^^ Why do you say all of a sudden? cheesy

I remember the days when Welbz and Sturridge were on loan and back then I had arguments with nateevs I think on my preference for Welbz. It's nothing new.

Besides, once you put on the Red and White, you get debosky's backing 100%. cool

Wey 4uller?

Remember I told him that Welbz is that guy. grin

So far so good for him I'd say. . . .thank heavens we signed him, if not we'd have ended up playing Sanchez at CF and burning him out by now.

As for the 'only play Ozil as a 10' crew I have no comments for y'all at the moment beyond this - lose the rigidity. grin

Too many omissions - any list not featuring Fela (teacher no teach me nonsense is a personal favourite), Onyeka Owenu (one love), Prince Mbaga (sweet mother), and even Shina Peters (Afro Juju/ACE) is highly incomplete.

Even if you want to do a list from 2000 till date, there's no chance there'd be any Davido/Kcee song in the top 20 (Skelewuism and limpopoism notwithstanding grin).

You'd definitely have the likes of 2face, Lagbaja, Dbanj, and even Terry G. grin

@ DK

That is largely due to his position as Citeh's captain in two title winning seasons in that period.

While not wishing our players ill health, Ramsey was due a time out of the side - Santi on form should be starting ahead of him every day of the week at the moment.

Personally I'm satisfied with Welbeck's output so far - no one believed we were signing a 20 goal a season striker, but the boy doesn't stop working, roundabout lago notwithstanding. grin

The next two games are going to be tough, but personally Wednesday is far more important than Sunday - we have to win in the CL as a minimum.

4llerbuntu: Aaron Ramsey
Mikel Arteta
Jack Wilshere
Nacho Monreal
Yaya Sanogo
Mathieu Debuchy
Theo Walcott
Serge Gnabry
Olivier Giroud
+ now KOSCIELNY!
pretty impressive really. to think that some of you here campaigned against buying more players because "The club has too many, where is he going to play"

Still too many players overall IMO - even with that injury count, Rosicky, Campbell, Coquelin, Diaby grin, and Poldi have not made a single league start between them.

Still too much dross - you can't keep increasing the wage bill indefinitely - get rid of some of these and quit stockpiling what you don't need.

Clearly we've left ourselves short in central defence and Wenger will reap the fruit of his stoopidity on that front soon enough. Personally I'd cancel Jenkinson's loan deal ASAP and bring him back so we at least have Chambers as a CB option. Bellerin is still too raw at the moment.

edi287: This 4-1-4-1 formation simply doesn't work. i don't know how long it'll take before wenger realizes this. How stubborn can a man get?? you spent 42.5m on the best no 10 on the planet just to move him on the left.

I just pray we don't get battered against chelsea next week. If we don't sign a dm this jan, we might as well kiss the top 4 goodbye.

Dunno why you're still making noise about Ozil being played on the left - why are you fixated with formations? What side was Ozil when he got his shot on target in the second half?

Ozil's position has nothing to do with the draw - it was down primarily to Spurs' excellent defensive performances. Kaboul and Lloris had excellent games and you can't begrudge that. Combine that with Flamini being easily dispossessed and you have your answer.

It's a tad silly to bring out your 'Ozil didn't play as no 10' guitar after every poor result.

The truth will come out eventually - from being an adopted 'principle' to quoting the Didache which states that it is the RESPONSIBILITY of every Christian to pay tithes and first fruits eh?

Pray tell who were the specified recipients of the tithes and first fruits according to the Didache? The Levitical priesthood or someone else?

Why should we countenance something completely at odds with the teaching of the apostles? Where did Paul or Peter or John teach tithing/first fruits as a responsibility of Christians?

Pataki: I hope today's game has silenced debosky about how Wenger is really killing Ozil's game by throwing him to the flanks. I was a bit happy when I saw Wilshere injured. The stubborness of Wenger sometimes can be mentally frustrating.

Give Ozil his natural role and watch Arsenal show the world how to score three goals in three minutes and 12 seconds.

Utter bullocks - did Ozil score from being the leftmost part of the attack or from being central? Did Ozil cross for the goal from the no 10 position or from the same left wing?

I don't know what type of TV you watch games on.

Neither goal nor assist came from a no 10 position - the claim is baseless.

I'm glad he scored and assisted but he needs to do that far more often considering the freedom he's given by Arsene

i'm not talking about THE foundational truth, which maybe is Jesus Christ, or faith in Him(to you i guess). i'm talking about a foundational truth in understanding the Bible as a whole.
When you ask why Olaa is not obeying this or that commandment, it has to be explained why. The explanation again being the context of the commandment. Is a particular Bible commandment good? Yes, the law is good, and holy. Is there something better than that commandment available in the same Bible? What is the aim of the commandment? Is it a sin to obey the commandment? Is it wrong to obey the commandment. These are some factors you consider.
If you keep insisting that Olaa keeps wave and heave offering, else he has broken all the 'principles'. You are talking about justification.
Staying out of the temple during monthly flow was a purification thing for instance. It determined if the person was clean or unclean. In the new testament, we both know what determines being clean or unclean.

You do not understand my simple point - Ola is picking and choosing what verses he converts into 'principles' - can you give me one good reason why tithing as described in Malachi under the law is any different from wave and heave offering? Why is tithing of Malachi more 'deserving' of being a principle than wave and heave offering?

If being 'good' is the only requirement for being a principle, what is 'bad' about wearing single material fabric or staying out of the temple during monthly flow provided you're not doing it for 'justification'?

If you simply said it is good to do x and y, that is different from saying it's a principle. If you can't see that distinction then don't bother - you don't understand where I'm coming from.

Utter nonsense - firstly Wenger isn't looking for any defenders at the moment and secondly, you don't bid for player who are free agents.

From today's press conference it sounds like subtle tactical changes are being made to give better performance against the top teams. One might say it worked on Saturday but failed on Sunday.

Also on the Ozil vs no 10 issue Wenger has said if you look at his heat maps he is free to play all across the midfield. His heat map from the Citeh game partly supports that.

Tithing is not SENSELESS copying or repetition. BTW, any 2 or 3 things you learn from the Israelites 40years in the wilderness?
You need to understand that James and scriptures generally is talking in context of being born again/justified/pleasing acceptable to God. The route to being acceptable to God has changed. If one wants to follow the old testament route, then one has to follow it thoroughly which BTW is impossible(says the Bible). Nothing wrong with good works(tithing is one), but if you want to use good works route to be justified or seen as righteous before God, you have to observe every law without missing it(which i say again is impossible). Jesus told the people of His time that none of them was keeping the law. Paul said all have sinned and there is none good, not one etc. That route is impossible. The new testament route is faith in Jesus. You will continue to miss it and be confused if you don't understand this foundational truth, whoever YOU are. Get that into your spirit.

Sir, I have the foundational truth which is why no amount of 'Malachi principle' can confuse me. smiley

My point is very much established and wasn't against tithing in its basic form - 10%. However if one wants to convert a specific commandment in Malachi specific to a temple and call it a 'principle' then that is plain copying to me.

I haven't spoken about justification at all here so you should be able to deduce that it isn't the bone of contention here. No point to repeat what is not being contested.

Is wearing single fabric clothes/staying out to the temple during monthly flow also 'good works'? After all they are in the OT for our 'learning'.

@ 4uller - nothing groundhog about this season - we've not played well aside for 30 mins in the Citeh game. In the typical seasons we'd have won 3/4 games by now.

Disappointing so far, but all to play for.

Forget Ozil/Ramsey and even Welbeck - their attacking flaws can be excused.

It's Arteta, Kos and Per that need flogging. Atrocious all game long, and due to Wenger's idiocy we don't have any replacements for them (Flamini was injured too).

Small mercies that very, very few teams will be able to muster the intensity of BvB from yesterday.

The main concern is whether these CBs will improve with no replacements. . .

Coach Debosky ... fabregas is available if you need a player to do the assists tongue

Nah we've got Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Santi etc. to do that. If Cesc can play CB/RB let me know. grin

Wenger saying we've only got 3 fit defenders eh? I wonder who let Jenks go on loan or sold Miquel/Djourou this summer. His foolishness may bite him big time and there'll be no excuse to hide behind.

Hehehehe. I hope you'll be on your best behaviour from now on.

Ozil is simply off form at the moment - I don't buy this playing as a 10 business as the cause. That said he did improve in the second half so I'm expecting more against Dortmund.

If the injuries continue we'll be left with Ospina playing CB. Ridiculous state of things.

OLAADEGBU:

You don't have to be discursive. I am not really surprised that you and your blind followers cannot discern how the OT applies to Christians is this day and age.

I have no followers - you are clearly in need of more than a thesaurus as your glib usage of 'principles' indicates you lack a thorough understanding of what you're peddling nor any comprehension of your error-riddled position.

To obtusely parrot that the OT was inspired (when inspiration was never in question) is instructive of your deficiencies.
