsel, I moved on. Then Tunde Olaoye called me again for an audition and lo and behold, it was “Jenifer’s Diary”. I saw Funke Akindele and I was picked and I played Toyo baby’s boyfriend. It was a huge role and I was surprised such a role could be given to someone like me who is not yet very known in the industry. I put in my best so I won’t disappoint their trust in me. So I did feature in lots of television series, after Jenifa’s Diary, I did Industreet. In 2017, I got a call from Funke Akindele’s P.A. to come for a movie project they are working on. I got there and met lots of big names in the industry. I was surprised when I was told I would be playing the lead role in “My Siblings & I”. It’s an M-Net project and that was how I started my journey in “My Siblings & I”. I also went for an audition for Superstory and I played the lead role of Donaldo in Superstory. So as I was doing my siblings and I, I was equally doing Superstory “Donaldo”. In 2018, I decided to produce my own movie titled “PWD”, which features stars like Kunle Coker, Afeez Oyetoro, Jide Kosoko amongst others. Directed by Tunde Olaoye it was all about drug abuse. After then I have done lots of movies. I was also called to feature in the award-winning movie “Battle Within”. I also feature in “Royal Outlaw”. I did “Tomorrow Is Now”. Though I would say I have feature more on series than feature movies. I also featured in the record-breaking award cinema movie which is still showing in all the cinemas at the moment, like Omoghetto the Saga, where I played the character of Pluto. A movie which was produced by Funke Akindele and directed by JJC Skillz. Also, I just produced 2 movies this year which were indigenous movies. Dieko, is another one, I played Dieko the serial rapist, and Ebiti, in which I played Idowu, the unsuspected murderer. What are the challenges you have been faced with? I think the first challenge I had as an upcoming actor was during my first audition in Lagos. Probably because I was not a popular face. The producer decided not to pick me to play the role. Because I was supposed to play the lead role but he didn’t pick me. I was supposed to act Ben at 20, Ben at 30, and Ben at 40 and as at that time I was already 30 but had the 17 years old look, so the guy didn’t believe I could play, he just didn’t want to know how good I was, even when the producer tried convincing him. He said no, probably because I was not Igbo. I can never forget that audition. It got to a point that he told the producer he would stay off the project if he insists on using me. Eventually, I didn’t hear from them to date. I told myself I don’t have to belong to a clique to be featured in a movie. Apart from that, another challenge I face as a producer is that there’s no compensation for the hard work we do. Like if you produce a Yoruba movie now, the best place you can take it to is Africa Magic Yoruba no matter what you spend on your movie no one cares. If you spend 5 million in your movie, the best you can get back is 1 million. So just imagine the movie one can make with just 1 million naira? By the time you collect camera, pay accommodation, pay articles. You won’t have anything left. I am really sorry but that is why you see lots of substandard movies on Africa Magic Yoruba. Those are the challenges we face. And many young producers who are coming up now don’t want to be at the mercy of any company, especially if you know that they are taking advantage of the monopoly, so we are eagerly waiting for other platforms to break that monopoly. Basically, I think that is the challenge I have. We have fantastic crew members, good scripts, fantastic actors, and locations. We have all these. Do you have any regret so far about being in the industry? So far, no regret. I think the only regret I have so far, is not joining the industry early enough. Apart from that, it is been an amazing year. within these 9 years, I have done lots of big movies such as “Shadows” Jenifa Diary, even though I pulled out in Season 9. The series has done well overall in Africa and other countries as well. Even Tinsel, though it didn’t give me the fame I envisaged but starting with Tinsel gave me good morals. Superstory, anywhere I go to, people always talk about my character, so I am super grateful to Almighty God. So no regret at all. Has your famous brother in any way helped or influenced your career? Yes, it has helped my career. I have other brothers who are equally famous but because Pastor Femi Faseru is always on the screen has made him more famous. I have another brother who is a commodity exporter. He is the President of Cashew Association of Nigeria. My brothers have been so supportive, I have another one who is in America now. He is a professor at the University. Yes, Pastor Femi has been very supportive; most of the clothes I wear, even on set are given to me by him. The fact that he knows I am into showbiz, he always floods me with clothes. He knows that it is what I need. Several times, he has introduced me to celebrities who visit him. He enjoys seeing me on the stage. He has contributed immensely to my career. His fame too has helped me, because once I mention my surname “Faseru” is a golden name with that name favours comes, so it’s been awesome being his brother. Who do you look up to in the industry? The truth of the matter is that I don’t really have anyone I am looking up to in the industry but I have people I admire a lot. They inspire me. I enjoy watching their jobs. So, I have several people that inspire me and I watch their work a lot. Right from when I was in Ijebu Ijesha and that was when I got the inspiration to become an actor. Someone like RMD. How would you watch RMD and not fall in love with his works. I have always watched his movies even a few days ago. I went back to movies like Isakaba, Desperado and I was like if these people could do these movies at that time the resources were very scarce, then they are the real filmmakers. Another person I admire as a producer is Tunde Olaoye. I admire his creativity how he works. I love Funke Akindele’s energy, creativity, and skills. I love the fact that she is so close to domestic things; you can always relate well to her movies. What about Tade Ogidan, an exceptionally good and highly talented filmmaker. I said earlier that if you are looking for the best of producers, then they are here in Nigeria. Fantastic actors are all here in Nigeria. All these people inspire me a lot. RMD progression is amazing. No scandal, just doing his things peacefully. Even after the break to join politics, he still came back and ruling his world peacefully. I love Ramsey Noah. He is been consistent over the years. Desmond Elliot is another fantastic filmmaker I admire a lot. Just the way these people have inspired me, I want to inspire people too. If you talk about a female who is hardworking, determined, rugged, creative who doesn’t take less and doesn’t go below standard, that is Funke Akindele. She pictures something and brings it up in reality. I owe her in high esteem and she inspires me a lot. I have worked with her and I know how she works so I am not just saying this. “,

Chief. Ralphs Okey Nwosu National Chairman ADC reacts to decamping of Hon Peter Makinde of Ondo state. On the purported decamping of Hon Peter Makinde of Ondo state, no better answer than with the rhymes meant for persons without gratitude in their soul. Of him, this day and the scene at the floor of the House of Representatives, I can only think of a vulture dance in the odium of carcass of own ilk. A haughty ungrateful man, like a Trojan or a desperate pirate of old, ain't a character worth the esteemed time of patriots in a rescue mission that exemplify the ADC DNA. The human without character is less than a dog. Certainly, the vices and grandiloquence will receive a compensation in not a distance time. Ingratitude, ungratefulness is a curse, a social malady with all the viles. Too much Greed in the soul of they who desecrates the chambers of honor with lies, misinformation and filthy gambits. These characters are misfits for public service and this includes the spiteful speaker who presides over cadavers not worthy of the public good. There is nothing honorable in men full of vile, so the scandal is of both men; the disingenuous speaker and his ungrateful minion. Hardened hearts and incorrigible, filthy, and haughty souls do not belong to the assembly of worthy men and patriots. It appears the National assembly has become home for despots without character and a theater of absurdities. All crimes pass for politics, and all frauds for cleverness but time will catch up with men and women who bring evil to the green chambers and shame to our dear country. To those who take the back door and give the backhand, may they rest in shame. Deeds and evil intentions of bad men cannot diminish a great organization and a political party intent on national transformation. ADC is unstoppable, in the final analysis evil men will be exposed for what they are, opportunistic, little minded and delusional brigands. To my dear colleagues, I will be surprised if you feel ruffled by today's development. How many of these characters have shown much affinity to ADC since after they climbed on us to their present positions. This is not peculiar to ADC either. AA had about 9 elected members at state and federal, but none stayed beyond one 1month. APGA had about 9 federal legislators, all of them from states other than Anambra left the party already, and even from Anambra 2 decamped. PDP lost Senators, Rep members, and even a governor and still counting. Let's focus on the big picture and continue to do the very best. The people, the electorate will respond at the appropriate time. Trust me ADC will emerge much bigger than any of these parties in the coming polls. 2023 beckons, the result will show a full blast. To God the glory. Ralphs Okey Nwosu National Chairman ADC.

The Creative Industry Group has reacted to the news going around, about the authenticity and legitimacy of functions of the group, by Nigerian singer Felix Duke, describing his foul cry as laughable and petty. In an attempt to undermine the credence and integrity of Performing Musicians Employers' Association Of Nigeria, PMAN, and its leadership, Felix in a muddled up press statement, regarded himself as President, and unilaterally ascribed offices to his friends and loyalist, who, out of desperation, failed to do due diligence before camping with an imposter. In a statement released on Friday, February 19, 2021, the group’s spokesperson, Nosa Omoregie, described the release as petty and laughable, lacking substance worthy of promulgation, adding that it further revealed the ruthlessness and desperation of Mr. Felix Duke to rip the industry off its hard-earned integrity and credibility. He wrote: We know that the President of PMAN, Pretty Okafor may not indulge in any sort of roforofo bad mouthing with traducers. More important is the peaceful, sophisticated, and a valued pastime that the union has guarded jealously since he assumed the office. We know Pretty will not dignify Felix with a response and by the formidable unity among members of PMAN, no one will engage Felix in the same reductionist mentality. However, as members of the CIG who have been observing the trend of events as they unfold, we will not hesitate to sound a note of warning to the imposter and his team of traducers who have been jumping from corporate offices to public office holders, begging for money to run paper-projects. It's about time Nigerians got to know the crux of the matter as Felix and his team of lairs have had their cup full, and it’s about time they were treated to a whiff of their game. For the record, this matter shall be addressed once and for all. It is pertinent to know that while the executives of PMAN were fighting the tough battle with the outgone management (Tee Mac and Tony Okoroji) Felix Duke who was with unsuspecting Pretty Okafor and other progressives, was planted by Tony Okoroji,Tee Mac, and Oritz Wiliki to snitch about every step taken by the team. This was confirmed by a credible source from Tony’s camp. PMAN was warned to be wary of a snitch, but we would discard the information as irrelevant, as trust and transparency is our key motivation. CIG was initiated by Pretty Okafor, but the appointment process was subject to a collective decision. While Pretty Okafor suggested Felix as the coordinator of CIG, the likes of Asha Gangali, Ruggedman, Zakky Azzay, and Felix’s best friend, Sunny Neji, expressed their reservations, knowing how greedy and over-ambitious he can be. Pretty Okafor prevailed on others to make Felix Duke, the coordinator of CIG on grounds of age and experience, a decision he would regret with every fibre in him. Felix Duke went all out to town to start begging for unsolicited supports from corporate organizations and was receiving funds in millions into his private account, but could not account for a dime. He continued to use the platform for personal-vested interest and co-opted his girlfriend in the scheme. The last straw was when he mobilized and staged a meaningless protest against the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in connivance with people who are not members of the CIG. Please note that no executive or member was informed before Felix Duke connived with Charlyboy and Oritz Wiliki to stage the 2019 protest, but he went ahead to execute the protest in the name of CIG. The news got to other members of the executives who tried to call him to order, but he remained adamant. His excesses became unbearable and an emergency meeting was convened by the group executives and PMAN to address the situation. At the meeting, Felix Duke was directed to STEP DOWN and HAND OVER to Michael Ugochukwu Stephens popularly known as Ruggedman while the activities of CIG are being probed, a directive he blatantly refused and almost got into a physical fight with Ruggedman. Felix Duke’s best friend, Sunny Neji, who was also at the meeting looked him in the eye and told him, “Felix, you have disappointed all of us, please step down”. Other notable witnesses include Zakky Azzay, Ruggedman, Asha Gangali, Tunde Omitogun, Pretty Okafor, and others. Felix Duke later stormed Pretty Okafor’s private residence with his girlfriend the following morning to beg him to retain the coordinating capacity of CIG, noting that he was invested so much in the group. Unlike Felix Duke’s personified credence to CIG, Pretty Okafor told him that the decision of who leads CIG is not a unilateral matter, but a collective decision of executives. Today, Felix Duke has decided to create CIG within the figment of his imagination and has gone about to solicit funds from unsuspecting organizations with no verifiable project on sight. His desperation to steal and destroy were exposed when he wrote his usual letter of support to the “Ministry of Tourism” with fake documents and the executive of PMAN was called to verify the authenticity. Felix Duke is unlettered and lacks the requisite intelligence to actualize anything other than to beg for money. He did not inform his handlers of the risk of forgery and impersonation he's robbing them into, these are crimes that are punishable by the court of law. Felix has claimed that the Creative Industry Group is a registered organization that also has its Trademark name registered at the Ministry of Trade and Investment. That is true. But we challenge him to present the documents before the public to back up his claims. Will he presents the same FAKE registration sheet of paper presented before the honourable Commissioner for Information and Tourism, Folorunso Folarin-Coker, which was utterly rejected? Felix is morally bankrupt. Mr Felix Duke was asked to step aside and hand over to Ruggedman, due to his high-handedness and inability to account for the fund, he raised in the name of the group. His camp has continued to concoct lies so often that anything they said in defence of Felix and his regime is greeted with derision and laughter. They constantly lie and every Nigerians can see through their lies, especially when their version of events and statements are contravened by Felix Duke. Every discerning mind will wonder why Felix has never been granted an interview to speak extensively about the Creative Industry Group or how he’s related to the movement. How does he manage a group he knows nothing about its history and core value? Felix has gotten into the mud. That is his habitat, he belongs in the mud. Like the dirty-smelling pig, he’s used to fighting publicly and fighting dirty. So he jumped into the mud first. “He also referred to the substantive spokesman as ‘One Nosa Omoregie’ like a stranger who just came into the picture. Let it be on record that Nosa was and has been part of the team from the day Creative Industry Group got its name at Shadare’s Gbagada residence in 2016. “We do not expect anything less from Felix order than to direct his lawyers to challenge the audacity of CIG to operate without him in the picture. Certainly, he will not want to risk jail term by presenting fake documents to the court of law. “We will also advise his handlers and cohorts to tread carefully, as Felix is only acting in ranting in ignorance.” He wrote.

A CALL FOR POWER ROTATION AND NOMINATION OF PRINCE. TONYE PRINCEWIL FOR RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR 2023. Our dear good People of Rivers State, We the amiable members of Rivers Women Development Forum Worldwide here by wish to officially bring to your notice our collective resolution to fight for rotation of Power in Rivers State, which truly gives everyone a sense of belonging in our dear Rivers State. It is time to produce a Governor from the Riverine part of Rivers State for the sake of fairness and equity. Every reasonable indigenous Man or Woman that is from Rivers State knows that it is time for Power to rotate in Rivers State from upland to Riverine Part of our beloved dear Rivers State. Justice is the proper ordering of people and things. All races and religions include a definition of justice in their codes of law and conduct. Justice is, in fact, the glue that holds societies together. Justice includes the notion of upholding fairness and equity. A call for rotation of Power in Rivers State from upland to Riverine is a long over due call for Justice. We must not allow selfish Politicians to continue to do what will divide us than unite us. It is unfair and wicked to think of retaining Power in upland come 2023. Rivers Women will reject and resist any ill attempt to deny Riverine part of Rivers State the opportunity of Producing a Rivers State Governor from Riverine part of our dear Rivers State. Behind the concept of justice lies the notion of balance that people get what is right, fair and appropriate. We all feel we deserve equal and impartial treatment. Therefore, our call for rotation of Power is a good step towards the right direction. Interestingly, we are pleased to officially announce that after deep Political analysis and consultations, we collectively resolved to call upon Prince. Tonye Princewill to run and contest for Rivers State Governorship come 2023. He took on Odili before wike even contested for Governorship. He is intelligent and smart. He was not among the 2019 contestants that had different crisis and Political challenges. He's a known brand and a Man with the experience since he took on Sir-Peter Odili way back. Prince. Tonye Princewill is the right choice that can easily win Power for the Riverine interest. We have chosen him and will drag him out to contest come 2023. Signed. Miss Blessing Castro. Spokesperson: Rivers Women Development Forum Worldwide.

The Nigeria Creative Industry Group CIG has condemned the act of Multichoice after paying the sum of N120 million to Tony Okoroji’s defunct Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON),, and has demanded that matter be investigated by law enforcement agents. Speaking to newsmen on Monday, February 8 2021, Nosa Omoregie Oloto, the association spokesperson stated that the decision of Multichoice Nigeria Limited to deny Nigerian Musicians of their hard earned royalties by making illegal payment is both cruel and irresponsible and should be probed into by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC. He wrote; The Creative Industry Group has been sufficiently briefed about the irrational decision of Multichoice to pay a defunct organization, the sum of N120 million naira for the royalties that are supposed to go to music artistes and content creators. Multichoice as a reputable brand cannot claim to be ignorant of the fact that COSON’s licence has since been suspended by the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) over 3 years ago after failing to submit to Forensic Audit as its members were not satisfied with the Organization for objectionable and questionable practices. We want to put it on record that CIG is following the event as it unfolds and will not hesitate to mobilize for a wholesale boycott of subscribers if it refuses to admit guilt and do the needful. As a frontline movement I the creative industry, we will not accommodate any form of fraudulent practice at the detriment and expense of our creative minds who have worked hard to disburse creative materials that Multichoice has decided to misuse. It is disheartening that Multichoice went ahead to file Notice of Appeal in matter that is obviously anti-progressive to the collective interest of creative industry that it solely depends on for content acquisition. We are also aware of some elements who believe they can dictate to the Supreme Court to rule in their favour and upturn the N5.9 billion judgment against Multichoice Nigeria Limited., and we shall be waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court on the matter. The music industry has grown tremendously over the last few years to the admiration of local and international audiences, fans and players. We cannot afford to allow ourselves be portrayed as a bunch of jokers or renegades, who can be used and dumped by content merchant who sees creative minds as transitory elements”. The group calls on Nigerian government and law enforcement agencies to rescue the creative industry from the clutches of Multichoice and its allies in the industry. “We also call on all genuine right owners to condemn and resist this crass attempt to blackmail and intimidate artists.”, he added

Distinguished eastern women group, Nkata Ndi Inyom Igbo (NNII) has congratulated the new leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo, urging him to be receptive to new ideas and focus on the challenges ahead. This is contained in a statement signed by the BOT chairperson, NNII, Regina Amadi-Njoku. According to the group, Ohaneze Ndigbo remains one of the highly revered titles that has conserved the formidable unity among the sons of Igbo across the country and in the diaspora, urging the new Ohaneze to live up to expectation as his predecessors to protect the collective interest of Ndigbo. The statement further noted that the challenges ahead are very enormous especially as the nation is battling the surge of herdsmen in the south. While reiterating the position of the group, Amadi-Njoku maintained that NNII has been, and will remain a formidable group of influential women who eschew partisan alignment with any individual or group at the expense of our most cherished pastime as a people with value and respect. “The challenges facing the Igbo nation in Nigeria today created the consciousness that a properly primed Ohaneze leadership can provide a potent negotiation tool for Ndi Igbo. “As a Pan-Igbo group, we at NNII wish to appeal to you to show that you are NDI NDU UZOR in the real sense. The real leadership of Umunne must come with the family spirit of Ndigbo. We pray that you take time to heal the pre-election rancor and misunderstanding which is not unusual in any human interaction. We believe that a peaceful ala Igbo is a precursor to development and progress. “We all know that NKATA is the Igbo way of bonding and discussing socio-political, cultural, and economic progress and therefore suggests it should be your mantra. We want the new leadership to return to the long-held Igbo values of community, the Onye Aghala Nwanne Ya and the Igwe Bu Ike spirit Ndigbo succeeds with and is known for. The group advised the new leadership to remain focused and avoid being used by any group or individual in settling old or personal scores as that will derail Ndigbo from achieving their goals. “We want a leadership that represents the interests of all Igbo stakeholders, big and small of Alaigbo development, and inclusive of women participation in governance and development. We want a leadership that would put up our course in a Nigeria that does not see any leg of the tripod holding the country as inferior to the other.” the statement added The group also advised the new leadership to remain receptive to new ideas as challenges ahead would be more of ideological wars than initially thought, and to ensure the unity of Southwest towards 2023 agenda.

QUESTIONABLE PAYMENT OF OVER N120 MILLION BY MULTICHOICE NIGERIA LIMITED AND COLLECTION BY TONY OKOROJI’S DEFUNCT COSON. QUESTIONABLE TRANSACTION UNCOVERED!! It is regrettable that a major broadcaster in Nigeria like MULTICHOICE NIGERIA LIMITED has chosen to deny Nigerian Musicians of their hard earned royalties by making illegal payment of over 120 Million to Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), a proscribed and unlicensed entity, to the detriment of Nigerian and Foreign Artists and Right Holders. We have it on good authority that COSON is not a CMO and has no power to collect any royalties on behalf of Nigerian Musicians. So what was the money paid by Multichoice to COSON meant for? Note that COSON’s LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED AND REVOKED by the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) as far back as 2018 for refusal to submit to Forensic Audit as its members were not satisfied with the Organization for objectionable and questionable practices. It is pertinent to further note that Multichoice decided to collude with a nonexistent Organization (by Law and as pronounced by the Court) even in the clear evidence which are abound and DSTV cannot claim ignorance of the Law as it stands today and for all time in Nigeria. We believe this is one of the financial crimes in which the EFCC should also be interested. This we are aware may not be unconnected to the Multichoice Nigeria Limited vs Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) case in which the Court of Appeal confirmed the Judgment against Multichoice and the order of court for Multichoice to pay N5.9 Billion to MCSN. We have been following events and we know that Multichoice has filed its Notice of Appeal and for this reason we would not want to comment on the case that is still in Court and would allow the Supreme Court determine the case on its merit. However, we are aware that some individuals have been boasting that they can move to “walk the corridors of the Supreme Court in Nigeria” with a small fraction of the judgment sum and get the Judgements of the Lower Courts (Federal High Court and Court of Appeal) set aside in the N5.9 billion judgment against Multichoice Nigeria Limited. We have been informed that they have also continued to boast that the case will take another 10 years or more before it would be heard thereby wanting the world to believe that the Nigerian judicial system is slow or does not work. We would like them to know ahead that COPYRIGHT is a “Choose in Action” (as pronounced by the Supreme Court) and as such the court is the ONLY place this issue can be resolve and rightly so. Therefore PMAN will not sit and watch MULTI CHOICE DEFRAUD right owners by colluding with a Revoked and proscribed Collective Management Organization like the defunct COSON . PMAN strongly believe in the Judiciary and the Temple of Justice. Our Judges are upright and would not compromise the name that they have built over the years for such injustice as it affects the musicians of this Great country Nigeria. This case is definitely more than an Election or Political case as the Lives of our musicians and Youths who are laboring every day to showcase Nigeria in good light through Music are dependent on their ROYALTIES and they should not be allowed to continue to wallow in poverty by these “CABAL” in the Industry. We trust the Supreme Court would give this case the Urgency it deserves and save the Talented Nigerian Youths from the hands of these slave drivers. We hereby give notice to Multichoice that should there be any slight unethical move by anyone or lawyer or any attempt to subvert justice to the detriment of Nigerian Musicians , PMAN will act swiftly in the best interest of Nigerian Musicians and would no longer tolerate where users of. copyright works and imposters continue to destroy and defraud our Industry thereby killing creators who are dying daily from abject poverty and hunger due to these malevolent acts against practitioners in Nigeria. Multichoice has continued since inception and establishment of its business in Nigeria to exploit our common wealth just like other known South African companies without paying due royalties to the creators of the contents in Music practically. It is a known fact and as confirmed by the Managing Director of Multichoice, Mr. John Ugbe, that Multichoice had over 9 Million votes in the recently concluded Big Brother Naija Season 5 which amounts to over 27 Billion Naira made during the show apart from the monies made through sponsors and advertisements. Despite all the gains, MULTICHOICE has refused to pay the Musician whose Intellectual works they have continued to exploit and infringe daily in their operation and broadcast PMAN calls on ALL relevant authorities particularly the NCC and the NBC to further investigate and prosecute anyone found wanting especially as it concerns the illegal operations of COSON as a CMO against the Copyright Act 2004 LFN at Section 39 and unlicensed broadcasts of music contents by any broadcaster in Nigeria as provided in the National Broadcasting Commission Act and Codes. Pretty Okafor PMAN President.

Renowned custodian of African cultures, who equally is the traditional title holder of The Erelu Oodua of Aye kingdom and Irawo Oni of Yoruba land, Erelu Tinuade Mabel Onaneye has on Tuesday 26th of January 2021 declared her support for notable Yoruba activist and fighter, Sunday Adeyemo commonly called 'Sunday Igboho' whose arrest has been allegedly ordered by the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu last week. She made the declaration from her base in Texas, United States in a press release she signed and made available to the general public at the early hours of Tuesday. Erelu posited Sunday Igboho has done no wrong for challenging the killer herdsmen and taking the battle to their homesteads. She accused Buhari of being biased and turning deaf hear to the cries of Yorubas who have been victims of the activities of these illegal squatters and murderous herdsmen. She had wondered why the Presidency suddenly swung into action when the Fulanis in Igangan under Ibarapa council area of Oyo State cried out for help. She said it was clear indication Buhari is running Fulani's agenda and was using the herdsmen to initiate their plans, citing the case of military men who stormed a community in Ogun State and flogged the residents for rejecting the herders. 'I and millions of other Yoruba sons and daughters in the diaspora are fully in support of Sunday Igoho and other Yoruba groups fighting to rid our forests and farmlands of these evil people. If Buhari dares arrest him, he should prepare for what he never expected from us.' Erelu declared. In conclusion, she calls on all Yoruba leaders, Kings, Chiefs home and abroad including the Governors, not to see this as Sunday Igboho's battle alone, rather all hands must be on deck to end the activities of these killers masquerading as herdsmen. Peace to Yorubaland

Lagos East Senator, Tokunbo Abiru has reacted to the allegation going round that he influenced the selection process if the Governing Council in the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious Lagos State University, LASU. There have been rumours that the 9th senate member, prevailed on Lagos State Governor to cancel the first selection process that the Governing Council had initiated to allow the senate decide the next VC. In a statement released on Sunday, 24 January 2021, the red chamber lawmaker stated categorically that, the appointment of LASU VC, like other tertiary institutions nationwide, should be based on competence and due process, he maintained that Joint Council and Senate Selection Committee, that is saddled with the responsibility are capable of delivering on their mission without external influence Read full statement below My attention has been drawn to a viral video on the decision of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to cancel the process that the Governing Council of Lagos State University (LASU) initiated in synergy with the LASU Senate to select the next Vice Chancellor of the university. In a 10-minute video published on @baloguneko Instagram handle, one Abisoye Oyeyemi Oshodi wrongfully alleged that I prevailed on Mr. Governor to cancel the first selection process of the next LASU VC. He also alleged that I told Mr. Governor to screen out indigenes of Ikorodu Division contesting for the vice chancellorship position of the university. He claimed that I gave this advice on the ground that Ikorodu Division was only interested in the governorship seat and not the VC position. All these claims were nothing, but mere figments of Mr. Oshodi’s imagination. They do not in any way represent the truth. I neither prevailed on Mr. Governor to cancel the process first initiated by the Joint Council and Senate Selection Committee to select LASU’s next VC nor ever influenced him to zone the position out of Ikorodu Division for any reason. As a matter of fact, I did not play any role in the whole process. For the purpose of record, I worked in public and private sectors for 32 years before I joined partisan politics. For this period, I was a promoter of good corporate governance hinged on competence, due process and transparency. Even though I am now in partisan politics, I still believe these values should be at the core of operations in all public or private institutions. Coming from this background, I strongly believe the appointment of LASU VC, like other tertiary institutions nationwide, should be based on competence and due process. This is the position I have always held, especially in this era when we consciously look forward to our universities to lead the path to sustainable development in all facets of life. Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru, FCA. (“Tokunbo Abiru”) Senator, Lagos East, Federal Republic of Nigeria January 24, 2021

The highly revered international cultural icon, who doubles as the traditional title holder of Erelu Oodua of Aye kingdom and Irawo Oni of Yoruba land, Erelu Tinuade Mabel Onaneye has on Friday 22nd of January 2021 submitted that the Fulani herdsmen have turned Yoruba farmlands into "EVIL FOREST" and killing fields one cannot go without fear. She made the submission during a press release she signed and made available to the general public at a brief visit to her hometown, Aye in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. Erelu expressed worries over persistent attacks against farming communities in Yoruba lands, especially Ondo state and the infiltration of Fulanis into Aye Kingdom, many of who denied being Fulanis but call themselves Tarabas yet look no different from Fulanis and know every nooks and cranny of the communities. “Some of the Fulanis engaged in Okada riding business, they knew everywhere, the Fulani people had already invaded the South. “Please be bold, be strong, stand your ground, ignore Garba Shehu and whatever he represents, and give Leadership to your people as security of life and property is paramount to Governance and it is the first responsibility of government. Kindly Insist on your stand sir, the good people of Ondo State are with you irrespective of political leanings”, Erelu told the royal fathers. “We have had enough of Fulani Herdsmen onslaught on our people in Ondo State. From Ifon to Okeluse, from Ofosu to Okeigbo, from Lipakala to Aponmu, from Ikakunmo to Oyin, from Ikaram to Ishua, from Idoani to Oba Akoko, the story is the same, nowhere is safe anymore. These people have overstayed their welcome and usefulness, it is not acceptable for strangers who are doing their own private businesses to come to our land and continue to destroy our crops, kidnap our people, collect a ransom and kill our people in our own land with our police and security helpless most of the times. “We know that not all herdsmen are bad but since they all look alike and since the good ones and have refused to identify the bad ones and point them to the Security Agencies, they should all leave our forests, for now, to pave way for profiling in the future”, she submitted. She added that it is devastating how murderous herdsmen painted the once peaceful, picturesque domains into human abattoirs. She acknowledges the current role of the administration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in ending the menace in Ondo State. “Gov. Akeredolu, the Balogun of Yorubaland, be bold, be strong, stand your ground, ignore Garba Shehu and whatever he represents and give Leadership to your people as security of life and property is paramount to Governance and it is the first responsibility of government. 'I join hands and hearts with millions of the Yoruba sons and daughters in the diaspora so throw our support behind Governor Akeredolu's decision to rid our farmlands and forests of illegal squatters and herdsmen. “On this note, I give kudos to him for standing his ground not minding the cost and the threat from the Presidency, unlike other southwest Governors, who for political reason and for fear of losing 'Presidency favour' chose to shy away from doing the needful!' Erelu commented. Good job brother Aketi.”, she concluded.
