PoliticsGoodLuck Jonathan New Year 2018 Message To Nigerians by dechriscool(op): 8:37am On Jan 01, 2018
https://www.facebook.com/jonathangoodluck/posts/1730078923709141
We all love Nigeria and want the best for her, so no matter what may happen in, to and about Nigeria, never use your mouth to speak negatively about Nigeria. From our mouths must proceed good things about Nigeria. Our speech must add value to Nigeria. When we do this, 2018 will emerge better than 2017 especially if the first thing you say when you get up each morning is God bless Nigeria.

This year 2018, it is also my prayer that the dreams and aspirations of Nigerians will be empowered. That our people will look up with confidence that Nigeria has a place for each and everyone one of them. I also urge that as we embrace the new year, we embrace unity even amongst ourselves, and may we not forget, that for Nigeria to truly succeed, we have to succeed together.

Happy New Year to you and your family from my family and I. GEJ.

Congrats to Mr and Mrs.Wellington .

There is a certain orientation Nigerian celebrity should change from.
Two individuals of the same country of origin prefer another man's country to his mother Land for a wedding.Especially when both couples are resident in Nigeria. This only shows they are not proud of the country that made them who they are.

PoliticsHardtalk:igbos Are Marginalized, why They Are Angry With Nigeria. by dechriscool(op):
Obasanjo -BBC HardTalk. =============================.

WHY IGBOS ARE ANGRY WITH NIGERIA

My friends who are not from the Easvt of Nigeria where Igbos come from often ask me why there is so much anger in the East and among Igbos. Some wonder why, despite the famed Igbo” wealth’ and enterprise all over Nigeria, the people still complain that Nigeria is unfair to them. Some insinuate that the anger comes from the loss of the 2015 election by Jonathan who the Igbos heavily backed.

And why is it that the current generation of Igbos are so angry as to contemplate carrying arms against the country? With lots are following Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB with his secessionist message. Those not following may despise his antics and rhetoric but are sympathetic to his underlying message? And what is that message? That Igbos don’t feel wanted in Nigeria. That decades of official marginalization and discrimination should be stopped or they would be ready to take their chances in a new nation.

First, for those who think this is all about Jonathan and Buhari. It is not. Igbos were disappointed that Jonathan did not win. But those whose candidates lose elections lick their wounds. It is allowed. It happens when your candidate loses election. Why did the Igbos invest so much emotions in Jonathan, a non-Igbo Ijaw? It was more because of the fear of their experience in the past 50 years. Nigeria has placed an embargo on any Igbo man becoming Nigerian president. Jonathan was the next best thing. Other parts of Nigeria have supported their sons to the presidency. Some have bombed Nigeria into submission to get their son to Aso Rock. Igbos have little capacity to blackmail Nigeria to the presidency. They chose Jonathan as their “Igbo”. But that’s not to say that they are angry enough because he lost to contemplate going to war on his behalf. Jonathan was not really the model of a President you would go to war for. And his Ijaw people have accepted his loss. So?

Igbo anger has been building up in Nigeria since I was a kid in the 70s. As kids, we made choices in our school years based on the narrative of the Igbo place in Nigeria. We knew of the glass ceiling against Igbos before we were out of puberty. After the civil war, despite the “No winner, no vanquished” program, Nigeria placed glass ceilings and no-go areas for Igbos. The war reconstruction program was observed more in the breach. There was the “abandoned” property program that was introduced to drive a wedge between components of the former South-East Nigeria. While the country was too embarrassed to put the discrimination program down in an official gazette, it was there for anyone who cared to look. It was evident in the Igbo police officer who stayed in one position while less qualifies juniors progressed to become his bosses. It was evident when no Igbo qualified to become the Inspector General of Police, or leader any division in the armed forces. It was there when "sensitive" or "lucrative" positions were shared in Nigeria and Igbos were conspicuously absent. It was there when Igbos were only fit enough to be made Minister of Information until Obasanjo came to power. And even recently, it was there when Buhari appointed 47 people to man the critical roles in his government and no one from the South east was there. Any time there is a federal appointment in Nigeria, its usually the east that shouts. It was there from Buhari first term to his second term and anyone in-between.

The Igbo elite called it marginalization. Other Nigerians countered by saying no part of Nigeria was getting enough. Marginalization was universal. But they forgot something. The Igbo cry of marginalization was official policy. It was expected. It was programmed. And occasionally, key gove

You don't use violence to suppress violence .
The short memory of Mr.President handlers beat every intelligent imaginations.
A case of blowing up oil installations by Niger Delta militants and the subsequent launch of crocodile smile operation by Nigeria military never yielded any desirable results.Dialogue was the tool to ameliorate the situation.

FG should learn to approach situation of this nature with diplomacy and dialogue approach.
This thing can be done off the camera without hitting up the polity.
An all inclusive government is another panacea to the situation than side lining a particular region from your government.
Grassroot mobilisation and sense of belonging among these agitators by FG might pull out certain numbers of Nnamdi Kanu's followers to government side. This can be done throug public sensitization and town hall meetings telling them government meant well for their region with all sincerity on the discourse

It is aimed at sourcing for solution to the already heated situation between Federal Government and IPOB
PoliticsCrueless Federal Government Playing Into Kanu's Hand. by dechriscool(op):
Collins Ogbolu wrote:

CRUELESS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PLAYING INTO KANUS' HAND.

Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB will never raise arm to fight the military, Their philosophy of non-violence agitation was well crafted and all their members fully indoctrinated to the point of giving their life without shooting even a powder gun. Their modus operandi : do not carry weapon, but say whatever you can to get them mad!!

Kanu understands that he cannot get attention by being polite in the Nigerian society. "Agitation" is not a polite business . So he will go on to belt everybody with insult and threathen every living thing with fire and thunder.

If he talks and you show him class by just ignoring his words and following his case in court while promoting a conter message that will make his supporters doubt him.... like say, Buhari visiting Aba to take selfie with Aria Aria boys and federal radion stations in the south east hosting several talk shows on benefits of peaceful coexistence and calling the attention of the youths to their local leaders as against Northern politicians who have done their own people more harm than they can ever do to an IGBO man.

But no, The federal government in their myopic thinking will send Pythons to go to Kanu's house to dance. Who dey advise FG!! by doing that, you swell Kanu's reputation and make him a hero. In less than a week, three people injured, journalist beaten and the military have already offerred an apology for some blunders. Kanu now headlines the African column of all International news. His followers are increasing. You may say idiots are getting hurts while Kanu is safe, but they chose to get hurts for Kanu without getting paid and without taking drugs. Should kanu take bribe from politicians, his home will be deserted in a second. They follow him because he represents what they believe in. This is different from normal Nigerian political crowd and we must appreciate this fact.

People wrongly thought that Python dance will scare people away from Kanu, but the reality is that, IPOB youths are mobilizing in the direction of the pythons with their flags and camera beggin the dancing python to bite so they can show the world the "Genocite committed against the igbo's" and buy their way into the United Nation discussion table.

Kanu today is the only Nigerian man that youths will defend , facing military tanks with bare hands. You will dismiss such man at your own peril.

The Pythons will leave south east Emberassed as no one will be provoked into fighting. Kanu wanted the python dance, he begged for It , and federal government gave it to him just the way he wanted it.

He prefers pythons dancing outside his house while he sips red wine as he watches his "CONFESSED YOUTH" dare the pythons tanks to open their mouth and send them to their ancestors as heroes(Determined freedom fighters fears nothing). This guys are not fighting for crude oil ooo. They are frustrated Nigerians who hates to be identified as Nigerians anymore.

People will try to justify FG action by claiming that the Nigerian military has been insulted by Kanu's inauguration of biafra police. The police that paraded without even sticks. The parade was the first invitation of the pythons followed by his verbal fireworks. He preferrs this senario than having lawyers debating over his ass in the court.

Somebody should lend FG some sense. IPOB has thousands of followers all over the world. They protest in thousands in UK, Germany and US. When Kanu was arrested, another director of radio biafra in UK emerged. Kill Kanu today, A more educated and determined figure will emerge.

And No, IPOB are not group of unemployed youths and traders in Aba and Onitsha alone who are just follwing that boy Kanu. Those are the foot soldiers that make the street noise. They have Billionaires, professors, Successeful business men, Journalist, world class professionals across all field. They are sustained financially true free will donation. Ladies and gentleme

There is every iota of truth in what Wike is insinuating.
EFCC is so quick to dismissed the owner of the money claiming it belongs to Nigeria intelligence agency. Is this another form of money laundering in this administration.
Buhari always has an antecedents of defending his cronies in money laundering.

What kind of rubbish protest is that?
Presentation of the budget is not a personal property /benefits to the governor..
He is still doing his constitutional duty. However passing the appropriation bills on time will help the incoming governor to kick start his administration without delay due to no budget to work with.

How is this for hypocrisy: all of the 7 Islamic nations temporarily banned by President Trump permanently ban Israelis from their nations. What moral authority do they have to complain about temporarily receiving what they permanently give to others? If it hurts Libya, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq and Iran to be prevented from visiting the US, then why do they do it to Israel and why do you protest on their behalf. These nations and their liberal friends on social media and real life who want equity must come to equity with clean hands and also be prepared to do equity
