tayoccu: Erm dude Oro went to a diff location.Where did he go? |
has any one seen the movie, One piece movie Z? |
kraftykc: Talking about deceiving other fighters, did you all notice that Barrier fruit guy's (Batoromew or something) face when he recognized Lyffy? They guy was absolutely shocked, maybe even scared!that barrier guy is the topic of discussion on many op forms esp his suprise when he heard d word mugiwara, ppl think bartolomeo looks up to him, others suggest well a connetion btw luffy's father and bartolomeo, eitherway him defeating that king punch guy was suprising, all thesame i just pray kinenmon, brook, nami and chopper are safe. |
i am begining to think again that sasuke is d most confused character ever made, thats sad cos even d directionless zorro from oda's one piece knows what he wants, sasuke's statement got his most dedicated follower jugo speechless. Well then a question comes to mind which is what in God name was madara doing d whole time was he still waiting for d real hashirama and where did kishi hide kakashi and obito? I just hope naruto watches his back sasuke may not find honour in a back stab(not like he is a samurai and honours bushido) but some one who would go any length to get what he wants just arrived, and yes we want to know why he came late. |
well i will first of all appreciate d person responsible for my ban and would pls need an explanation fot such extreme measure ( notice i didnt cus it cos d internet is too large to have a breakdown cos of nairaland) good work. Now truth is geko morria is not dead after the war in the marine HQ, while donflamingo was reporting to the marine exec (who was obviously scared of him) he said morria just went poof (at least dats wat d sub said) meaning morria is alive somewhere, eventhough he like crocodile lost their seven warlord of the sea post (dont know the romanized spelling of the japanese translation) after they encounted luffy. This dressrosa arc will answer some questions like how strong is the joker and did he really not resign like sanji says, why fo the gnomes steal and why do they not what to be known, is fujitora a DF user, how safe is the thousand sunny, how long can luffy keep deceiving the other fighters...? |

kaizoku; one piece puts pirates in a diff light somewhat like pirates of da carribean but its far better with the manga just getting to 710 and the anime catching up close its fun to keeo up with the lead pirates; the strawhats(mugiwara) awesome piece. |
v3: Again, i don't think Hashi's stuff is actually SM. If Hashi can go into SM, then Tsunade was in Sage mode when those markings appeared all over her body when she released the seal on her forehead. I think Hashi amassed enough chakra and summoned that buddha statue in his fight with Madara and the markings appeared when he released the seal(doesn't have to be visible).wait do u expect every1 in sage mode to throw a rasengen, hashirama senju's sage mode aided him to manipulate plant life to a lager than bijuu size, if u want you can return to the manga where it specifically says art of the sage 1000 palm budah or something similar, guy just chill hashirama was one of the few ever ninjas ever to control or rather have ninpo based on something with life unlike the sandaime 3rd hokage who seemed a major earth type or naruto who is a wind type or even sasuke whose ninpo element was fire i think that sm works with ur element. |
make una no vex oh i just wanted to know if there is a one piece thread on nairaland, about the sage mode ish neither hashirama nor kabuto needed the frogs or any specific summons to use SM i hope i havnt spoilt anything, i may be wrong too. |
i just hav to unfollow dis thread better i seek out the naruto thread or sumthing at least dat one brings ppl together. Too many kids here. |

olagamalin: I disagree Sir.... Standard of Living @ OAU is far better, the foodsellers dare not mess with AWO BOYS!!i know FUTA for one has a similar problem, common with the sales persons around the school. |
Correct me if i'm wrong, i believe its the same case around every university. |
i doubt dis is d first or even only topic of its kind on NL but it made d front page so some of us are happy. About Enya, well after reading 10 pages i must say that some people who claim her music is a prep towards an evil spiritual high, dont you think that its dependent on foundational though? No time to talk about ones dark or good sides, but i presume her music could high you towards the most high too. That aside, some people assume i listen to a wierd combo of music, two days back i was listening to Ancora Qui a soundtrack from Quintin Tarantino's Django unchained and then switched to Katherine jenkins version of Leonard Cohen's hallelujah, not only did dem boiz presume me being catholic was d reason i listened to such music but they were all over me for what the lyrics to ancora qui were which i knew not, its not like i dont listen to other geners of music but i could not phathom their reasoning, so i decided not to play enya dat day, because another human had said enya was illuminatis choir mistress. see d thing tire me. i am more of a rap person but i never let a good song from enya, yanni, or a really good opera, jazz or classical music pass me. |

wirinet: I tend to agree with Dorothy on this. I feel in the long run plastics is more environmentally friendly than paper. Of course humans - especially the negroid variety areas very short sighted, we are only able to see short term problems and short term solutions, but is unable to appreciate longer term problems that has far more disasterous consequences.y do i find some stuff here offensive |

mrvictor: That's completely stupid! Are the polythene bags worse than fumes from power generators? are they more environment damaging and non ecofriendly than millions of generator than run from morning till night in nigeria? is it worse than deforestation due to urbanisation and other human activities? He should be talking about fixing power supply in nigeria. He shouid be talking about aforestation & reforestation. He should be talking about the niger delta areas where oil spillage has messed up human existence. He should be thinking of a system where those used plastic bags are recycled and reused creating more jobs and revenue. The guy is simply clueless. Anyway, What do you expect from a society where sensitive positions are used as compensatation to political loyalists?loving this but u know presi gast start from somewhere na, at all at all na him bad. |
now u guys gon make this guy mad^^ |
I went on a trip to an EU country sometime last year and I was shocked about the high smoking rate of the average European even at that smoking is banned in all indoor public venues. The Europeans obey the laws because they believe in the virtues of the law. It is after all their law. Nigerians don't even believe in obeying simple traffic laws which are meant to protect them and others. The laws have to be introduced to Nigerians gradually and they brought along on why the law will benefit society at large (that is what democracies do). I believe the reason for the general lawlessness in our land is because of the antecedent military and civilian dictatorship coupled with very bad parenting. Discipline is usually flogged into a child for them to see reason. We need to go back to the drawing board and begin training our kids right!
I think we just have to throw the drawing board away because we need a 'bottom-up' approach to things not the 'top-down' stuff we are used to too bad people elected to re us who are for now at the bottom dont communicate with us, someone would say we start from the grassroot i'd say we start from ourselves, the lawmakers and rep just have to let us know the reasons fir these laws and i am nit talking of the 20% who use the internet for a good purpose, but the people who would here of this ban and not understand the 'WHY' alot more than just campaigning and partying should be reasons for our politians and academics or even philantrophists. Wetin i knw mine for now is to stay neutral. |
I have earlier said on this thread that the best way to go is not an outright ban since it will be difficult to enforce but heavy penalties and tax to companies that rely so much on plastic packaging. State govts and LGAs should be in the fight too inorder to put in place a well organised waste management and recycling system. The plastic waste can even be exported to China as industrial waste destined for both power and recycling plants. Sweden currently imports waste from England for power generation. This is were the gains can be gotten and were we all need to put out our heads and provide a solution to better our lives ( no human being should drink satchet "pure" water )
you just spoke my brother, sorry a BUT still dey and it's who will enforce this tax payment, and for how long. I have a feeling that these days that when one writes a feasibility report he gives room in his budget for bribery so he isnt disturbed, now dis BUT is going to be a big problem, that and 'the diminishing returns of a law' which is most times in nigeria once a law is passed it is usually hot and well enforced then it gets to a peak point after which it falls to a point were said ban is no longer feasible. i may be wrong though. |

Here is a question for the climate change pundits do we exist for the plant or the planet for us? |
Then get a shopping bag made of traditional materials like rafia whenever you go shopping. Your ancestors never new nylon.
nice idea, i like it its cultural, but whats d capacity of a regular rafia bag, or would u also suggest that i get a tray place my food stuff in them and carry it on my head to my house, oh oh oh i saw this woman who wrapped her stuff with a '6 yard ankara' or better still i'll get a trolley, but u know what knowing where i live and i'm from it wont just work. You know what when you go to computer village ikj to get some phone do yourself a favour and please accept not the plastic bags they give you use a rafia bag it'll go a long way. |
Do you use paper to package water?
No but we are not talking about "pure water" alone we are talking of the 'nylon' or polyethen bags you get when you buy tomatoes (now its starting to feel absurd). just imagine u buy those watery tomatoes from d maket and d mama puts it in a paper bag? like d bits BLIMEY! |
Adolak: Nigeria will not move if we dont start from somewhere. I'm very sure the idea will work perfectly. There is a replacement for it she said "government would favour the use of paper bags in their place."hence encouraging deforestation or is there a way to make papers without a tree. |
waste management is our major problem, just placing a ban is a major league f*+k up, cause these guys assume that the businesses to be affected have no effect on the national income account, gnp or gdp and if this is true then our national figures are in the worst state ever. Anyway i am in no support of this, since there is neither an alternative to satchet water or a good and effective recycling plan, till that is fixed.... |
mikelreal: saw it too, i applied for it,doe i no get masters o, just for fun.i have to try it too then, see what happens. |
