Admittedly, Dele Momodu commonly called Bob Dee by his friends and close associates knows his job too well but sometimes, it is too difficult to figure out which side he belongs. If he says 'A' today, tomorrow he might say 'Z'. Many years go, he bragged about being a dependable voice of Nigerian youths, next thing you know, he's doing the contrary. I'm sure he's not unaware the world is watching and noting. When Sowore was arrested and detained by power that be, Dele Momodu shared fiery tweets that berated youths where he claimed they 'abandoned' Sowore. He mentioned in his tweets why the youths with their 'mouths' could not 'put resources together' to secure the release. Fact is, Dele Momodu, a failed presidential candidate (whose only supporters were his immediate household) lacks principles. This is a man who writes against corruption yet celebrates looters. He almost sold Diezani Allison Madueke back to us if not for few bright minds close to top, who didn't buy his lies. He was disappointed! Here's a man who is putting his resources together, including his literary prowess to support a known drug baron, certificate forger, billion van mover to fulfill what he called 'a day with destiny in 2023. He's been everywhere on social platforms; he had initially thought Facebook is too low for his caliber of journalist. He believed Facebook is for the fracas and playground for nonentities. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be fulfilled on Twitter and Instagram, now he's back on Facebook where a little less than 60 to maximum of 150 viewers watch his Facebook live chat. What a pity. What a man. Anyways, I'm joining a good number of his curious observers to welcome him on board. Author: HRH Tinuade Mabel Onaneye, The Erelu Oodua of Aye Kingdom.

Sequel to the appointment of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the chairman of the 104-member National Campaign Council for the Ondo Governorship Election by the All Progressives Congress, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has raised an alarm over alleged diversion of Lagos funds to re-engineer Ondo state governorship elections in favour of the ruling party. The APC through Hon Seye Oladejo, the Lagos APC’s Spokesman dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded. In a statement released on Wednesday, 12 August 2020, the APC said all allegations raised by the opposition in the state is not only wild and reckless but also, false and unfounded. It reads in part; “Our attention has been drawn to the nauseating occasional vituperation of the opposition PDP as regards the appointment of the governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu-olu to lead the APC campaign for the forth-coming Ondo State Governorship election. “The characteristic wild and the reckless allegation has shown the consistency of the warped state of mind of a frustrated opposition party that is determined to sell falsehood to the people. The false and unfounded allegation of the intention to divert resources of Lagos State is at best admission of what obtains in the PDP whenever there’s an election. “Nigerians haven’t forgotten the Dasuki-gate which provided a looting spree in the name of elections. It’s also an open secret that the PDP has remained in permanent opposition in Lagos State because its leadership is gifted in looting election funds. The party added that while the opposition is healthy in a democracy, it is not a license for false and jittery allegations, adding that the Lagos State Governor was appointed to lead the election campaign based on his remarkable performance in office despite the pandemic. “It is important to put it on the record that the well-thought choice of the Lagos State Governor to lead the election campaign was based on his well-acknowledged remarkable performance in office despite the prevailing unusual challenge. He’s also known as a great manager of human and material resources. “It’s laughable that you described Mr Governor as lacking political experience after successfully and effortlessly retiring your serial governorship candidate. “However, the bad news is that the discerning general public find your bazaar-like governorship primaries in Ondo and Edo states distasteful and has resolved to react accordingly with their votes. “The release which can be regarded as crying wolves where there’s none can at best be described as prophetic of PDP’s imminent defeat in the coming elections. “The disintegration of the PDP house of cards in Ondo State after the governorship primaries and the desperation of your Edo state candidate which led to the demolition of the state house of assembly are incontrovertible pointers,” Oladejo added.

The ancient Iruland has continued to wobble through her multi-faceted challenges, and one of the issues involved the alleged hijacked throne of the ancestral Oniru, by an individual from the Abisogun ruling house. The current strife in the ancient town is majorly about the imbalances in terms of the sense of belonging nursed by the ruling houses in the delicately structured declaration that has been conserved by the founding fathers of Iruland, a situation that’s necessitated the allegation for marginalisation and the call for review. The Ogunyemi ruling house have been short-changed over the years on account of the prism ascension to the throne, which was sequenced in turn as Akiogun comes first and Ogunyemi comes second. The Abisogun, going by the 1993 declaration, comes third. Being one of the most organised towns in Lagos State, there is a laid down declaration that regulates succession sequence to the stool of Oniru; a unanimously established document that is meant to be followed by every royal blood of Iruland. The Lagos Island Local Government Chieftaincy Committee, having the interest of all the ruling houses represented, established the declaration and was duly signed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyinka Oyekan II, the past Oba of Lagos and the Governor of Lagos state at the time, Sir Michael Otedola. The declaration was later registered by the ministry of Local Government later that year. The section 1 of the Declaration established identities and number of the Ruling Houses in the Oniru Chieftaincy Family to include the Akiogun, Ogunyemi and Abisogun. Secion 2 of the Declaration specifies the order of rotation in which the respective Ruling Houses are entitled to provide candidates to fill the successive vacancies in the Oniru Chieftaincy as follows: Ogunyemi, Abisogun and Akiogun. When Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru joined his ancestors, and there was need to select another leader, it was then that the entire ONIRU ROYAL FAMILIES agreed to have a declaration which we regulate Ascension to the throne without future crisis. Following the section 5 of the declaration, however, when the ruling house whose turn is to provide candidate to fill the vacant stool of Oniru fails to do so, and there are more than one ruling house, the next entitled ruling house would be called upon. This is embedded in the registered declaration. So in 1993, OGUNYEMI RULING HOUSE received a public notice from ETI OSA LOCAL GOVT asking them being the next in line ruling house to provide a candidate, they held a meeting and the minutes of the meeting was sent to the local government where it was declined by not having a candidate as at then, ETI OSA LOCAL GOVT, again notified ABISOGUN RULIING HOUSE, being the next entitled that, OGUNYEMI RULING HOUSE had declined and according to the regulations they are next entitled. They also held a meeting and minutes of their meeting was sent to the local government, in which they also declined based on the enormity of the office. It is pertinent to know that when the two Ruling houses declined, it was then that ETI OSA LOCAL GOVT had to notify the 3rd Ruling house which is AKIOGUN. It is evidently proven in OGUNYEMI RULING HOUSE, press release and it was aired for purpose of clarity on the 11/02/2020 and this was sent to all the appropriate office for their perusal and response. There are also indication that Gbolahan Lawal’s underserving imposition as the Oniru of Iruland by the Governor of Lagos State, was blatantly rejected by the Abisogun family. The family had in a protest staged in June 2020, claimed that Lawal was neither a member of their family nor qualified to be the Oniru. They called on the federal government to prevail on the Lagos State government to reverse Lawal’s installation as Oba. The head of the Omowunmi Abisogun Oniru ruling house, an 88-year- old Alhaji Surajudeen Durosinmi, claimed that Gbolahan Lawal, was imposed by the Lagos State governor, as the new Oniru for motives best known to him and his cacophony of plotters. The entire Abisogun ruling house made clear of their unanimous rejection of Gbolahan Lawal, discrediting his Obaship as a brazen desecration of tradition, and a suppression of the clear extant laws of the land in respect of the procedures for choosing a new king.

The management of Lagos' foremost academic institution, Grace Schools has decried the attempt by some disgruntled elements and a section of the media to drag the school into slanderous, baseless and unfounded rumors stemming from the extortion of the parents. In a statement released on Monday, 10 August 2020, the school stated that the report doing the rounds is merely a malicious effort to soil the name of the school by evidently disgruntled elements whose intention and purpose is best known to them. It's statement reads; "We unequivocally put it on record that Grace Schools has not collected such unreasonable amounts from any of our parents in the course of resuming academic activities after the COVID-19 lockdown. The children only resumed school first time today since the forced closure of schools in March. All the students resumed as day students and none have paid any boarding fees. We request the rumormongers to present evidence of payment and who they paid the alleged N1.5M to, or which hotel the children were camped in. We believe this baseless story is sponsored by aggrieved people who could not accept our decision not to open the boarding house without ironclad safety measures being put in place. It is wicked, immature and uncalled for. We have sought a legal modality to investigate those sponsoring the malicious rumour and the blogs used to magnify the slanderous, malicious and defaming lies. Grace Schools has thrived on a long standing record of integrity, credibility and honesty. As an institution whose teaching is hinged on honesty, and good moral conduct, we eschew any vice that may soil the hard-earned, and long-won credibility that the school is known for. It is saddening that a media platform can jump at junk stories and in unconcerned desperation publish such without following the basic code of journalism, INVESTIGATE. We also appeal to the general public to disregard the story as a deliberate attempt to create unnecessary crisis for this noble institution.

Following the recent social media claims that the Niger Delta Commission is demanding refund from the senator Peter Nwaobosh, representing Delta North senatorial district in the 9th senate, the red chamber lawmaker has reacted to the deman which has been tagged as invisible. In statement released on Saturday, August 8, 2020, by the media aide to the senator, the lawmaker stated that no letter has been received by his office and no copy has been seen anywhere else online. He advised that the sponsor of the letter should have gone through the legal path if his claims are genuine and implore reputable media to ignore the letter. Read statement in full Our attention has been drawn to the purported subject matter above, credited to one Peter Claver Okoro, Esq, posing as the Director, Legal Services of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and we make bold to state the following: 1) The purported letter addressed to the Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi was written on the 5th of July 2020 and as at today, 8th of August 2020, said letter has not reached Senator Peter Nwaoboshi - either in person or Office or by substitution. 2) We have searched through the internet, no one has seen a copy of an officially signed letter on the above claim. This would have helped us identify whoever has signed to go to jail for such an unimaginable falsehood in a supposed corporate environment. 3) The purported letter, unlike any formal letter emanating from a recognized government Ministry, Agency or Department is not signed, therefore, can easily be denied. The ostensive letter is obviously fake as it was not conveyed through the official letter-headed paper of the NDDC, one would not expect any serious media organization to pay attention to such as it is obviously meant for the usual blackmail to divert attention from the monumental corruption charges hanging on the management. 4) Our media organizations, aside failing to reach out for a balanced story, ignored the many obvious traps in the said letter that inadvertently has the name of someone from “Delta Development Commission” as contained in the piece sighted online. 5) Nowhere in the contents of the purported letter was it stated that the contractor is directly linked to Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi. it is expected that since the said letter did not claim the contract was awarded to Sen Peter Nwaboshi, there was no way he could be asked to make a refund. The scam meant for blackmail contain ominous sign of a fake piece. 6) In addition, nowhere in the purported letter was it stated that the warehouse, where the plastic chairs were domiciled belongs to Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi. 7) The purported letter is absolutely fake and should be ignored by the public. We also appeal to the media to be more diligent and not allow criminals on the prowl take false advantage of freedom of expression to malign innocent citizens. We appeal to the media organizations who have published, unknowingly, to immediately correct the attempt to legitimize the fake piece.9) We are also not ruling out media urchins who may have been recruited by the desperate members of the IMC of NDDC in an attempt to divert public attention from the humongous corruption allegations. The public should, therefore, pay no attention to such debauchery. However, if the IMC of NDDC feel they truly have a genuine case against Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as contained in the purported letter, we are challenging them to go to the law court or make use of every legal procedure available to them. A clear conscience fears no accusation. Awele Onokwai Legislative/Media Aide to Sen Peter Nwaoboshi Saturday, 8th August 2020

A subtle warning has come the way of the Peoples Democratic party ( PDP) Governorship candidate in the forthcoming Governorship election in Ondo state, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede ( SAN) from a source that is to all intent and purpose apolitical , Erelu Tinuade Mabel Onaneye, The Erelu Oodua of Aye kingdom, a Nigerian royalty and culture Ambassador in the Diaspora. The Erelu Oodua of Aye kingdom, who by her traditional stool is a spiritually inclined Amazon, said Mr. Eyitayo Jegede’s victory was truncated in 2016 because of disunity and lack of a common front within his party structure, noting that this time round, while there is a sense of cohesion within his party, his choice of Deputy Governorship candidate may be his greatest undoing. Erelu Onaneye said while the coast may be clear for him to have a shot at the Governorship seat in Ondo state, he should be wary of detractors within his party who have already started to give him wrong counsel on whom he should settle for as his running mate. The Erelu Oodua who had an exclusive telephone chat with thepolity.net from her base in The United States said, what she saw was that the PDP candidate was misadvised to pick an unpopular Deputy Governorship candidate and this had a backlash on their joint ticket, stressing that if there is any political decision he must take now with utmost circumspection if he really cares about his Guber ambition, it should be to select his running mate wisely having made an involving and wide consultation with elders and stakeholders of his party, warning that if he relies on his whims or volition or wrong counsel, it will cost him loss of a huge followership among party faithfuls ahead of the October poll. Asked about her reason for the project she has embarked on at the ancient town of Ode Aye, her country home, Erelu Oodua Mabel Onaneye stressed that the essence of the project is to open Aye, nay Ikale Land to tourism. She said the project when unveiled will serve as an attractive tourism package which will draw tourists and sight seers to Aye kingdom, adding that there is a rich historical undertone to the project, which narration will interest and fascinate tourists. “The phallic structure at Ile Ife, the source – Opa Oranmiyan- has attracted dignitaries , tourists and historians from all over the world to Ile Ife and that is what we hope this project will achieve for Ode Aye. You can rest assured it will put Aye on the global map by the grace of Eledemare,” Erelu Onaneye enthused. Erelu Oodua emphasized that the structure she is erecting at Ode Aye is a self help project wholly bankrolled by her humble self in her bid to give back to her community and contribute to the revival of the rich culture of her homestead. Prodded on her opinion on the effect of civilisation on traditional African culture and religion, Erelu Maybel Onaneye retorted, “what civilization?” She said civilization never eroded our culture, religion or traditional beliefs, rather Africans are those who have chosen to point at their ancestral heritage with their left hand. The Ode Aye born African culture impresario condemned the attitude of Yorubas who have resolved to be more holy than the Pope , who outrightly put down traditional beliefs of their forefathers in their desire to appear amenable to Western culture and religious beliefs, noting that in the United States and other part of Europe, there are a whole lot of cultural practices that is peculiar to white people which they hold in high esteem and celebrate with pride, aplomb and fanfare, yet they’re christians, who go to church as well. “Those Nigerians you see claiming to be civilized and on the basis of that Pooh poo our traditional and religious beliefs are not civilized, they are plainly primitive and stupid! In my Aye-speak, they are better described as ‘ the primitive inhabitants of Lagaba camp.’ Yes , the white people did come to preach their culture to you, but with your knowledge and sense of history, you should know that your belief system cannot just be held with odious disrepute by a fellow man who wants you to see him as your superior. It’s common sense, you know? So anyone who loses track of his cultural heritage to me is not civilized, rather such people are stark primitive folks ,” Onaneye noted. On her outstanding sense of fashion and dress sense that reflect her rich cultural heritage and background, the Erelu Oodua noted that she is not just conscious of her fashion but much more conscious of what her royalty dictates and the need to carry herself as an Erelu Oodua from the culture conscious Yoruba Land of beautiful cultural background, relevance and heritage. When it was observed that her dress sense puts her on the same royal pedestal as the famous Yoruba royal father and billionaire entrepreneur, His Imperial Majesty Oba Frederick Akinruntan, the prescribed authority and Olugbo of Ugboland, whose fashion conscious royal outfit puts him in a unique class among African royal fathers, Erelu Oodua Tinuade Onaneye while appreciating the observation, said Olugbo is a revered Royal Father but she is not , adding that she is an Erelu, a royal personage who champions the cause of women liberation and who has the ears of “Kabiesi.” She said Oba Akinruntan’s glowing Royal robe is complemented by shining muffler and of course , he carries himself well. In her own case, Erelu Tinuade noted that in most occasion, she dresses in sparkling snow-white apparel and she drapes her shoulder with what the Yorubas describe as “Pakaja”. Narrating the source of her dress sense, she stressed that her personage signifies the liberty of the African woman, maintaining that the Statue of Liberty in America drapes the same shoulder cover to emphasize the essence of Independence of humanity. Erelu Oodua said the root of this Independence is found in Africa because this “Pakaja” had been known in Yoruba Land as a fashion outfit long before the Advent of Western Civilization. As the Ondo State election approaches she charged the electorate to vote according to their conscience , advising the good people of the Sunshine State to eschew violence, as no politician is worth spilling blood on. Erelu Oodua Tinuade Onaneye charged the people of Yoruba Land and Nigerians in general to always strive to be real, noting that there are lot of fakes in our society and these fakes project Nigerians as people with double standard life style in the eyes of the world, condemning the fakery in our national psyche. Giving an instance of how fake our people can get, she said in the political space hardly can any politician be taken for their words because what they promise before election is always different from what their policy in government projects. She said the idea of being fake has permeated every sphere of our social life and it doesn’t bode well for our national brand. She equally called on the people to have the fear of God in their dealing with fellow men and do away with violence, noting that there is too much spilling of blood of the innocent in the society,

President of the African Institute of Enterprise Development and Management, Mr. Ladipo Johnson, has called on Nigerians to wake up from their slumber and take positive steps that could rescue the nation from further slide amidst the prevailing yoke of poverty. Johnson, who is also the convener of the NGO, The Johnson Initiative for Positive Impact in a statement at the weekend noted that the Federal Government through its economic policies had enslaved Nigerians and regretted that the people have had to accept such tough policies thereby adding to their recurring suffering. He observed in particular the increased rate of the Value Added Tax (VAT) to 7.5% and other related taxes on consumer goods and services, including the graduated percentages of up to 6% stamp duty to be enforced on rental and lease agreements, which Nigerians have been subjected to by the government. He criticised the development as "unhealthy and insensitive" and one which should be reviewed. He also drew attention to the different corruption allegations and charges against prominent government officials, pointing out that the revelations of huge corruption at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and the mind boggling accusations against the erstwhile Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) were crimes (if proven), against the people of the country. Johnson charged Nigerians to rise up and ask relevant questions from the government on the need to ameliorate the situation which, he said, was becoming unbearable to the masses. He stated: "The Federal government should as a matter of urgency come to the rescue of the people who are now being suffocated by the increasing rates of VAT and sundry charges. "The people should get some reasonable level of economic reprieve especially in the face of the prevailing economic situation with little disposable income amidst suffering and deep poverty. Everywhere you see poverty even as the government does not seem to care. The government is taxing and spending ridiculously and has not taken any concrete steps to reduce its size or wasteful spending! Yet the wave of corruption raging menacingly in government is baffling. "But now the people must ruminate on the reason government exists in the first place and make their voices heard. I pray that this government listens by implementing commonsencical economic policies to help ease the hardship in the land".

National Association of Independent Online Media Publishers, NAIOMP has commended Nigeria’s leading commercial bank, Access Bank, with the manner at which it responded to customers’ complaint over Stamp Duty charge mandated by the Federal Government. The bank had in the month of June 2020 acknowledged feedbacks from its customers following the Central Bank’s Stamp Duty Charge as instructed to be deducted by all Nigerian banks. Access Bank considered customers’ feedback and decided to refund the Stamp Duty on our customers’ behalf for the affected period. NAIOMP, in a press statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Lateef Owodunni, commended the bank for its prompt response to customers’ plight and running a customer-focused banking system. The statement partly reads: Our Association has acknowledge and congratulate Nigeria’s leading bank, Access Bank, for its decision to refund customers of Stamp Duties for the month of April and May, after customers complained about deduction amid economic hardship caused by the deadly COVID-19. Amidst the tension faced by the banks at the first ease of lockdown, when banks were partially allowed to work, Access Bank stood out in terms of effective customer service delivery and operational structure. Nigeria’s stuttering economy has created a challenging environment for its banks in recent years, but Access Bank maintained its weight, with its performance on profitability. Access Bank saw the possibility of a fundamental shift in customer behavior, and predicted a possible decrease in the physical branch visits with an immediate increase in online transactions, peer to peer payments, wallet usages, etc. Access Bank stepped up her game and converted more of these experiences into positive stories for long-term digital adoption. We congratulate Access bank and urge other competing banks to emulate the gesture of the bank, and put the plight of customers into consideration before other matters. However, customers of the bank across the nation commended the bank for attending to their complaints over the Stamp Duty charge. They further promised to continue their lasting relationship with the bank.

The government of Lagos State, while in the bid to curb the excesses of hoodlums and landgrabbers in Lagos, seems to still have a long way to go as the rate of land grabbing has gone on the increase in the last 2 years. A pointer to this challenge is the case of some hoodlums who claim to be representing the interests of an Oba and other prominent traditional rulers, trespassed on the of legal property owners in Kirikiri Town of Amuwo-Odofin and have refused to obey court orders ordering them to desist from possessing or trespassing on a 4.5 acres parcel of land and waterfront owned Doyin Motors Ltd. According to reports, the land in dispute was legitimately acquired by Doyin Motors Ltd 42 years ago in the year 1978 and the company has since carried out its business, anchoring its vessels there until a series of attacks by the sponsored hoodlums began sometime in 2009. Since then, pockets of violence have been unleashed on the property owner, occasioned with the looting of properties, wanton damage to multi-million dollar vessels and injury on employees. It was also gathered that the hoodlums who claim to be representing the interests of the Oba and some others, had claimed to have gotten a court order in 2019, an order that was later understood to have been secured without the appearance of the other party in court. The company, Doyin Motors Ltd later made an application to the same court to challenge the order on suit no. LD/5939GCM/18, which was then set aside. The learned Justice, Hon. Justice O.O. Ogunjobi stated “The application succeeds. The default judgment of the court delivered on 10th April, 2019 and its execution are (is) hereby set aside in respect of the 2, 488.520 square occupied by the applicant.” The court also minced no words in scolding the Oba and the Chieftaincy family who disguised under the aegis of a firm called Earthmovers Ltd to institute a legal process that the court later described as being fraudulent and deceitful, “The Respondent obtained the judgment sought to be set aside by fraud and suppression of facts.” the Court Statement read. However, despite the order of the court which empowers the legal owners of the said land, Doyin Motors Ltd to take rightful possession, it is surprising that the police are yet to effect the judgment. Interestingly, documents dated since 4th of March by the Court Registrar requesting for “Police Assistance” to effect the court ruling are yet to be complied with by the Lagos state police command. Sources said that efforts by court sheriff to serve the court ruling to effect the order has been frustrated so far. “It is sad that some police officers at the Command claimed that the first one submitted was misplaced, while efforts to submit another one is being frustrated up till now.” representative of Doyin Motors while speaking with newsmen said “This has taken us months to get the judge to vacate the ruling. It has been one story and another to get the Lagos state commissioner of police give the sheriff approval to take our land back from them.” ” They did the same to owner of the land next to ours too. They went to court to sue that unknown persons were occupying their land and they got judgement without the knowledge of the legitimate owners of the land in question.” The Lagos State Property Protection Law 2016 among other things, sought to bring an end to the menace of land grabbers. Some of its provisions requiring up to 21 years imprisonment for offenders. Many expect the Lagos State government to come down hard on anyone contravening this law to serve as a deterrent to others who may want to test the government’s resolve in this regard. It is therefore surprising that the Lagos state government has not stopped the activities of these land grabbers who have become a thorn in the flesh of property owners residing in the Kirikiri Town area of Amuwo-Odofin. Keen observers say this would be a test to the commitment of the Lagos state government to enforce its own laws.

Oloruntimilehin Bosede, who is popularly known as Kiitan is a multi-talented actress known for her role in the movie Kiitan. This beautiful and curvy entrepreneur turned actress is often described by many as a versatile actress, she is very perfect in interpreting roles in movies. Besides being a beautiful actress, she also runs a successful supermarket and has represented a good number of companies as their Brand Ambassador. She recently spoke to Citypeople’s Movie Desk Editor, ABIODUN ALAO where, she discussed her journey to stardom and life-learned lessons. Read excerpts below and enjoy How did acting start for you? Acting is something I have always had a strong passion for, while I was in primary school, I was part of a theatre group, also I was a part of a theatre group in the church, acting is just fun to me and I derive so much joy doing it, I don’t see it as a big deal being in the industry now. What inspired the movie Kiitan and did you ever know it will make you popular?. Honestly, I just wanted something different from what I used to see on screen, I wanted something people will watch and appreciate. I thank God for his grace, because it’s not how far but how well. Above all, its not really about the movie but for God’s grace. Also, I didn’t know the movie will showcase me so I remain very grateful to God Almighty. Beside Acting, you also run a supermarket, what inspired that? My mum had a shop, when I was younger and from day one of the business, I was practically running it, I help her trade on different things like provision, baby things and creams, so that was where I learnt everything from.so while growing up, I always dream of having something that will be giving me daily income and I already have an idea of what it takes to run a supermarket, I decided to start up mine. Do you have any regret so far being in the movie industry? I don’t regret things in life. I have been through a lot in life and I feel the movie industry is another life entirely, so no matter what happens to me in life, I overlook things and move on, so no room for regrets. I always concentrate on what working towards the future, not just what’s happening now and if am opportune to change anything in the industry, I think I will preach love, not just the love we display on social media, I would like people in the industry to show each other genuine love, not the eye service thing, just the way they say it, let it come from their hearts. Have you ever been victimized before in the industry? No,I have never been victimized, when it comes to that, I have been extremely lucky, everyone that I have come across has been so good to me and also encourage me and I appreciate all of them a lot. Would you say, your looks have helped you earn more roles? Laughs!!! I can’t say my looks earn me more roles but most often my looks fit perfectly into lots of roles I interpret. At times if am asked to seduce a man in a movie, I don’t need to do much because am blessed with a body that makes it quick work for me, acting is make belief and besides the looks, I have a strong passion for what I do. Who are the people you look up to in the industry? I have lots of them that have inspired me in one way or the other, I look up to people like Muyiwa Ademola, Genevieve Nnaji, Femi Adebayo, Mercy Johnson, Funke Akindele, I love Toyin Abraham. I look up to lots of people as long as you are good at what you do because someday, I want people to look up to me too. You were once engaged, why did you end the relationship? There was no understanding, we didn’t really understand ourselves, things didn’t work out, we both tried to make it work but it didn’t work and if you ask me, it is better to have a broken relationship, than to have a broken marriage so we went our separate ways, he is married now .life goes on and we are cool, this thing happened before I even got into the industry. What is the difference between Kiitan on screen and the real Kiitan? the real Kiitan has been through a lot in life and has learnt to appreciate herself and never compete with anyone, she makes friends easily and trust easily, open-minded but don’t give second chance to betrayals, I don’t keep grudges, love my friends but my circle is small, and I put my family first after God. Kiitan on screen is just a young lady who tries to always interpret her roles passionately. How true is it that you regret the tattoos on your body? Honestly, a lot of people read meanings to it, once they see you carrying tattoos, they tag you wayward and irresponsible so at a point I got tired and wanted to get rid of it. When I went to South Africa, I wanted to get it erased, the procedure was in session and I needed to be in Nigeria so I left, now I have embraced it, I even want to reshape it, because it’s getting old and I want it to look very fine again. Why do keep more of guys ad friends than ladies? I have always enjoyed the company of guys from day one, some people even call me a tomboy. I learn a lot from them, with them no competition, all they want to do is make money, with them, no gossip or jealous, I will rather be with guys than ladies, with guys around, no fight, malice and grudges.

The trending new book from the west coast of Africa, SAKADELLI, has made its way to the White House Library and other leading universities in US and Canada SAKADELLI is one of such stories, and it is told in colourful and poignant language - complete with evocative poetic as well as prosaic undertones Whether it is one story in many multilayered dimensions or many interlocking stories, is for the reader to judge. What is clear, though, is that this volume is reflective of the multidimensional personalities and situations it describes, namely, characters who live their lives with what the French would call 'savoir-faire.' The lives described in this book are far from perfect. On the contrary, they have had their share of sorrows as well as joys, disappointments as well as exhilaration. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0893MB9HD But out of these experiences - many of which lead through many pathways (from both literal and metaphorical mountaintops to valleys) - comes a combination of self-awareness, acceptance and, yes, wisdom, a combination which makes SAKADELLI such a powerful, tender and funny book all at once. It is a celebration of life in all its beauty and chaos; a cautionary tale about right and wrong choices and their consequences; and an eloquent protest at many of the social ills and subtle injustices that we often take for granted, or turn a blind eye to. It is a story written from the perspective of the eccentric title character, Sakadelli, who slides in and out of the stories to create a string of evocative and provocative and humorous stories to confront pervasive societal norms. This volume is a mirror which allows us to see ourselves in a humorous way, appreciate our follies and laugh at ourselves while deeply reflecting on the general rules of engagement in life - including living and loving. Sakadelli takes the reader from the innocence of bygone childhood to contemporary issues, both peculiar to African society and international. Sakadelli is published as a book for young adults across the globe (18 and above), as well as older, mature audiences in their roles as parents, guardians and mentors. Some of the stories in this volume (such as ENYIOCHA & ENYIOCHA) are reminiscences of a sheltered childhood, complete with doting but stern parents with their unique brand of tough love, marred by a sudden loss of innocence as a result of war. Others (like THE CONVO; OUR GIRLS, OUR DAUGHTERS, OUR SISTERS; THE MEN OUR MOTHERS RAISED, and others) are an examination of some of our cultural norms regarding gender issues, marriage and the place of the woman and girl-child in a patriarchal African society. Stories such as THE VIRGINITY DIALOGUE deals with the crisis that usually accompanies a young girl's burgeoning sexuality, and the tragic, avoidable errors this can sometimes lead to. In stories like, SO THE CARD MAKES IT OKAY? and RETIREMENT PLAN, the author chronicles a satirical account of the acceptable practice of Nigerians who go to great and often undignified and bizarre lengths to secure residency, citizenship or simply comfortable lives in the United States - often leaving a trail of heartbreak, tears and in some cases, blood. SAKADELLI is written with passion, humor, pathos, and intelligence on some of the most critical issues of our modern, fast-changing society - from the mature mind of a well-processed point of view. Its unique and fresh perspective laced with humor . Written in colorful prose along with its poetic flavor otherwise known as Verse, this makes SAKADELLI a brilliant offering, and a sumptuous literary feast to savor for a long time.

We just focus. We have our Vision Statement and our Mission Statement. One of the major statements in our vision is that we are daily-driven. So we set our targets every day, every week, every month. We start a new month as if we are just starting all over again as if we didn’t achieve anything last month. So our Focus on Housing Provision is the key strategy. Popular custudian of Yoruba traditional history in diaspora, the renown Erelu Oodua and Irawo Oni of Yoruba, Tinuade Mabel Onaneye, has notified President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to ease the effect of lockdown imposed on the people to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria by giving them money via Bank Verification Number (BVN) to cushion the effect of the hardship caused by the total lockdown I a statement released from Texas, the United States of America, Erelu on Saturday, May 2, 2020, Erelu told President Muhammadu Buhari that Nigeria cannot effect a total lockdown because it does not have a functional systems like the developed countries. Erelu stated that the United States and many other countries that enforced a total lockdown to battle the pandemic actually put adequate measures in place to lessen the sufferings of their citizens, Starnews NG can report. She wrote: “There is no justification for delaying the stipends meant for Nigerians in this difficult time. “As effective as lockdown might be in curbing the spread of the ravaging coronavirus, government must be ready to actively play her own roles to make it work.” “Asking a family that can hardly afford daily meals despite their daily hustles to stay indoors till only God knows when, can be very disastrous. Lockdown without food kills faster than COVID-19 itself.” “Many Nigerians especially, women and children have been catapulted into with the additional costs burden caused by the lockdown as prices of food items have continued to rise almost on daily basis and people now spend so much to buy less.” “Only a country with functional systems can afford a total lockdown.” “In the United States and many countries battling the pandemic and enforcing lockdown, their governments put adequate measures in place to lessen their sufferings and Nigeria’s case shouldn’t be an exception,” “It would be easy to reach every house, saying, “no matter how poor a family might be, at least one person will have a bank account with BVN through which they can be reached.” Erelu told President Buhari in the statement.

Warns Him To Stop Desecrating Yoruba Royal Institutions. Erelu-Oodua Tinuade Mabel Onaneye, the traditional title holder of Erelu-Oodua of Ode-Aye Kingdom and Irawo Oni of Yoruba, has on Tuesday 21st of April, 2020 cautioned, Mr. Almoroof Yekinni, the self-acclaimed 'Prince' of the incumbent Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, to desist from actions he's known for, which are capable of causing discord among Yorubas in diaspora and belittling the revered and sacred Yoruba traditional stools. Erelu in a statement issued at her base in Texas, United States described Aare Almoruf Yekinni as 'Arije-nidi-madaru' a Yoruba philosophical concept used to describe someone of bad character, who benefits from causing rancour and discord in any gathering or system. Such a person's significance, according to her statement "is directly proportioned to the magnitude of controversy he's able to orchestrate". '"Almoroof in his desperation to be noticed ended up being in the news for wrong reasons. His latest, being the source of the trending scandal between one of the wives of Alaafin Oyo and the fuji music icon and Mayegun of Oyo Kingdom, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal commonly known as K1 De Ultimate. That was not his first. That is what he's known for. First, he claimed to be Alaafin Oyo's prince, yet it has been confirmed he's not related to Alaafin in whatever form. Again, he gave himself the title Alaafin of Washington DC without a reasonable basis. He's simply on a mission to make a mockery of the revered monarch", She added in the statement she personally signed. On the much-discussed scandal, Erelu posited that even though she's not a fan of K1 De Ultimate, she still believes the allegation against the Fuji icon might be untrue given the pedigree and the shady background of Aare Almoroof Yekinni who was said to have sold the unconfirmed news to bloggers in Nigeria from his base in Maryland, United States. Erelu reiterated that over the past few years, she and many well-meaning Yorubas in the United States have had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the mission and agenda of this perfidious element and have concluded he's nothing more than an attention-seeking none-entity, who goes about meddling into issues he's evidently unequipped to handle, desecrating the tradition, titles and throne that predates him. As a matter of fact, because of his untruthful and uncivil attitude, the much-respected Oyo-Tunji Royal Circle in South Carolina that honored him with BOBAGUNWA title has distanced themselves from him long before now. Erelu called on every true son and daughter of Oduduwa living in the United States and other places outside Nigeria who might know this man to call him to order. She concluded, "Almoroof must tender an apology letter to Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, Queen Basirat Adeyemi, Oyo kingdom and the entire Yoruba traditional institutions. Erelu has been a resolute and articulate crusader, who is assertive and fearless. She has been telling truth to power despite whoever may be concerned. SAINT-OLAWALE JIMOH, ERELU-OODUA TINUADE M. It was in this town he would begin to display a predilection for music, and his post-secondary education transition period before he gained admission to a tertiary institution offered him ample time to exercise this passion. He began buying a few musical instruments with which he could make and orchestrate beats to colour his own compositions. #Arrel, #Lagos Lifestyle, #Expensive Lifestyle http://www.citypeopleonline.com/lagosians-expensive-lifestyle-inspired-lagos-arrel/

It’s only been a week for Nigerians, but the effect of the deadly coronavirus emergency is about the only thing on anyone’s mind. Everyone is concerned about friends and relatives, as the government is trying to put in place, workable modalities to save the country from the clutches of the pandemic, but no one is talking about those who are extra vulnerable getting sick, the people with special need and disabilities. This was made know by the convener of the popular Non-profit organization, Empathy Driven Women International Initiative (EDWIIN), Uri Ngozichuckwuka in a statement released on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, stating the urgent need to donate relief materials for persons with disabilities, PWDs, in the heat of the deadly coronavirus spread. She wrote; "When crisis strikes, people with disabilities face higher risks to their well-being and survival. "The government is worried, the people are equally worried about the loss of income, careers, and businesses. We are afraid of what it will be like to “social distance” for months, rather than just a few days or weeks. Uri Ngozichukwuka, Convener, EDWIIN "How can we easily forget the high-risk group, who is considering the safety of the disabled people? "When pandemics break out when the earth begins to shake, people with disabilities often cannot flee on their own, and their families may not have the strength or means to assist them. "Terrifying dangers can await those who are left behind, including the risk of death. "While we make provision for an emergency as government and as people, People with disabilities usually fall through the cracks during response efforts. "Lagos has its fair share of 15% persons with disabilities. The country already has 85% of its population living below poverty lines. "People living with disabilities make up a significant percentage of those statistics. "This is why our PWDs-driven foundation, EDWIIN is calling on government and well-meaning Nigerians to stretch their hands of support and donate for these people. These are terrible times for the Dwarfs, the deaf, dumb, albinos, blind, and orphans whose livelihoods are equally knitted to the efficiency of the regular commerce. "In the wake of the world epidemic, these persons in the vulnerable target group stand a higher chance of starvation isolation and death before Covid 19 steps in "Empathy Driven women international initiative ( EDWIIN) hereby, call on the state government and manufacturing companies across the country to partner with her and provide the basic necessities for these persons as soon as possible. We call for donations of the following Rice Beans Garri Spaghetti Tomatoes pastes Noodles Tissues Sanitizers Bathing soaps and detergents Towels Stipends. Vitamin C Chloroquine Logistics companies for deliveries These items will help preserve them as the country grinds to a halt. The logistics and distribution of these items will be sorted out by state representatives of persons with disabilities EDWIIN calls on all to be empathetic towards each other in these times. EDWIIN cares Plus masks and gloves.

Nigeria’s leading advocate for the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities, Empathy-Driven Women International Initiative EDWIIN, has drawn the attention of the Federal government to the recent Job Advertorial placed on one of Nigeria's daily newsprint. as it openly and deliberately discriminated against those who are tagged as Disables. The advertorial, as placed by Nigeria Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire, And Immigration Service Board, has been tagged as Anti-Inclusion, as it specifically mentioned that "Applicant with any of the following physical challenge need not apply" In a statement released by the convener of EDWIIN, Uri Ngozichukwuka, she hinted that Persons with disabilities are the subject of considerable discrimination, especially when it comes to employment. Many companies do not expressly include persons with disabilities in their workplace diversity policies and employers continue to express reluctance to hire these persons. "In the wake of the recent signing into law of the Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2019 by Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, the major challenge has become the question of implementation, especially by the supposed overarching agencies which recruit in the thousands almost annually. "It is pertinent that we take into cognizance, any form of the public notice that makes a mockery of the disability bill which has been duly signed in 2019 by President Mohammadu Buhari. "Such deliberate attempt to ridicule, and openly reject Persons with Disability in the workplace is taking the country back 20 years by this posture. As a society, we need to move with times and be more empathetic towards one another. "Families with persons with disabilities are already bearing the brunt of their care. Those that acquired skills and education could contribute immensely to the economy. They make up over 15% of our population. How do we alleviate poverty if we do not engage this demography? "People with disabilities are very good with admin work. Great at desk work and data collating. "We shall continue to make noise until our aim, which a workplace free of discrimination, patronizing attitudes, or resentment on the basis of disability is eschewed. "We are calling the civil defense out to retract this anti inclusion advert, as bothers on gross insensitivity and lack of regard for the United Nation's SDGs that other nations are striving to honor in all ways", She stated EDWIIN has been at the forefront of the campaign for the domestication of various international protocols and conventions on the rights of persons with disabilities by the Nigerian authorities.
