dczieta: you have decided without a fair trial its your opinion sha shebi?Broda i don go download meek mill's tony story(it seems its in 2 parts) ok take this track put it in reverse with a lot more complexity, then u get Nas' Rewind. Its still ma opinnion oh, but if we get technical and count syllables per bars, sentences per bars, syllables rhymed and so on you'd find tony loosing to the rewind. |
nkwenu umaji oh, derailing of life. |
dczieta: Guy why you dey Bleep up nw how can you compare Stan to any song in this life? Even ordinary Meek mill's Tony story is better than RewindOkay I had gotten tired of this thread already tlll you compared meek mill's tony (which i have not heard) and nas' rewind, so i will just take a lil time of my cooking to say; mehn you get ur own opinnion oh, but even meek mill and him oga for mmg knw say nas is their lord. I take baba God beg you no talk this tin for sone kin places oh. |
take it from me bro: Em would murder all ^^^ them cats u mentioned including KOOL G RAP!!! The only rapper i wouldn't place with Em is BIG L in his prime (livestyle of da poor n dangerous era). Secondly BDK might give Em a tie. who d fvck is EASY E?!! Dont make me laff bro. derz a different aura n spirit dat rap battling has n real rap heads understand dis. being better in a rap battle doesn't tell who d overall better rapper ... its complex. DMX?? wtf?! i take it dat u don't understand d mathematics of lyricism. talking about some folks don't know rap? true. but if u referring to me, then u got a long way to go.... I'm on anoda level bro. real recognize real n d real rap heads here know themselves. ur only worthy mention is CUBE n dat was way back in death certificate era. think about it. pls note i don't like Em, but he a psycho.
oh boi kool g rap is better than eminem oh. |
victorv12: How can Em surpass Ice Cube, DMX and Easy ?! Bro, Easy's boys alone, BG Knocc out and Dresta, Em can't match them...Again,Ice-Cube...Cube is 'FLAWLISS'!!Its just like when kung fu students surpass their master. I thought we were talking freestyle battle, but let look at it this way Ice cube was floored by common, most of easy e's songs were written by ice cube, brother the internet grants you access to countless rap analysis read them up and listen again. Em is good but mot the best though, even kool g rap said Em was the only rapper of this time that impressed him but thats his own opinnion sha. Eminem is a rap fort, i get were ur coming from though but Em for me still rocks my boat. |
victorv12: I can't laugh...Who said Eminem can murder any MC in a rap battle?! Guys, when I hear statement like this, it makes me want to puke...Em is good, no doubt, but do you guys ever listen to Kool G rap and MOP( Billy Danze & Lil Fame)! Mahnn, I know Em can murder Kendrick Lemar,Drake and some new cats out there, but not these MC's I mentioned. In fact, I know female MC's that can slaughter Em!!!Come on Eminem vs Kool G Rap would ne suicidal for Eminem, MOP too is outta this world, but i heard methodman aint into battles, also no matter how legendary thr others u have mentioned are, i am sorry to say but eminem surpasses DMX, Ice cube and easy e. |

was just reading up this article and just discovered nairaland has cesoured the word top. rapgenius.com/posts/1752-Rapper-s-flow-encyclopedia-2pac |
my point exactly! Em can murder almost ANY rapper in a rap battle. but then again, a rap battle isn't d OVERLL basis factor for rating. D better rapper is he who is not just a do.pe lyricist but he who can paint REAL n vivid pictures that folks can relate to... in clever n creative form. for example, lets compare nas's 'rewind' n eminem's 'stan'. these two songs are about story telling. both were nice but nas was more creative n deep. i mean dat ni.gga told a whole BACKWARDS! !! damn!!, datz track was first of a kind in rap. nas said "shoot, please don't" rewind that ^^^ line back n see why they call him ESCO.
Definitive story telling is quite hard to pull out, like the Wu once said anybody can rhyme but its what you say and how you say it that makes ppl knw abt u. For me slick rick is still the best storyteller ever, reason his track children story, and his verse off mosdef's auditorium ask for a vivid picture and he'll offer it on a gold platter. Nas did excellent on rewind first ever and only. if you'v heard the track stray bullet by organised konfusion off the album stress: the extinction agenda monche and po give a vivid tale of how a bullet leaves a gun and literally kills. Common dazzled with i used to love a H.E.R. Men story telling via the art form of rap has too many practitioners not leaving out immortal techniques dance with the devil. Have you heard the track Em and Nas did tittled Topless u could judge them from that. |
Freiburger: You 're right, i still got memories of the Nastradamus album, there was a direct runned advert as one of the its tracks. The ad was a joke on some crazy stuff they called hydrodrops |
do u agree dat eminem would kill nas in a rap battle? answer, then we can debate further ....
I'll agree, that in a battle, off the head freestyle battle, Em surpasses Nas,esp after i saw the cypher of Em, Mosdef and Black Thought. Beyond that...... |
so u r being shadowed, best you watch ur step. |
saintvalx: How did he go commercial, was the lyrics tight or not? A catchy hook and an incredible beat is not a crime as long the lyrical content is on point.Guy according to the magazine MASS APPEAL, the moment Nas and large Professor went diff ways after their work on Illmatic Nas was in a way commercial i.e as you know d albums after illmatic amongst which were Nastrodamus and Godson though having commercial success were in no way up to par when compared to illmatic things changed with the lost tapes and still-matic, so Nas like Biggie was once commercial. Has anyone heard from Craig Mack. |
don't compare them with a single project bro. jay-z in his prime dayz would slaughter Em.
This is a big lie, if jay in his prime were to battle Em in his prime, Em's victory would be bigger than when Dizaster finished Canibus, come on even the guy you qouted says eminen ft jay on renegade, while we all knw its the other way around. Peace. |
Guru asked asked a simple question, "whats going on with the mass appeal?" from the track mass appeal by gangstarr. People who mention Master p who is the old version of Birdman - money and a high degree of wackness- and leave out Big L are falling my hand. Nobody remembers Tha Gravediggaz, Company flow or Organised Confusion, no present dey rapper i'v come across would want to pick up these guys style they were of the 90's and were complex, today you hear nursery rhymes as rap take Nikki fing minaj for instance. Evolution in the art is essential, but shouldn't cause the fall of the art. One thing i like though about today's rap is that ppl dont go out seeking beef or blood unlike the Pac and Biggie era. |
"hip-hop is dead"-Nas "hip-hop lives" - KRS-ONE. Constant arguements will persist as to the way present day hiphop is perceived. A good friend of the B.I.G once said "listening to greats like Rakim, KRS ONE, Slick rick, and kool g rap, one feels like he wete in grad school, but today's rap felt too elementary"- R.A the Rugged man, well its true, exclude a few of todays rappers like kendrick lamar as a lot have mentioned it then becomes hard for someone like me to listen to songs from new cats. I still and keep searching for old and new works from the likes of; The Wu tang clan Common Big daddy kane Kool G Rap Pharoahe Monch Yasin bey aka Mosdef Rakim Guru of Gangstarr Tech n9ne Talib kweli and much more, its at times disheartening that those of us who do not like Rick Ross' rather irrelevant style of hiphop are called haters, and how ppl who would love nothing but to slap Drake if not for anything at all but for taking a jab at Common, who single handedly made Ice cube surrender. hiphop accordind to KRS isnt just d music though but street everything from slang to business. I stick with older heads and whenever a new song piques my interest like Traum diggs 5th avenue flow, and Tito Lopez's the blues i pick em up. |
You look in my eyes, u see it expresses sadness, you expected tears, you saw blood instead. Does that make me emotional or simply mean i am dying? But if i were dying what good would my death bring you, because you just stand in front of me looking into the unnatural condition that is now my eyes, my eye the physical gate to my soul, in your mind is now lost, but then you feel the heat on ur very own face and in ur mind you ask "what is this?" the very uncanny situation you happen to think you saw on some1 else, happens to be you looking at a mirror, the image is of a version of you so far fetched from what you once knew was urself. You notice you'r crying now and then realise it u who cried blood rather than tears, and just as you notice it did not just start, you realise yes your sight is letting go of you but what can be done, questions rush up to your head "how is this happening?" "What is happening?" and most importantly "Why me, why now?". You are in the bathroom, The bathroom you are in is quite large, the mirror ur looking at is directly across the bathroom from the door though not human size in height, the floor is slippery, the hot shower left on, in search for a phone you had broken an ointment bottle, there is no phone in here, you know not the emergency number, no friend at home, neither brother nor sister. Literally u r loosing blood and ur sight along with it, in ur mind all hope is gone, if u navigate via ur existing knowledge, you could slip off the wet tiled floor and crack ur neck or step on the bottle and still crack ur neck, or worse still u crash into the very mirror in front of you, "it just got bad" you say to urself "how else could it get worse" then you turn to take your firat step out. That doubt of death u have at that momemt when seems inevitable is for some HOPE. So how far do you think it'll get you. SURVIVE. |
Magicdon: Thanks @decepticos by USSD am refering to various network codes. I have seen someone making use of communication networks USSD codes. What is USSD?no idea try google |
It is Mobile Telecommunication Network. Those fools who derive fun in spoiling the company name should desist or go and die. This is why you people don't grow. The logical reasoning that should have been imployed to make your point known will be burry for illogical and brainless unterances of yours. Either you like it or not, the system has tremendiously impacted possitively in Nigeria. It gave you employment. procuce star through project fame; these are people who had no hope in making it through their naturally gifted tallent because their Govt. have betrayed them. but with the company and the rest tellecomunication comapanies hope was revived. Dont be an ingrate, try appreciate what we are pressently getting. More good things are still in offing for all of us, let us all be pattient.
Too bad, look who's talking about logic, lowest social intelligence ever. |
the dark twist to this story reminds me of manga storylines no matter how bad it gets keep am for mind say actor no dey die d rest na just action. |
nijanigga: Only in Nigeria you have many educated illiterates, unknown to these morons that great philosophers, poets etc were also great mathematicians, name them Pythagoras,Plato,Galileo,Lagrange,Aristotle etal.Just goggle great mathematicians and philosophers. If Mathematics wasn't of help to them they would have dumped it.The thing with Nigerians is that we love "short cut" to anything good.Understandably many are are forced to pursue a course, but those guys had fun playing with numbers, you must learn to have fun in learning. Even Albert Einstein studied classics.is this supposed to be a suggestion to a stereotype, come on bro not all nigerians are as you think. The flaw is everybody solves math everyday they dont just want to accept it. We sometimes fail to realize that for every decision to be made at least two major variables are considered, the independent variables determine the outcome which is dependent on the independents. Everybody applies this everyday from what, when and how we eat to the babe we ask out, taking it to paper is a diff ball game. Math for me is hard and no fun but i have to apply it in a way that suits me. Math is logic. |
i am no huge fan of math but if you think alot i.e do alot of deduction and probably induction you will get the importance of math logically. ok you study pol sci how then do you implement a proposed recommendation by a macro economist given various data analysis. eventhough i get the point of using ppl who undastand the subject instead, find out how or why Juels vernes authour of 20000 leagues under the sea would need math. if you listen to classical music then a wiki on math and music might aid you. The need for math is endless but like some guy (sorry i am not good with names) at ted talk said it is the aspect of math that is so much no fun and the time the aspect is thaught. e bi like say i don talk too much but you just need to open your eyes. |
y so long? Start sumtin already. |
finally read through even with tha multiple spoilers, i appreciate that a diary from calabar evolved into what we have here, the icing for me still is the intro of a second narrator, still dont know why he has to be silent. Overall wonderfull worl |
